Hi, today I walked into IGA Malvern at 8:57pm, and was greeted (by the young woman) with "you have one minute, we're closing". My friend and I acknowledged and rushed through to pick what we needed. As we were selecting items, the staff member sweeping the floor said "this is closed" and rudely signalled for us to get out. Then the girl said again "we are closed". By this point it was 8:59 and we were walking to checkout, where she walked off on us after stating the price (that I proceeded to pay on EFT). We had paid and were out of the store by 9pm. Firstly, google says the store is open until 10pm, so its mystifying to be so rudely told at 8:57pm we have "one minute". Then to feel so unwelcomed, like we were doing something wrong for coming in to purchase, quite obviously during trading hours is beyond me. An absolutely horrible experience giving IGA a bad name.

IGA Express Malvern, is an Excellent street corner mini Super Market with 25/7 access for the residents in Malvern, Tooronga localities. This place is having a ATM the only one around here. Since big super Markets like Coles n Woolworth do not have their outlets nearby, IGA Express Malvern serves for all the daily household needs from veggies to Alcoholic drinks. Seniors n elderly(Even younger) people living around, are fulfilling their walking n shopping needs besides contributing to the larger National Interest of ‘Climate Change’, saving on fuels n pollution.

MISLEADING PRICES AND PRICING INCONSISTENCIES Watch as your items are being scanned at the checkout to ensure the price is the same as what was on the shelf. Consumer have rights when spending their hard earned money. If a business displays more than one price for the same item, this is called multiple pricing. The business must sell the item for the lowest "displayed price" or withdraw the item for sale until the price discrepancy is fixed.

Rude people. The closing time states 10pm, at 9:55pm I went to the store to be told they were “closed” even though the door is open, I was in the store they said “they can’t help me because they already closed the till” and the 2 staff members were arguing about between themselves about how they should’ve locked the door earlier. seems a bit rediculous to turn away paying customers, because they wanted to knock off early. AVOID

A little disappointing that your staff close at 845pm to ensure they leave by 9pm as the boss doesn’t pay them after 9pm however the store is advertised it is open till 9pm. Is it 845pm close or 9pm and pay your staff appropriately?

It is great to have the convenience of this IGA. Good selection of fresh vegetables. Good selection of meats. Friendly staff for the most part.

I want to support smaller stores but I'm constantly having to check prices as they scan through at full price when they're on discount.

Please educate staff on how to correctly pack bags for delivery. Everything squeezed into one bag, bread and bananas squashed.

Only good for emergency shopping! As the bill will be 30% cheaper if bought stuff from big supermarkets. Convenient location

Good for milk. Alot of groceries overpriced like all IGA's. A "one of item" ok. Wouldn't do a weekly shop..

OK, but often bypass this store as there are often no car parks nearby for quick visits on the way past.

Really good range for a reasonably small place. Loads of different choice around fresh prepared meals.

Great place to drop in for a quick emergency shop. My go to for a bread and milk (and coffee) run.

What's the point of being a supermarket if there's never any chicken breast fillets?!
