First time there, booked for two, no one greeted us. Head staff saw us standing there yet ignored us and continued to talk amongst themselves. When we finally got their attention they seemed vague about our booking and struggled to find it then we were told if we didn’t have tickets for the band ( which we knew nothing about when we booked ) we would have to leave straight after we have eaten, or purchase tickets . In the same breath we were told the venue was booked at full capacity. Next time there is a band make potential patrons aware at the time of booking if they don’t purchase tickets then they will need to leave straight after they have finished their meal. Also let people know that there is limited seating . The only tables available were outside in the freezing cold or 3 tiny tables right near the back door where it was very cold. Why not tell us this at the time of booking?? We called an Uber straight away. Could not get out of there fast enough. Will never go back . P.s. What made it even more frustrating is on the Friday i rang a HABA mobile number I found on google to ask if there was going to be music on the night we booked (Saturday) and the guy on the phone said there are bands playing and tickets are $30 dollars. I said hold on we have booked to eat there and no one told us it was a band night and that we would need tickets. He was very nice and said you will be fine just stay on after your meal , you won’t need tickets . I asked his name in case there are any issues , he said ‘ Dave’ and promised there would not be any issues . Anyway we told the girls this and they said we dont know anyone named Dave who works here. I showed her the number from my call log and again she acted vague and was adamant that she didn’t know a ‘Dave’. A few minutes later i called that number , we heard it ring behind the bar and she answered it ! Wow , busted blatantly lying to us

I recently had the pleasure of spending a quiet evening with my furry friend at this fantastic bar. From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with warm smiles and open arms by the incredibly accommodating staff. They went out of their way to make sure our pup had water, treats, and a cozy spot to rest while we enjoyed some of the best food and drinks around. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with dim lighting and a comfortable ambiance that made us feel right at home. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and offered their expert recommendations, which were delicious and perfectly paired with our drinks. Overall, I cannot recommend this bar enough. If you're looking for a relaxing evening with great company and even better food and drinks, this is the place to go. And if you happen to have a furry companion, this pub will truly go above and beyond to make you both feel welcome and at ease. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful evening that we will never forget!

Have attended two ticketed gigs here, the second one last night. We were firstly met with rudeness when we arrived half hour before start time and sent away. Previouslyit was open per the advertised times on saturday eg from 12noon. Both times the choice of drinks was a major issue. The first night they ran out of all beer choices by half way through the night leaving only choice cans of Melbourne bitter. Last night there was no tap beer at all and they ran out of the only bottle beer an hour after we arrived despite the venue only being partly filled with people. Its almost as though they use these nights to use up their stock. Floor was sticky and tacky. Its a shame as they have good bands and the potential to be a great venue. But as a local I am unlikely to be back while it is being managed this way.

Absolutely hideous and so disappointing. This bar has so much potential the fit out is stunning. Sadly it is poorly managed by young and inexperienced staff. Music and amateur DJ’s were terrible, audio was too loud and distorted the songs poorly mixed. Staff were lazy and there was no service at all even though there were more staff than patrons! Security completely ignoring several intoxicated people inside and just standing out the front, patrons were screaming and staggering through the place. Dance floor covered in toilet paper!!! Female staff member was spraying post mix at patrons and went all over my friend and I. Full of feral people. Toilet door had no lock on it, door got stuck and had to pry my way out. No hand wash. As a local I was really looking forward to going there, I won’t be going back.

Our neighbours my wife and myself went to see a band last night and we left after 1hr. The band was great however, the management and the quality of drinks was not. I suppose if you used to drinking a vodka lime and soda in a plastic cup with cheap vodka and flat soda! It’s your place! Very disappointed and this venue could be a fantastic setup with the right management.

Pros: - I see what you did with the name. I like it - location is great - people are genuinely nice - bus stop is close for easy access and escape Cons - ridiculous $10 entry which is unwarranted. $10 entry starts an arbitrary time that is made up when the line get long - discriminative bouncers towards boys - long lines at the bar - music was better when Baha had live music - $10 entry won’t get you any toilet paper in the toilet

We booked a table for a dinner for a hens weekend. Then they called us up in the afternoon of the dinner booking and told us we would need to pay 30 dollars entry to have dinner there because there was a band playing there. This meant that we then had to spend time trying to secure another venue, when we should have been relaxing and enjoying the hens weekend

My associates and I had an excellent evening sticking our fingers inside the Thursday night trivia pie. The staff were extremely friendly and provided us with delicious beverages. The trivia was a great length and featured a splendid mix of questions and activities. If I could give the venue 5 stars, I would.

Awesome location with very well organised events. They often have highlight artists come to play and the food is quite good too. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful.

Couldn't have been more impressed with the newest addition to Rye. Hospitable staff, wide variety of beers on tap, beautiful beer garden and dog friendly! Definitely going to be the new local. Can't wait to try the food. Well done guys :)

I wish I could rate lower. FOOD WAS DISGUSTING! Only 3 burgers on the menu and they somehow managed to screw that up. Beer was also not good. No option for cocktails. Very very disappointed.

This place is rad. Small intimate spot for a gig, alcohol prices are okay (bit expensive but not crazy) and the staff contribute to the great atmosphere. Will definitely come back down next time I am in Rye!

Had a large Saturday night at Haba. All staff are extremely polite and genuine people. Great service. Was also happy to see that this venue is wheelchair accessible so I could roll right in.

I ended up in hospital after attending this venue with a suspected spiking incident, however it is not the facilities fault and HABA has given me adequate help to get to the bottom of this

Saw a band here. Staff were friendly and drinks were good value for money. The bartender that served me made a really nice lemon lime and bitters.
