Would've had a overall good experience, unfortunately I was not pleased with the safety and health standards demonstrated by one of the butchers as he was handling the meat in the deli in a very unhygienic manner. Not only that but he was also extremely rude and demonstrated no customer service etiquette.
Not a bad Italian Grocery store. Found staff to be unhelpful and just seem to be uninterested in new customers. I could see their interaction with the regulars however I felt uncomfortable. Prices for some items very expensive but also some good daily deals for everyday items..
A sheer delight shopping there. They have a large range of continental groceries at a reasonable price, (that are difficult to find elsewhere) and are well stocked. I always look forward to my visits to this store. I often visualize recipes as I walk trough the aisles.
overall experience was great, but completely tarnished by the butcher, his name is joe and he was extremely rude to my mother and me. when he was serving us, he wasn’t wearing gloves, which really put us off buying from the butcher again. deli girls were 10/10 though.
Generally a good experience since now they are fully stock. Staff generally very polite except for one lady. She’s very skinny. Don’t know her name. She completely ignores you when you say excuse me do you have such and such. She doesn’t even acknowledge you.
Normally a fantastic shopping experience for people who have a need for more than what the 2 bigger grocery stores supply. Unfortunately their stock has declined to the point where they are not able to provide the more European style shoppers what they want.
good plenty of Italian groceries but is overprice considering competition and Costco nearby posing a threat. supers in the area have upgraded so the only thing that saves them is Italian language I know it but it does not coerce me in buying there now.
Living in Cairns now, so when visiting family, Santino is where I stock up on pastina, sgrassatore, espresso cups, and citrato (things you can't get in Cairns obviously). All the Italian products you need from pastas to cold cuts, cleaning
I went into Santino this morning and was looking for a vinegar my mother in law had recommended and sent me a photo of. I was looking at the picture on my phone and trying to locate it on the shelf. No luck so I proceeded to get the item I
This is the real traditional Italian supermarket in Melbourne northern suburbs and a landmark for all those good food lovers, due to its big variety of Italian and Mediterranean goods! Also, quality of products and prices are excellent and
This place has some real good buys. Deli has a great range /selection of products. Extensive selection of cheeses and fresh pasta is a bonus . The butcher and seafood munger makes it easy, one stop shop if in a hurry to shop around. Staff
Friendly people who continuously make a great effort to make you feel welcome and I must admit, I refuse to go to any other coorporate supermarket. The warm feeling of having people serve you with a real smile at the counter that similar
I've always walk past this shop around lalor shops and I've heard some good thing and thought I would give it a try. However I was met with extreme disappointment, due to an encounter the butcher working around 1pm on Tuesday. He had a
I am really impressed with the service I received from Gran Monte staff, from the ladies at the delicatessen and the happy smiles at the front counter. It has definitely changed, and this will be my one stop Shop for all my
Check expiry dates for products. These guys seem to be lacking quality control. My mistake for not checking. Two of the cheeses and the burgers I got from the shelf had expired. My sister had the same problem.
Unfortunately this place, while having so much potential, refuses to pay its employees a just wage. When an employee merely asked for the award rate the management simply refused to give her any more shifts.
All part of the great and varied experience of Lalor shopping strip. Good range of products with a strong European bias. Great meat selection and specials and what a world of cheeses and small goods.
Fresh produce and really friendly and helpful advice from the butcher. He made our first time salami making a stress free and enjoyable experience. Will have to purchase 20kgs next year. Thank you
Thought I share my experience for the first time shopping here and said to myself I give this business a go. I must say their well overpriced on the meat and and chicken as well as other
They have a large deli with lots of ham and salami. they sell some bread and pastries, cheese, milk, pasta and more things. I go here a lot to get food for lunch on the weekends.
The butcher Joe was disgusting, very unhygienic and rude. Asked for help and when he handled my produce did not clean his hands from his prior task and left residue on it.
OMG grab a trolley because you're going to want everything. Fresh pasta, deli, meat, fish, Italian cakes & biscuits & so much more. Do yourselves a favour & get down there.
Santino's Delicatessen in Lalor, Victoria, has a very good range of Italian related products, along with a great selection of Cheese, cured Meats and a quality Butcher.
Yes. Fennel sausages fresh meat delicatessen groceries imported Italian They have it all. Every time I shop here I feel like I'm treating myself
Friendly staff top quality deil and fresh meat a lot of the imported goods are a bit short at the moment because of transport problems
Lovely Italian deli, plenty of products to chose from. Prices are reasonable. Love the butcher there as well.
Hardly any stock products are no longer available disappointing to see it used to be so popular
Totally changed. Sign says under new management. Not the same feel that it had before.
Lovely shop for quality products
