We will return, food was very good. Ordered 3 dishes from Chef’s recommendation (duck pancakes, honey mustard prawns and shredded beef Peking style) and two others. Enjoyed all. Manager and staff were nice and friendly, I do try to engage for some level of rapport and they responded. Manager checked on us a few times. Restaurant almost full with diners from 6-8pm. Empty though as we left, Menulog driver busy however. BYO wine. Decor minimalist- felt like they hadn’t quite finished moving in - but that’s possibly just me and the feeling I get from a painted concrete floor, maybe as you enter at the top of the red concrete staircase in need of a touch up, to the upper floor, it could have been the slight disorder around the kitchen door as it looked to be some chairs hiding a freezer - which may only be temporary? As you turn to go the tables, the gold and red tablecloths are nice. We sat by the windows, which I was facing as my partner checked out kitchen activity with his view. I wouldn’t go there for the aesthetics personally, but for the food - yes. We will dine-in again I am sure as found a new favourite prawn dish to enjoy

Our local Chinese restaurant in Terrey Hills closed so we had to find a new restaurant. We came across the Golden Unicorn and we have been pleasantly surprised! Food is great, service is very friendly and they still have deep fried ice cream on the menu! Haven’t had that for over 20 years. The spring rolls were the best we have ever had. Anyway, whether you want to eat in or take away, we can highly recommend this business!

the best part is.... the food is very good value for money and great flavour. However a very basic interior.. obviously the money is in delivery and not dine in... the phone didn't stop ringing. Service to the table was rushed as the server had to answer phones and give the takeout as well to customers who came to collect. We were a table of 4 and asked to place entrees first and order mains later.. told no..kitchen too busy must order now.. When asking questions about the menu and dishes a very brief and intimidating response given making it too awkward to ask for clarification.. Accept who they are and what they offer.. it's my third time there due to good food at good value..

We used to go to this restaurant a lot when it was owned by its previous owner, Sophie. Having been out of the area for a number of years, we hadn't been back for a long time, until tonight. The food was somewhat different to what we remember, which one would expect given the change in ownership and in the kitchen. However, the dishes that we ordered were generally quite tasty, particularly the Sang Choi Bow. The service was friendly. We went on a Saturday night. There were several tables still available, but there were a reasonable number of customers dining in and for takeaway.

Surprise, surprise - fantastic food and service ! We have ordered Combination chowmein and Tofu & vegies - both were quite tasty without being salty. Service was quite attentive and the place was clean in a small restaurant. They also gave fortune cookies at the end which was a pleasant surprise for a happy ending. Looking at many bad reviews below, I found most are related to Uber eats - which could mean, come to the restaurant and enjoy !!!

Ordered a satay chicken off Uber eats, specifically asked for no onions if possible as I do not like them - after 2 and a half hours of waiting for my food, I open it for it to be completely full of onions and only a few pieces of chicken. I’ve ordered from this place a few times and it has never been this slow or poor quality - pretty disappointing and I will not be reordering, but from reading the other similar ratings of this place it seems like they probably won’t care anyway.

The food is actually good. The younger staff quite friendly and helpful, although the older man who seems to be the manager is quite rude, abrasive and seemingly annoyed that we were in his establishment. I'd give it a miss if you want a pleasant dine in experience. Take away or delivery might be a better option.
