I love, love this local park! It’s not too crowded to jog in. Their paths, stairs and bridge make this park unique and a joy to visit. Nog to mention the view of our beautiful city!! I also like their tennis courts. They have 4 (or 5), and although it’s seldom they they are unoccupied, 3/5 times were able to catch a game after 5 pm.
Great place to relax and get a bit of nature in the city. The slow walk up the hill (or the informal shortcut on the east side) leads to impressive views on the city skyline. The park also features a great reservoir stocked with fish on the west side. Good way to spend 20-40 minutes and it's free.
This is one of my favorite parks i like to go. There's like a mountain were you can relax and has a really beautiful view towards the towers. I really reccommend there its a really nice place to hang around with and relax. It has a little lake and it has trails where you could walk in.
Great little gem right in the city. Easy street parking leads you to a park with tons of local plants and flowers and walkways that lead down into an abandoned quarry that is a fishing spot. On the other side of the park, you get fantastic views of the city skyline. Well recommended!
A beautiful park with some of the best views of the city. Perfect for a picnic at sunset, catch n' release fishing, or pleasant stroll. With hassle-free parking and close proximity to shops, it is a great place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
Beautiful park with great views. Although it is more of a walking park it still has a park for the children across the street as well as basketball rims. It is also great if you are a runner or work out. It offers stairs, inclines, and declines.
This park is a must visit. It takes you for a short detour from the busy life with a great view. There is a small hill top, a trail experience, a lake and a small stone statue… it’s an amazing place for a picnic, fishing, walking, yoga! No
Great Park. In the place of an old quarry and it's been done excellently. There's a decent sized hill for Chicago which is great for running up, sledding down, or relaxing on while taking in views of downtown. The prairie environment that
I love this park. It's beautiful, relaxing and you can fish, but you must throw back in. Please don't feed the animals bread. It is not healthy for them. Sometimes the water gets yucky do to the hot weather, but overall I love it.
Beautiful park! With excitement layered views of wildflowers, city and a small lake pond with nature all around dragonflies birds ducks and walkways that take you out and over the water beautiful rock seating area and overviews.
Went for a walk with my family, beautiful nature oasis in the middle of a busy city. The views were great. Activities for all ages: hiking, biking, rock climbing, exercise bars, sledding, fishing, playground across the street
This is one of my favorite parks in Chicago. Go before lunch to really feel the natural beauty with less people. In early fall the wild flowers are looking so amazing! Also a great place to walk, run and meditate …
I love it. It's so nice to go walking here in the early morning or late evening. The breeze always seems to hit the park just right and even though there's always people, it some how always feels calm and serene.
Great park offering catch and release fishing, a North Face Rock Climbing installation and walking paths with wheelchair and stroller accessibility. Playground, basketball court and more just across the street.
Great nature sanctuary in Bridgeport, with plenty of trails, wildlife viewing, and views of the skyline! Highly recommend for a nice walk if you are in the area. Parking nearby is free and easy to find.
What a gem. This is a lovely serene spot in the city. Fishing, running, waking, and views of the skyline. There are spots in the small park that make you forget you're in the city. Beautiful.
Hands-down the best park in the city. It’s perfect for an evening or early morning picnic as it overlooks the skyline. Gorgeous natural grasses and a cute little quarry pond complete it.
Lots of areas to walk around. Good view of the city skyline. You can get very close to the water. Signs posted no dogs allowed. One dog after another was brought in by owner.
This is a nice park in the Bridgeport area. There are plenty of places to explore and a variety of species of birds and fish around. I even spotted a red-eared slider.
Lot of grass area for picnic, cool water reservoir to take in and fish at. A walking only nature area, not meant for bikes. Good views of the skyline as well
A unique Chicago jewel. Unlike any other city park. The envy of the manicured suburban arboretums. The wild flowers and old quarry setting are incomparable.
Great park in the heart of Bridgeport. Several different walking paths and areas to explore. On the top of the hill, you can see the Chicago skyline. More
The landscape around the pond is amazing! The pond has cliffs on the north and west sides. On the east side of the pond is a great series of waterfalls
Beautiful park, kid friendly, a small man made pond (that you can ice skate on in the winter) a hill, ride across from a playground and mcguane park
Awesome park with exuberant views. An awesome place all around with ideal spots for picnics and having peaceful views of the city skylines
It was so nice and comforting! Very clean! I loved the water fall and there was a turtle family that was the highlight of our adventure
Great place to explore in the snow! Ducks were hanging out by the bubbler in the pond. Seemed like a popular sledding hill, as well.
Been coming here since they started the wildflower prairie. It gets more beautiful each season. A real surprise to see in the city.
Best park in Chicago, always worth a trip. Cool ice formations in the winter and great for birdwatching in warmer weather.
I went there for good walk, you can see all Chicago down towns from the up a little mountain, you can find people fishing.
Very unique park. Where else can you see the Willis Tower framed by prairie grass and sky? A great place to fish too.
Fun park, not too many people, everyone doing a good job of social distancing. Great view of the city.
A beautiful re-use of a retired landfill. Offers some of the best views of Chicago that can be had.
Nice quiet Oasis in the city. Lot's of sun with very little shade so bring your sunscreen and hat.
One of my favorite parks to jog or bike to. My pups love taking long walks there once in a while.
Perfect place to visit with your child. Easy free street parking. Quiet, clean, peaceful..
