Store seems uncoordinated and all over the place, not neat and tidy, customer service only good if they think you have money and gonna buy something, overall opinion wasn't a good experience as I couldn't find wat I was lookin for and neither did the staff, certian stuff for sale has been opened by other people and still chargin full price, wouldn't and won't but something that has been opened, staff don't help or are helpful, check out chicks are good and friendly which is good, overall opinion need improvements within store and organization and organizing varices product and things for sale, need to better staff with good friendly customer service, wont be shoppin here no more, was my first and last time and experience of shoppin here, I'd rather go to Myers or David Jones yeah, my honest opinion I'd rate this store would be 2 stars and 3/10...... Hope who ever reads this finds my first experience here helpful....

Very disappointed with Harris Scarf Chermside. Today I rang in to check if they had any 30L cubic pedal bins that I saw online for $59.97 #539502003 and over the phone two different staff members confirmed that they did have this exact item (as I gave them the code) for $59.97 and they would put it aside. I arrived at the store 30minutes later just for this item and was told it’s the same brand but an upgraded model and the cheapest price I could get it for was $97. I told them no I just rang and you put it aside for the agreed price of 59.97. They told me this could not be done so I left without purchasing it. Not good enough! It should have been given to me at the agreed price or I would not have gone out of my way to collect it.

We to Harris Scarfe on the 27th about 12 30pm 1 check open. The shop assistant was busy serving her custom who had lots of plates and dishes each one had to be wrapped in tissue paper. I asked if we had to wait for all the plates to be wrapped. I explained we had a bus to catch if we missed it we had to wait 1 hour. Thinking she may have called for help as we had been waiting for a while. No way, the kind lady said she did not mind if she served us, we spent over $100 and caught our bus no thanks to the shop assistant who realy did not want to serve us. Our Thanks to the kind lady we did allow plenty of time to catch our bus but did not thinking only 1 check open with no back up.

Ordered some stuff online that arrive so badly packed that a number of items were broken. I called the Chermside Harris Scarfe to ask what I could do, and couldn't have received a more helpful staff member when Paola answered! When I came into the store a couple of days later to exchange the damaged items, Paola remembered my call and had clearly briefed the store manager, Scott. They were both so amazing and so, so helpful even though it wasn't their fault that another store can't pack things properly. Thanks again Paola & Scott - easily the best customer service I've received in a very long time. I won't bother online any more and just come straight to you in the future!

I was after a white Van Heusen shirt for my daughter's wedding. HS Carindale didn't have what I was after. Came to Harrie Scarfe, Chermside in the hope of being suited. Well I can't speak highly enough of Michelle from Menswear who knew her stock, and found a couple of alternatives for me to try on. This lady knew her product, and gave professional advice and her opinion with respect to fit and suitability. Great old fashioned service....very rare these days. This review is not a reflection on the store but a staff member who the other day was at Dan Murphys. On the floor at the checkout are two rows of standing circles, for two queues for two registers. She stood to the right/off centre, so I stood in the left. When I did that I saw her rudely roll her eyes at me and when the register in front of me opened, in my queue, she abruptly jumped in front. Disgusting, as I left, I sternly told her never to roll her eyes at me again. There's no way I'd ever go to Harris Scarfe now, knowing this is how the service is and that she'll be there.

Lots of Bedding, Kitchen accessories, and more to make your house a home. As well as the latest womens and mens fashion, underwear, business wear, shoes and sports clothing. And Lots of brands such as Linen House, Circulon, Tefal, Maxwell & Williams, Tontine, Bonds, Berlei, Adidas and Puma. Even ‘Simply Vera Vera Wang’ fashion and homewares collection. A large retailer with many amazing offers and discounts.

I wanted to purchase a kettle just before Christmas. It was $29.95 but the stock was all sold out apart from the display item. A staff member put all my details into a book for a call back when the product came back in store and would sell it for the same price. 4 months later the product was on the shelf and for $65 "on sale" from $99.95. We didn't get a phone call or anything for 4+ months even though we went with no kettle and was told that we would have to pay current sale price for it. Waste of time for promises made by staff members who cannot deliver.

Their return policy in this store is the worst we have ever experienced, they make you feel like its all your fault that the product broke down, they tell you all the conditions that avoids the warranty that was never ever mentioned before and they're very rude in the manner they do all this. Ironically another HS store refunded it no questions asked with a smile and an apology, which proves this store has serious issues in their policy, customer service and possibly they're racial profiling warranty claims which is shocking these days.

Shark Navigator Liftaway vacuum - HS price $440, Target Big W price $400 Heart shaped bohemia crystal box, HS price $60 discounted to $20. You can find it on the net (australian stores) for $35 discounted to $25. I bought an iron here at a 'Heavily' discounted price on to find later that Big W were selling the same iron at that same price normally. I'm not saying this applies to all HS merchandise but don't believe all the blurb about 60% off this and that. It may just be that it was 60% more expensive in the first place.

My wife and I bought a dinner set while it had 4 missing items with one cracked plate. Sadly, the receipt was in my pocket when my wife put my cloths in the laundry. On Christmas day we opened the box and found the issue. And we were so upset that our lovely dinner set that she loved it so much had 5 items missing. Thanks to LOVELY STAFF AT HARRIS SCARFE for recovering our receipt and replaced missing items. We really appreciated it and loved your customer service. SEE YOU DEFINITELY AGAIN SOOOON

They won't accept returns on bedding due to hygiene reasons even if the item has not been taken out of the sealed packaging. Because thats what we all do, buy bedding, take it home, make the bed sleep in it for a few nights, take it all off and meticulously fold it all back into the plastic bags so it looks unused and take it back to the store for a replacement. I ended up going to another store and spending $200 on a quilt cover and sheets that doesn't have the same stupid policy with better customer support.

Great prices however some of the rudest customer service Ive ever had. Wouldn't even call it service given that they did absolutely nothing to help even though the store was quiet. Made quite a large purchase and as the store doesn't have any trolleys I asked if I could quickly leave my things to run and get a trolley (this is after I had 3 staff members stare at me as I struggled to get to the counter). The girl rolled her eyes and gave me a very blunt 'no'. I work in retail and that's just not good enough.

If I could give this dump of a store a minus star I would...went there with the intention of buying some Mitch Dowed under pants (a bit under $12 a pair) main problem was I wanted XXlarge. In the entire range there was only 3 or 4 in that size. When we got to the check out we discovered that none of what we intended to purchase was under $12 (all being $18).Will never go there again...

Love shopping here, specially when they reduced their product pricing down. I usually spend hours to get the stuff that I wanted. They had quality products and easy to find things. The only downside of this shop is lack of chairs to sit when your trying some shoes. Would be nice to add even 1 chair in every isles. They allocated only 1 chair for these women shoes section.

I came here on 31 May around 4pm and the staff were both rude and unhelpful. One member was too busy talking to move out of the way from the entrance to the checkouts (while I was pushing a pram and holding items I wanted to buy) and the cashier was rude, took a phone call as I got to the desk and made the minimum effort possible.

Easy to find in Westfield Chermside, near Best a Less. Has a large range of clothing, footwear, linen, electrical appliances, saucepans a frypans, crockery glassware and cutlery. Loved the crockery as it is different to what is found in other large stores . Good prices and friendly helpful service.. Would recommend a visit .

They take forever to answer the phone if they do at all and will put you on never ending hold. No one ever asks if they can help and always seem short staffed when shopping in store. If it wasn't for the wide variety of products I would never shop in there. I have been going in for years and it has not changed!!

No one was there to help and I did not get what I wanted and finally when I saw one staff, I showed him the product on phone, he said sorry we may not have it, you buy it online. He did not even bothered to check the stock at the store. They really don't care about customers and business they are getting.

Had a poor shopping experience. Staff were not very friendly and rush you through the tills even if nobody is behind you. Some staff members don't look at you whilst you ask them a question about products whilst they clean/pack things. Good products however the customer service is not good.

Can I just say a thank you to the gentleman that worked there who saw I had clearly bought more than I could carry and went and got me a trolly. Very helpful staff and I always stop into HS when after any homewares and cookware because their prices are competitive and their rage is great.

I can see why they went into administration and taken over. Similar experience to Myer... No customer service. If a customer is standing there waiting to pay, and three of you can't be stuffed, then quit. Let someone else who is keen to work take your job if you're too good for it.

I don't mind paying a reasonable price for quality items, especially kitchen related but when an item is obviously heavily marked up its annoying. I know it's hard sourcing overseas manufactured goods but alternatives don't need to be 3 times the price. Somebody is gouging....

Overpriced. Purchased items that were damaged and not packed in the box appropriately after obviously being display items after being told they weren't. They refunded the item which was good. Suggest to anyone to to check the box before leaving the store.

Large department store selling everything from kitchenware to clothing. Frequently have sales with great discounts. I see this place as an alternative to places like DJ's and Myer. Just not as upscale clothing, etc.

Well set out. Was able to find everything i needed. However 3 customers waiting to be served while a couple of employees were joking around between themselves behind the counter. Not a good look.

First time visiting this store. Located inside Westfield Chermside shopping centre. Not a bad store at all, very similar to TKMaxx, with some slight differences to stock and amount of stock.

Finally found what I wanted after scouring 8 shops! The lady in the bath mats and towels section was so helpful and even went out back to see if my colour was there. I am so grateful to her.

A relatively small department store. Excellent quality sheets, good range of kitchen utensils and small appliances, well-priced quality underwear. A small range of outer clothes.

They have a good variety of fashionable stock, but we could only find one long sleeve collared top suitable for my mother-in-law, & even then will have to add a higher button.
