I had an experience where my car was damaged while parked, the other driver was also with GIO, he then put in a claim and the service from GIO was outstanding! They organised a rental car at their expense and my car was repaired within the time frame as promised with a flawless repair.
Cancelled my car insurance after very poor customer service from call centre staff on multiple occasions. They sent me a cancellation letter to confirm which made it appear they cancelled my policy by their choice not mine...... still waiting for the refund of the remainder.
Have owners corp insurance for several properties and no problems at all - phone response is fast and comprehensive with checking done by supervisor - all without delay or long waits. Policy cost is competitive too. I would and do recommend them.

Make it absolutely impossible to get anyone on the phone. Expect hour+ wait time to connect with someone, and if you get cut off for any reason no one will bother to call you back...horrendous service delivery!
