I can easily say that it is one of the most beautiful libraries I have ever seen. First of all, the modern structure of the building amazes you at first sight. It seems that one or more valuable architects and engineers have put a lot of effort here. In such structures, the application adds value to the building as much as the project is important. and craftsmanship is really valuable. The class of materials and craftsmanship have turned into art here. You feel the comfort and quality at the first entrance. The meeting rooms are very nice. Each side is detailed like a glass bell. It is a completely open air study area. There is a section reserved for children, which is very well organized for both reading and evaluating their time. The bookshelves are just as organized. I think the number of books will need to be increased a little more. Still, the books are very well sorted. There are separate films and music CDs. There is a very bright environment. An environment is prepared for people to work in without disturbing anyone and without distraction. There are electric charging units on the desks and tables in the big hall. So you can charge your computer or your phone. I saw meeting rooms for small groups. Believe me, you should come.

Beautiful building but a total waste of Hamiltonian’s taxpayers dollars! This land should have been sold off and the funds used to build a multi-purposed building by or with the hockey arena that accommodated municipal offices, library, community center, multi-sportsplex including a swimming pool, indoor turf, and running track. City of Hamilton never thinks more than 5 minutes into the future. Plan people! Look at growth projections and actually take the time to plan for it instead of just slamming in projects so counselors can boast about how great they are and do photo ops!!!

We love our local library branch. Bright, airy, spacious, lovely sightlines, stacks full of wonderful books and books on CD and DVDs and CDs and more, and anything we don't find on the spot, we know we can search and place a hold online at hpl.ca. Lots of great programmes (in the happy Before Time when there were programmes - we look forward to whenever things open up again and programmes return to the library!), lovely seating area where you can curl up and read or knit or just gaze out the window. Kind and friendly staff always happy to help with inquiries. ♥️

Nice multi purpose building. I could see a seniors activity centre running a well attended program. The library itself is well laid out . Material is housed alphabetically. Large print and children section is decent. Owing to the library being on the smaller side material is not marked subject wise. That is something I found a little challenging.

So poor with service ...i went today around 930 am . The man at the front desk didn,t treat me well. I had a question to ask regarding library time - he didnt want to listen to my question and asked me to leave the building. I was surprised with his behaviour. We don't expect this kind of rude behave from a public service people.

The Waterdown Public Library is a great place to bring children. It is so much more than books. Today there was a train table, a Lego table, a play fruit stand, puzzles and so much more. There were lots of young children in the children's section enjoying all the great play activities.

I love this library. Its a beautiful branch and the staff is wonderfully accommodating. Only thing I wish they did different when constructing this location was create more study rooms. The 2 study rooms they do have are perfect as they seat 1-4 people but they are ALWAYS in use.

Great local library with very friendly staff. It's a small library but convenient for residents in the community. Connected to the larger Hamilton library network so you can request books that aren't in stock. And the children's area is an adorable spot for families to interact.

I love how the design lets tons of light in but putting the daycare right in the middle of the library makes it constantly loud in here. This is less like a library and more of a recreation center with books in it. Don't expect to be getting work done here.

  • Meaghan S

Love the study rooms with the floor to ceiling windows but they’re very hard to get, since they’re so popular. A very clean and organized library for the most part. Wish they had a public printer though, like some of the other Hamilton Public Libraries.

First visit. Beautiful bright space. We visited the Children's space, which has size for workshops, kids computers and a decent-sized kids collection. Pleasant & helpful staff. We libraries and this branch is another jewel in the City of Hamilton!

Every time I come here to do work, one of the staff members has an issue with something I do. It's like they are bored and want to get on someone's case. Ya'll are not the police, it's like they are on a power trip. Leave people alone in a

Bright, clean and inviting. Plenty of space (desks), computers (WiFi) and reading material but too noisy. What happened to libraries being quiet?! The kid's/teenager's/senior's groups should have a contained and separate space from those

Love this library! Very spacious, modern interior and bright lighting makes it for city's one of the best library! Study rooms, ports everywhere, full of work spaces makes for an awesome office (for the day)!

  • Royce Kim

A nice and quiet place to read or study, the staff are polite and helpful and it’s a great place just to relax and read a book. Usually clean, would recommend if you are in the rough vicinity of Waterdown.

  • Patrick Kovacs

Great place to bring the kids. Lots of places to sit and read. Good WiFi. Unfortunately like all libraries these days, the # of books for adult readers available seems to be getting smaller and smaller.

  • Heather Howell

Love that it has extended Sunday and study hours. I have a type of job where I use library resources and printing services on a regular basis. I am so grateful to have such a good library system .

  • Severina M

Very clean, bright, and airy. Tons of desk space with outlets for plugging in. Staff are nice and friendly. Usually I'm just in and out but I hope eventually to spend more time there.
