I hope this letter reaches you with a sincere desire for constructive feedback and a commitment to improving your esteemed establishment, Seven Villas Hotel & Spa. Regrettably, I must convey my profound disappointment and frustration with the series of issues I experienced during my stay from the 23rd of September till the 25th of September. To begin, my reservations ordeal set a negative tone for my visit. Although my payment was accepted, I did not receive a hotel booking confirmation. Upon contacting the hotel, I was transferred to reservations, where I was informed that my booking did not appear in the system. I was advised to call back in an hour due to a potential system issue. When I complied, I was informed that there was a payment error, causing my initial payment not to go through. While seeking clarification on my side, I faced an unwarranted irritation from the staff. To resolve the matter, I reluctantly made a second booking. Upon my arrival at the hotel, I promptly addressed my concerns, and your staff assured me they would investigate. Regrettably, upon checking out, there was still no resolution. Subsequent calls to the hotel led to frustration, as I was consistently met with transferred calls and no viable solutions. It was only after I expressed my dissatisfaction vehemently that I was finally informed that indeed, the payment had gone through twice. This entire situation could have been avoided with diligent verification when I first inquired about the payment discrepancy. Instead, I encountered a severe lack of professionalism, numerous transfers with no resolution, and unhelpful responses from your staff. Upon my arrival, I endured a one-hour wait to check in, which was a disconcerting start to my stay. The service I received throughout my visit was consistently subpar. Calls were transferred without anyone picking up, despite numerous attempts to seek assistance. The lack of professionalism among your staff was evident as I struggled to address my concerns. Furthermore, the bathroom in the room was leaking and did not flush properly, compromising comfort. During a dining experience at your establishment, I ordered drinks, only to have the waiter inexplicably disappear, leaving me waiting in frustration. To add to my frustration, my attempts to obtain a refund for the double charge have been a protracted and unfruitful process. Two weeks later, and I’m still struggling. Four days have elapsed since the refund, and it has yet to reflect in my account. My numerous calls to the hotel have been met with no response as I continue to be transferred to the head office or back to the hotel, leading to further dismay. I must emphasise that, as someone with a background in hotel management, holding both a Swiss bachelor's and master's degree in the field, and having worked numerous five-star hotels, I have never encountered such unprofessional and unacceptable treatment. I implore you to address these concerns promptly and comprehensively, not only to resolve my issue but also to improve the overall guest experience at Seven Villas. I believe it is vital to uphold the reputation and standards associated with a five-star hotels. I trust that your commitment to excellence will drive meaningful changes within your organisation to prevent such experiences for future guests. I personally would never come back. Our first experience was amazing, which led us to book again. However a year later, it seems as if the professionalism and personal touch is gone. Would never recommend anyone to come here. Sincerely, Celine

For the past 4 years I have been visiting the hotel I have enjoyed my stay time and time again. I visit almost every month for a few days at a time. There have been a few minor flaws in the maintenance during my stays but my most recent bookings have been unravelling a clear culprit. There have also been issues with room service. The waiting time is over an hour and the late night menu, although it is the same as the normal menu price-wise and description-wise the meals are not the same. They do not come with the accompaniments mentioned in the menu. If you order after 9pm, say, the lamb chops with aubergine, mushroom and tomato caponata, mint jelly and lyonnaise potato - it will only come with plain white rice but you will pay the same price. Another issue I had was that I had been requesting airport transfers during my previous 3 bookings (made in advance) where I have been forgotten at the airport and no one has taken responsibility for the miscommunication within the reservations team. The lack of communication between particular staff members has caused a sour taste to be left in my mouth. The previous booking I made was on credit to the hotel as they made a double booking for a suite I had booked online so they had some making up to do. When I made special request (1 week before my stay) such as a cheese board and wine on arrival to celebrate a special occasion my request was not met until a new member of staff came on duty at 9pm at night. I was ignored on the phone and on WhatsApp. Upon forgiving these unpleasant experiences I booked again. This was the last straw. This morning I was intruded on by a group of maintenance men who came to repair the elevator in the suite I had booked. They came without warning and gave me a fright. I have past trauma from intruders in my home and this made me very uneasy. Not the mention I was alone, in my sleepwear, a female in Johannesburg. When I called reception to ask for an explanation I was told by a particular staff member (whom I have had previous issues with) that they tried to call. The phone was next to me all morning. There are no missed calls - why did a staff member not come and knock this morning if their calls were not being answered? Why did they not double check if the guest was comfortable with the repairs being made before the reservation was even over? Why were the Maintanance men booked during a guests stay period? I strongly feel this hotel needs staff training and I am not being taken seriously. I regret giving Seven hotel and villas a second chance.

This was my second stay at this venue and on both occasions I found it surprising, luxurious, inviting, comfortable and accessible. I can absolutely recommend it for business travel but it's one of those places that you'd totally consider returning to for personal travel in future. Positives: It's good value for money - with the touches of luxury and atmosphere that make your work stay more comfortable but at realistic prices. Very attentive staff accessible 24/7 on most days of the week. Breakfast was included and I can recommend the Eggs Florentine as well as their coffee. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable and showers spot on! Wifi is great for online meetings. Not affected by loadshedding - only minor down time while switch over to back up power sources. Negatives: Rooms are not sound proof so I suggest booking a room furthest from reception if this is important to you otherwise you will hear people coming and going. Late check out cannot be requested on check-in. I had to check with reception at 7am on check-out day but they did allow it for 12pm.

This started as a 5 star experience but sadly went downhill quickly. We stayed 2 nights, the first night we found the bar/restaurant staff to be excellent, informed, enthusiastic and helpful. The drinks were personal and the recommendations informed. By the end of the 2 night visit however the negative began to significantly bare down on the good. A pool that had not been cleaned and wasn’t cleaned during our stay. A laundry delivery at nearly 11pm our first night, completely unnecessary as it wasn’t urgent. Our second dinner where both meals only had 2/3rds of the items in the description (missing onion rings, potato wedges and broccolini) The bill for our second dinner being under charged, resulting in a call at 10:30 that night asking for an extra $200 Rand. Something that could have been sorted out at a more reasonable time, which is what we eventually did, paying it on top of our breakfast bill. Ultimately the system of constantly charging and being paid upfront for things rather than just putting them to your room number felt very second class. Phone calls to the reception that got transferred to dead lines. And finally the receptions inability to even call us a taxi as their system was down. As a foreigner in the country I shouldn’t be in a better position to arrange transport than a concierge Nice rooms though.

Currently staying here for a week at this hotel, The hotel rooms are really beautiful and the environment is serene. The spa offers the best treatment. However the service from the receptionists doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I ordered a bottle of water, waited 45 minutes and it wasn’t delivered. Called again, waited another 45 minutes still nothing. Third time around, someone then delivered 2 bottles of water. Staying here is great provided you don’t need anything from reception. Management needs to sort this out because it just puts a damper in the whole experience of staying here. 5 star for the rooms 5 star for the spa 1 star for the reception overall service

You can only rate up to 5 Stars but SEVEN was correct with their name. I had the pleasure of eating at their restaurant where Chef Rithan and staff prepared a delicious 4 course meal for us and Charl picked beautiful wines to pair off with each meal. The experience and gorgeous atmosphere, not to mention impeccable service encouraged me to go back. This time Darian took us on a fun wine (and shockingly exciting rum) taste paired with an exquisite menu again from the Chef and staff that included cooking our own meat on hot coal!! Showmanship, brilliance, quality and excellence is what comes to mind when I think of Seven Villa Hotel & Spa. Everyone from porters, reception, waiters and management greet with a smile and make sure you're well looked after. Thank you guys for the experience! I look forward to coming back.

Beautiful hotel. Really friendly and efficient staff. The only issue I had was that the food was average, abit disappointing for 5 star, therefore rating it a 4 star. The shrimp pasta was slightly undercooked. Baked cheesecake was not great, abit too dry for me. And the decaf coffee was definitely not decaf, confirmed by a sleepless night. No issues with the chicken burger and creme Brulee. We ordered in room service for dinner, it took longer than the 15 - 20 mins advised, the BBQ wings did not come with the blue cheese dip as on the menu but rather with tomato sauce.

Booked one of the jacuzzi villas as a surprise for my sister. Paid extra for a birthday set up (balloons, petals, champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries) and even more than the standard 950 because I wanted more than the 3 balloons they had in their sample images. On 3 occasions (well in advance) asked that I be shown pictures of the set up before she arrives, only to be told on my 3rd try that they are “too busy” to entertain my request. There was no champagne, no strawberries, only a few extra red and white balloons (for what seemed to be the basic romantic and not a birthday set up) and worst of all they told her that use of the jacuzzi in her room was only free on the first day - something I was never told. Would not recommend, very disappointing.
Used the site for business strategy session Of the 4 venues (from whatbwas visible), 2 bigger and 2 board rooms, we used one of the bigger rooms. The setup was very nicely done, it was a shame that the projector system was hit by lightning recently and caused some issues, but nothing too hectic. The restaurant has a nice look and feel as it served us 3 course meals during our stay. 5 Star Sandton hotel - so its obviously quite pricey. Can recommend for business use. Helpful staff on the day.

Nice hotel, but far from five star. Bugs in room, sheets had stains on. Pool was constantly dirty with fallen petals and pool towels stained with yellow. Staff incredibly nice and helpful - they are attentive and happy to go above and beyond. Breakfast nice but again not five star. Enough to choose from but not incredible (would love some veggies/ salad and some nice bread - they just had bread from the packet). Also no natural teas (they had caffeinated only), and one day they had no Decaf coffee options. I would stay again, but it certainly is not a five star hotel.

Quaint boutique hotel in Sandton that used to be the Capital Moloko. Perfect for when you need to unplug & reset without going out of town! A real hideaway spot. The villas each have a private jacuzzi on the balcony and the Camelot spa in-house. Beautiful sculptures everywhere are their signature look & feel. Service is fairly good & seamless, their desserts are to die for. Do try their yummy cheese cake. Their extensive SA wine list is a plus.

The place itself is visually stunning. I visited the restaurant. Out of a table of 7, no one was happy with the food. Service is exceptionally slow. People that arrived after we had ordered sat down to eat and left before we got our food. The waiting time for anything, even a drink is just way too long. Improvements need to be made on service and the quality of food served. At those prices, one would expect to be blown away. Unfortunately, the food was a big letdown. Great job on the decor though.

I can not speak highly enough about my stay at this hotel. The staff are incredibly helpful, hospitable, attentive and kind. The rooms were perfect, the garden was beautiful and the location is close to everything in the city. My sister and I also enjoyed our time at the spa. I unfortunately got sick during my stay, and for clarity it was not because of anything at the hotel, and the staff helped me get to a doctor and made sure I was okay. It was incredible service. You will not be disappointed staying here.

Centrally located with professional and friendly service. The decor is interesting and the rooms clean and functional. The rates are slightly high but the hotel has a boutique feeling to it with a slightly upmarket sophistication to it... Unfortunately the restaurant food was bland and ordinary and quiet honestly for the price we were charged I was expecting alot more from the restaurant. We were so unhappy we just skipped breakfast the next morning.

What a disappointment! I think the hotel needs to be a 3-star as this is far from being a 5-star. The customer service is poor. I think the staff needs to go back for training from receptionist, waiters and in-room dining. It’s actually false advertising for such a good location. The rooms are substandard and not well cleaned with stained sheets. I don’t even want to mention the food. The experience was really terrible!

I stayed at the hotel in April and had a wonderful time in the ground floor villa which comes with a designated parking spot and a jacuzzi. The room is spacious, well-decorated and comes with some great amenities. The spa also looks and smells great. I highly recommend the 60-minute full body massage with an added hot-stone treatment. Textures restaurant is a cool dinner spot to try out with decent food and some very friendly servers on staff.

We had a meal there and a waitress gave the african people at the restaurant much better service than to us. You could feel the racism of Sibenzile and because of her we will never go back again. They need to give these people diversity training because at this day and age feeling this racism is unacceptable. The food was substandard and this is not a 5 star hotel due to the poor service and horrible food.

Tremendously friendly welcome on arrival, staff try very hard to put you at ease. Room (grand suite with king bed) was large and has many options such as a large TV with Netflix and Youtube function, nice bathroom with bathtub and shower, the bed was very soft and meets all expectations. There was a small problem with hot water, this was solved immediately by the staff, and this of course with a big smile
The place is amazing and the service beyond one's wildest expectations. The only major issue is that the entrance is also used as the exit and that is a problem seeing that it is facing the road coming from the busy Grayson Drive. Beyond that, I enjoyed every bit of my stay.

The hotel is beautiful, the amenities outstanding. The garden is serene and beautiful. You feel like you are away from the city. The staff is friendly and patient. Patience at reservation is so patient and welcoming all the time. The food is devine. We are having a great time. Oh you get a welcome drink of your choice on arrival.
For the quality of food, atmosphere and the overall experience Seven Villas are worth every cent. We booked a meeting room package there. The food was outstanding and there was a constant flow of coffee, snacks and most importantly excellent service. Blessing was looking after us and he was fantastic. Please give him a raise!
I had a wonderful stay here!!! Took my guy here to celebrate his bday. It was a total surprise. The location is phenomenal and staff were nice and sensitive to the dietary needs I requested. The spa there is soooo tranquil. I'm definitely coming back! I do have other photos of the grounds but hey...the food was good!
