Firstly the customer service me and my party experienced last night was unacceptable. The Hispanic lady bartender and the Hispanic waitress around 12 midnight August 2, 2023 were absolutely disappointing as we went to the waiter to ask about ordering food and drinks and she literally yelled at us and said she didn't work there and walked away. She was standing directly near the kitchen when we approached her. I could still see her wearing her apron. She was skinny, talked loud and annoyingly and she looked Hispanic. Then the bartender with the drinks. I thought she was going to drink the drinks to the table but no she waved us (Black woman, Indian man) over to get our food. I believe this was completely prejudice as we witnessed her walking shots over to the table directly in front of us (buff black men) that looked like they were her friends. Disgusting behavior and I would've said something to management last night but my guy friend me not to. Be mindful how they treat black women. Cause you see they love them some black men but for some reason the women who RAISE them are being disrespected at an all time high. Btw, my buddy is from New York, I recommended the place at first but after our treatment he will not be back. As for me if I do come back I'll be more VOCAL(like that unhelpful waitress) about anything that seems to be of an issue.

Overall I liked it. Definitely a big deck! Service was good and there is a "hometown" kinda vibe where the staff make the effort to call you by your name - nice touch... Happy hour was 1/2 price appetizers and although my order initially came out incorrect, when I finally got them the loaded nachos were pretty tasty. The day I visited however the downstairs windows were open and I sat at the bar. Customers were right outside the door & open windows smoking - the smoke was just coming straight into the building really setting off my sinuses / allergies... I let the bartender know and asked if smoking right outside the door was the norm to which he replied 'people can smoke outside'... I explained that I was allergic to smoke (cigarette smoke in particular), as my nose was stuffing up and I was starting to get a headache. He walked over and asked them to move out of the window. Ultimately I appreciate it but it also did seem like I was inconveniencing him with my request. Clearly the smoking area is not really well thought out if people smoke right outside the open windows. It's like saying "No peeing in the pool" so instead swimmers get out, stand on the edge and pee... Doesn't really meet the intent.

The area is heavily under construction and the parking kinda sucks. The door man was cool and everyone seemed friendly inside. It's three levels to this place which is pretty awesome. My friends and I spent time on the second floor which is where the DJ is, dance floor, pool table and beer pong tables. Half of the room is surrounded by windows which I thought was cool. It's a full service bar and it wasn't a long wait to get drinks. The DJ played a good mix of music from pop, hip hop, reggae and techno. On the third level it was also a full service bar and where they took food orders. The chicken strip basket was amazing... or I was just really inebriated at the time. I thought the food was reasonably priced for the amount you got and the quality. Drink prices were the same as it is anywhere. There was no music on the third floor. But plenty of people to mingle with. The only downside was this horrible smell that came and went throughout the night. The scent reminded me of sewage or wet garbage. A waitress from the establishment said it was from a near by dumpster from a building next door, but it didn't seem like it. Don't let those 2 minor things stop you from going. I enjoyed it.

Don’t go there! I’m new to KC arrived last November after retiring from the Florida education field. Within the past four months I’ve dine in Paris Nice and Lisboa so I know a little about dining. My first visit I went to the top outdoors to eat. There were four customers and five waiters. I didn’t get service until twenty minutes later. Needless to say I left. A few days later I spoke to the manager and he and I had a long talk and it was fine. Since November I may have eat there around 10 times. Each time my waiter would have a Cab waiting for happy hours and he would inform me if I needed another because happy hours was ending. So today I was told wine is not served during happy hours. I asked if that was something new. The boys I never seen before said it was always that way! So I asked was I only given wine during happy hours. The boys said, no you never was served wine I asked to speak to the manager. He said he was. I asked if there’s another manager last month or two other then himself. He said NO! The boy was lying! I spoked to another manager from Nov 2021 till April 2022 when I left for Paris. So be mindful of them being trustworthy of in need of diversity training.

I chose to eat the Fried Chicken Sandwich with a large side order of curly fries. Though cheap-o beverages tend to be the choice for many, I chose to buy a Kansas City Germany-style ale. (Kansas City Bier Company). K.C. Bier does brew great Ales/Brews.

Parking
Having eaten dinner John's Big Deck last week. As a mobile man, I can walk (or step) up many stories to arrive on John's Big Deck. There's quite a lot of downtown buildings visible from John's Big Deck. (That's an extra benefit after stepping up many floors). Generally speaking, The Big Deck is 8 stories above the Street (sidewalk) level. However, I'm unaware of any methods or techniques for handicapped folks to drink (or eat) on John's Big Deck.
Wheelchair accessibility
Sure, alcoholic beverages are available on the street level. Since I don't know how handicapped people would be able to have food (or drink) offerings, there may be an elevator from the street level to John's Big Deck.

We went upstairs to the Deck around 8:00 on a Thursday night in September. There were 2 waitresses serving tables and we were to seat ourselves, so we sat at an empty table that needed wiped. The waitress walked by us several times, never acknowledged us once. After about 15 minutes of waiting my husband went to the bar and got us drinks. About half way through our drinks I asked the waitress as she walked by if she could please wipe our table. She flippently said, "in a minute, I'm busy" Too busy obviously to even acknowledge our existence. Our drinks were almost gone when she came by with a rag that looked dirty and obviously sprayed with a lot of pine sol. She wiped our table and the smell of pine sol was very strong. She said, "want anything else?" I said no. We left minutes later and left her 26 ¢. Her loss. We are very good tippers when we get decent service. It's a shame because after you climb the 3 flights of stairs (exhausting) there is a beautiful view of KC downtown. But we won't go back until the waitresses get trained to acknowledge and treat their customers with respect. The food? Who knows. We never were asked if we wanted any.

Place was great! Interesting and welcoming vibe on the second floor, still got to look outside with the large windows, but enjoy central air and order food and drinks at the bar. Nice staff, not a huge selection of alternative alcohols like stouts and ciders, but good mixed drinks according to my friend. Depending on the time you go, you can still carry on a conversation, later it gets more exciting and louder. Pretty sure there was a 70s themed night we weren't aware of as the live music started and at least 20 people dressed up and we're very excited and having fun on the second floor. Top floor had a nice size deck with TV's, little fire pits to talk around, plenty of seating and quick service at the bar (get there early, fills up fast on the top/3rd floor. Nice spot besides the narrow stairs when you first enter, some may consider it an accident waiting to happen. Be careful and best to wait and let one person on the stairs at a time versus trying to pass each other.

GAME DAY SUNDAY REVIEW (noon game). First off, server was great. She was just put in a horrible position by her manager or whoever does the scheduling. We got there at 1155 am and got the last table on the upper deck. They had one waitress for 20 tables, most of which had 6 or more seats. Better staffing is needed. You could stand in line for bar service but that line was ten deep most of the time we were there. Also tab with server separate from bar. Ordered food beginning of 2nd quarter and by half time still had no food. Was told they had one kitchen for three floors, but again... Do better, especially since the majority of the patrons were upstairs. This place has lots of TVS but all behind the bar on upper deck so beer taps and peoples' heads are in the way if you're out in the center of the deck. It has potential, but staffing and setup of the upper deck leave a lot to be desired.

We came to KC for a bachelorette party. We went to John’s Big Deck for some drinks, dinner and fun. We sat for 20 minutes before someone approached us, said if we wanted drinks we needed to go to the bar and order them ourselves. After another 40 minutes of waiting for service (or at MINIMUM waters and even more minimal, atleast a menu?) we went up and asked the bartender for menus. She gave us a dirty look and said “you can look it up online”. we said the menu isn’t on the website so she snarkily handed us a menu and rolled her eyes. Keep in mind, 3 tables sat down AFTER we arrived and were served instantly. Will never go back, HORRIBLE service! Disappointing to say the least, especially as someone who works in the service industry and understands how a restaurant works. Not a way to treat customers who are going to be spending money.

  • Kailey Urbina

If I could give this place 0 stars, I absolutely would. A group of girls and I came to KC for a Bachelorette weekend. We found this place and were excited to have some good food and drinks. It was a busy Friday night so we expected a little bit of a wait. It was 20-30 minutes before anyone even approached our table and when our waitress did, she told us that “she was too busy and that if we wanted drinks we needed to go to the bar and get them ourselves.” My friends had to ask for a menu and when they did, one of the bartenders copped an attitude, rolled her eyes and tossed a menu at my friend. Three other tables sat AFTER us and were served before us. Our waitress NEVER returned to our table and we eventually left. The service was absolutely HORRIBLE and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We went here last month for The Pitch's Nacho Week. We specifically picked this place to try their Dorito nachos...and they were good. But everything else left something to be desired. They had one poor girl working the entire upper deck (on a summer Friday at 3:30pm!), which left many of us waiting extra long for service. She was doing her very best though to manage so many tables. And wow, the bathrooms could use some work. It baffles me why any reputable business would provide hand soap (which I'm pretty sure was actually Dawn dish soap - see pic) in a squeezable 'ketchup' bottle & 'Soap' hand-written on a piece of masking tape. It doesn't need to be fancy, but it doesn't need to look like trash either. Lots of negative reviews lately; hope they get it together!

  • Raiven

This was my first time being there. The upstairs bathroom didn't have any soap to wash hands. When mentioned the lack of soap it was kind of brushed off. Ordered loaded waffle fries no bacon. Was given loaded waffle fries with clear chucks of bacon on it. When brought to the attention of the bartender. They proceeded to tell us it didn't have bacon and requested we prove it had bacon. We literally had to pick out chucks to "prove" it to the bartender. They made another batch but at that point we didn't trust the food and the service. After that experience we literally felt unwelcomed and pretty uncomfortable. Probably won't be going back. They have Malört.

It was a cool atmosphere the floors with different music the first floor had a live band and the third floor where the deck is had food. It was a nice day so I got to get the full experience of the deck! The food was great and the bartender made me lemonade because he could see I'm 7 months pregnant and don't drink. That was really nice! The only thing I didn't like was that I think there is only one bathroom so of course I had to wait and the security guy was very rude about where I should be standing to wait to use the bathroom. Then when I went back upstairs he intentionally stood in my way and didn't move so I had to move to let him by. He was very rude and he'd honestly deter me from going back anytime soon.

Man I have to tell toy these guys dont care about anything. We came on Saturday for dj at 11 and looked like a frat party exploded at 3am...trash on the floor beer on dance floor...asked the door man who was running this poverty establishment and he said he was...I say yo when are you picking up the trash all over and he says at 3am when it closes because it is just going to get dirty again...fing pathetic...get the f out of here with that lame take...if you want to live in filth come here to party and you won't be disappointed.. If you value health and avoiding anything that can be transmitted by touch then steer clear of this place

Very different than it used to be. Went for lunch on a Friday. Weather outside was great and they had the two large garage style doors open in the front. Prices on the daily food specials were good. Friday special is a Philly sandwich with beef, chicken, or turkey. It comes with fries, a drink. The sandwich is pretty good. The fries are OK. Service was OK. Our server was friendly. She took our drink orders and delivered them quickly. She also took our food orders as soon as we were ready. The food came out fast. The only thing that could have been better is she could have come back to check on us for refills. All in all, good experience at a good divey kind of bar downtown.

I love coming to John’s for the live music and the locations. The atmosphere and music is always amazing. Drinks come to you fast and well made. Their employees are so diligent and respectful. Jess, Sergio, Adrian, and Gemma are my favorite bartender. The security always insures the safety of the patrons while we have a good time. Nano definitely takes the award for best bouncer (why I keep coming back) if there was such an award. Very polite, welcoming, funny and always smells good! He definitely isn’t your average bouncer! 10/10 would recommend the place.

Ordered the nachos with Doritos, silly delicious. But the reason this place deserves a written review ... I asked if there was any chance they had a baggie for my leftover doritos. I explained we were heading to P&L and I was hoping to have snacking later but obviously no big deal if they didn't. The server not only comes back with a baggie, he gave me two options. Quart size zipper style to ensure I didn't spill in my bag or the sandwich size fold-over. I went sandwich size because I don't have a purse and will carry them like a child carries snacks at the zoo. Regardless, this service is above and beyond! Thank you Sergio!

Came in around 11 and was a little busy when we arrived. Order a round of shots and got them fairly quickly. Two huge groups left and ordered another rounds of shots. Waited about 15 minutes because female bartender was no where to be found. She finally came back downstairs and was behind the bar for a little bit and still had not brought our shots. Finally went up to bar to get tab and she told the other bartender that she had not brought our shots to us. I can understand if they were busy but there was no excuse for waiting over 20 minutes for just two people getting shots. Not coming back

Some girls and I came here for a bachelorette weekend and we just wanted some food and drinks. It was around 7 pm and it was a busy Friday night. We sat down and waited for 20 min before someone came to talk to us. Our waitress said “I’m busy so if you want drinks go to the bar and get them yourselves” then walked away. We then went 40 min without a single word from her as she went to the table next to us 4 times. I’m very disappointed in this place. We ended up leaving after an hour of no drinks or service an I will not be going back. PS: the deck wasn’t even that big.

  • Matthew L

Doesn’t look like much, but the food is great and at reasonable prices. John’s chicken salad as a wrap was fantastic! Good balance of meat and veggies, good portion, excellent flavor. Be sure to ask for waffle fries. And decker nachos with Doritos are everything you think they are. Lots of ground beef, plenty of toppings. The single is a lot for one person, the double is probably great for sharing Ground beef tacos for taco tuesdays are excellent. Would definitely order again. The chicken is ok, but the beef is great.

  • Chris Winters

I visited this place a couple of weeks ago with a few friends. We only ordered drinks which were typically priced for the area. I thought the atmosphere was energetic and fun. The crowd was a little younger and the size was small and it also had a rather cramped staircase to the upper level but I thought this contributed to its eclectic appeal instead of detracting from it. This coupled with the live music makes this a nice place to visit with friends. I will definitely return the next time im in KC.

  • M Nieves

The view on the rooftop was great. But the techno music was WAY TOO LOUD considering no one was dancing. If folks were dancing then the volume would make sense. The food was mediocre. I had the Chop salad I have seen better salads at Taco Bell. My date had the Taco Basket and for what he got it was overpriced. If you want to hang out and get drunk then go to John's Big Deck. If you want to take a date to a great rooftop go elsewhere unless you are a proficient lip reader that enjoys techno

  • J J

1 bartender in specific is very rude and had underlying racist intent. Kicked my friends and I out for not tipping? After having spent over $100+ and having tipped all other bartenders and we simply asked him for a couple of waters. He went off, cussed us out and told us to “get better jobs”; completely irrelevant. So, do not recommend bartenders on the first floor, but everyone else was amazing.

This is my first time getting a chance to visit Kansas City, MO! My husband and I noticed the nearest restaurant to our hotel was this place and it was absolutely awesome! We went up to the deck on the third floor and got to enjoy a delicious meal. This place takes the pandemic very seriously and there is plenty of spacing. I got the John's chicken salad wrap and my husband got the 'Po Boy sandwich. We definitely recommend this place for some good quality comfort food.

  • Melanie Eppens

This was such a great spot to have some good food and some refreshing brews! My friends and I went here for a quick Sunday lunch. Service was great even though there was one waitress for the entire roof patio and there were a couple people there. The view is spectacular and there's plenty of seating for large groups! The food was phenomenal! Their fries are fantastic - you will be mad if you don't order them! Also, get the boom-boom sauce, you'll thank me.

  • Brenda Morris

If you can take the 55 stairs to the top, you will discover a hidden gem; "John's Big Deck"! The drinks were on point and not pricy at all! The wait staff was friendly and very accommodating! The food was good, but would have been better had it not been served cold. But I digress, Big John made it right! I shall return to "The Big Deck" this summer with my significant other! The experience will be better on a warmer day!

  • Matthew Winningham

Loud. If you are 30 and under, this is probably a great place, but otherwise, if you want to have conversation, this is not the place to go. Service was actually decent and our waitress was nice. But the music, and consequently the voices, were too loud for us to hear each other at our table. Also, not many draft beer choices. Prices seemed decent.

Bartender couldn’t be bothered to stop his conversation to do my transaction. He literally carried on a convo about football while I paid for my food for a to-go order. Never bothered to say hello or greet me, he just threw the check in my face while talking to other customers. They were not even busy. Horrible service compared to neighboring bar service. Very rude. I wish I hadn’t paid for the soggy fries. Sad.

  • Anthony C

I've found them to be slow sometimes, especially in the kitchen, but the food is surprisingly good for bar food. They have a simple but wide enough beer selection, and the rooftop bar is fairly neat and worth checking out. There are a lot of stairs which are somewhat narrow and I can't imagine trying to get down safely if you've had too many. (If that's an actual concern though, stay on the bottom floor.)

  • Danny Minick

Living across from this bar is a nightmare. Loud, unruly drunks yelling and screaming at 3 in the morning when the rest of us have to work the next day combined with idiots revving their cars and roaring down Wyandotte is atrocious. Why the city allows this is beyond me. The owners are extremely sarcastic with me on Instagram when I call them out, so I should expect the same on here when they read this review.

  • Anastasia Halpin

Cool atmosphere on the third story deck top. For out of towners, you probably figured out there’s smoking allowed in an outdoor atmosphere, so that was a bit of an issue for us. The food was better than what you may expect from bar food: we had the sliders and the margarita pizza. But it was kind of funny that they used spinach instead of fresh basil in the margarita pizza. Server was adequate but distant.

  • Cedric Schofield

This is a downtown bar. It actually has several different levels. The deck portion is kind of fun, if it wasn't so hot all summer. Their drink prices are okay. The food is actually pretty good for a bar. My biggest problem is they charge cover for a bar without live music on the weekends. If you don't mind paying that then enjoy. There are a lot of bars in KC and most don't charge a cover. I'll go there.

  • Whitney

Apps were good, live music was decent, and the other 2 levels were decent but limited places to sit or stand on a Friday. Cover fee to get in. Bartenders seem to be more concerned about regulars or friends on the first floor. Bathrooms are in a weird place if your on the 3rd floor.

Good three-story bar with the top being a big deck with several bars, tables, high top tables, fire pits and overhead string lights. The drinks are vast and the menu is your typical bar food. They specialize in sandwiches and burgers. Head up to the bar to get your drinks and order food - a server may be around to ask if you need anything or they may not. It's fastest and easiest just to head up.

This is our first time going here and we really enjoyed and loved it the place had all different races we didn't get looked at funny like we normally do when we go to certain places we fault really comfortable going there the music was good the people had good customer service no attitudes the bouncer was even cool I like that the make sure everyone is safe and can enjoy there night!!!

  • Max Taylor

One of the coolest bars around. The environment is so chill and the drinks are super fairly priced. The only gripe i have is they allow smoking on the deck. Let’s be real, smoking isn’t an individual event and it’s off putting to literally everyone else around. If they prohibited smoking cigarettes on the deck, it would be 100 times better. It’s still amazing though.

  • Dr. DuPree

I was on a cross continent road trip and spent a couple days in Kansas City. John's was near the hotel and sounded like fun. It was. Mixed crowd of uounger, older, and plenty in between. Good beer selection and food available all day. The staff were really friendly and on top of things. Awesome vibe with locals mixing it up with those just passing through.

  • Ryan Ellis

I had the double burger (can't remember the name) with waffle fries and it was really tasty, a little better than your typical bar burger and reasonably priced. I don't usually order beer with lunch but a fat tire was the perfect complement. John's Big Deck may not catch your eye when you're in downtown kc for lunch but you should definitely give it a try.

  • Amy Simmonds

This spot is a friendly and casual venue for any occasion. I stop by for trivia nights, but it's been a nice, relaxing place to hang out after work on any weeknight. Their bartenders are super friendly and are willing to answer any questions. They also have a decently sized food menu, and although I haven't tried any of it myself, I've heard good things!

Well, you could easily call it the ultimate "dive bar." I and the family didn't go there to drink, but if that's your thing, it could be fun. We went for the deck and to check out their food. Sorry John, but your deck ain't as big as you brag, but it's a nice place to hang out. The food was very good, and I would certainly go back for that!

  • Alyssa Hobelmann

Our waitress was absolutely terrible. Forgot to put in my food order and by the time I got it everyone was done eating. Failed to give us an itemized receipt and when we got one there were 2 drinks on there that we didn’t even get. She almost gave my friends debit card to another table. Love this place but the service tonight was awful.

  • Maggie Holt

I mean, come on y'all. It's all in the name. The food is good, the drinks are good. The deck is a great spot for, say, a department happy hour. Or two departments. (Our company had, quite coincidentally, two different departments patronize John's Big Deck on the same afternoon. The poor, unsuspecting waitstaff handled us marvelously.)

  • Micayla Singleton

The owner is the rudest person I ever met. He decided to close last minute and make all my friends get out. The way he talked to my friend, you would think he's racist. He was nice to me but was mumbling under his breath about my African American friend. Worst service ever.....

I don’t get why they feel the need to play obnoxiously loud music that can be heard a block away at 1am on a Wednesday but it’s pretty annoying when I’m trying to sleep. I’d be really nice if they could tone it down a few decimal so people could sleep. I’m glad I don’t have children because they’d be wide awake just like I am.

I have been here multiple times with bigger groups and dates. It is great for any casual event. With the three different levels of entertainment, you have alot of choices in one location. The drinks are very well priced and the food is delicious. It is a great choice if you want to go drink and hang out with friends downtown

It was a cold rainy night as we came through Kansas City and we found this spot to have everything we needed. Good drinks and good food. The tenderloin sandwich was great. The atmosphere was great as well, games and special events. Will recommend this place if you are looking for a good time and to have some good grub.

This place does not seem impressive on the outside. While they tout their big deck, they serve excellent food. Try the pork tenderloin or any of their burgers. I am also a fan of their queso dip. Great service and a neighborhood feel. If you haven't been here and looking for a solid bar and grill, check this place out.

Not a bad place but nothing special. In addition, my school had rented out the second floor for a celebration and the bouncer wouldn't let me in because they were at full capacity (which I understand) BUT they let a bunch of people who weren't a part of the celebration in, half of the class couldn't even get in.

  • Jason Webber

Great spot for inexpensive drinks. The three floors offer different experiences for everyone. The first floor was chill but had some live music, second floor was games and dancing, and third floor was outdoor (tented in the winter) seating that's a little more intimate. Overall a great place to hang out!

I do work for these people. Great bar and authentic Mexican tacos. Outdoor patio on top plus indoor as well. The owners are stand up and very cool. I'd recommend to anyone. Only downside is it's in the location downtown city. Parking isn't great. You would have to find parking. Would reccomend an uber.

Go up to the top deck for the best experience. Also a good place to watch a game on tv. The Hummus Plate is a good option for something light on a hot day. The fried green beans are great with a cold beer.

That spicy friend chicken sandwich was delicious. Took a star off cause the wings aren't whole wings they're ity bitty drumettes the flavor was there but for $14 and 8 little bity pieces of chicken you feel jipped. The rooftop was nice, crowd was mixed and a bit sketchy but hey its a bar.

At first, we wasn’t sure about the place, but we end up having a really good time & my only complaint was they didn’t have my drink 1738 well, they didn’t have no cognac at all

This is a decent place to go just to hang out. The rooftop was an excellent location to watch sports, and the tacos were so good. I love that there are various levels so you can decide which vibe you are on at the moment and chill on that floor. I would go back to hang out.

This is a great place to hangout. Went with some coworkers after the annual holiday party. Stayed until the wee hours of the morning. Prices were decent, food was excellent, and the staff was friendly and inviting. Overall, a worthwhile place to get together with friends.

Clean and fast. The day was crazy busy with a chiefs game. The waiter forgot my friend’s appetizer (they weren’t charged) my other friends fried chicken was burnt but they didn’t get charged. Not a great experience but I’ll try the place again on a less hectic day.

Beautiful views of downtown! This is the place to go when its nice out and you need a night of fun. Catch a game on the plentiful tvs or just enjoy the night. The people are amazingly nice and the drinks are cold and right on time. Its 5 o'clock somewhere right?!

This place is awesome. Second time I've been and it's a great friendly and comfortable atmosphere. It's diverse and offers many levels of music and culture. I would definitely come back. The only issue I had was the lack of service received on the second level.

  • J Williams

Three full floors of hot mess for your enjoyment. Rooftop patio is awesome. Views, spacious deck, nice pours. Crowd is all over the map. Every time I go its a little bit of everything. Diverse. 2nd floor has a pool table and DJ. If you can twerk - even better.

  • Sam Luks

We didn't order food, but what we saw looked amazing. Co-workers ordered mystery beer, and no one received the same drink. Everyone was happy with their drink. The margarita was very good as well. Lemonade was perfect.

Great place. Horrible mix drinks. Rooftop Bartender made Long Island ice tea with all triple sec and a splash of tequila. I paid $65 for food/drinks and left the nasty drink on the bar after 1 sip.

Nice place to hang out. Sometimes there's a $5 cover but it's worth it really. 3 floors so there's a lot of room. Lot's of TV's too for sports. Their burgers are good and decently priced. The upper deck is fun and nice. Definitely worth checking out.

  • Michelle Evans

We did not get a chance to enter as it was about to close. But the little time we were there, the security guard took our picture for us. He was really nice. Hope to visit this the next time we are in town.

Ok place. Had a roof top you can hang out on with full bar service. Drinks were good. Went in a Sunday night after the game but kind of slow. To be fair it was the day after Christmas and most places were slow. Looks like a fun place though.

  • Michele Chad

But have you been on this deck?! great views of the city and fun atmosphere. They have great daily drink specials and have been doing pop up bars on the 2nd floor. The staff is always welcome and fun. Definitely a must when you're downtown.

Had a great time here! The third floor was open in February with fire pits and tents for wind and rain protection. Bartenders were friendly and even helped us get rid of a guy giving us trouble, he was extremely drunk. They were prompt and

Had a company outing a John's last week. Great atmosphere. There are three levels. The bottom floor has an old time sports bar feel. The second level has an open dance floor and karaoke (also they broke out the beer pong table). The top

Very disappointed. They wanted to charge me five dollars after 9 PM and I don’t drink just wanted to have dinner at the rooftop deck. I guess they only care about the cover charge and don’t care about customer service.

Chill place to hangout. The multiple levels give you options to fit the vibe you're looking for. One of the best rooftops in downtown KC. Food is good, but won't blow you away. Occasionally you'll run into so poor service, bit not often

  • Leslie Maylor

They didn't serve my table our ordered lunch as the food was going to take so long to prepare. If you you there and it's not crowded, you'll get served. If it is a busy day for them, good luck. Their sweet potato fries tasted great.

Awesome food and drinks! The wait staff are very friendly! And Saturday nights is like a club setting on the 2nd floor. They have a dance floor and a DJ. There's 3 floors including a rooftop! Fun times for any and everyone!

Nice deck. Good burger and was very reasonable on their daily specials. Good service. Music seemed to play same songs over and got little monotonous. Not much of a view but nice outside eating and drinking in good weather.

It was our first time here and we will definitely go back. The waffle fries are so good. The bartenders were very quick and make strong drinks. The vibe is great and the prices for food and drinks are pretty reasonable.

We had a great time, it was Wednesday night and we played musical bingo on floor two. Drinks were tasty and strong. Would come again but not a weekend, place is quant but when lots of people show up, place gets noisiey.

If you're going there for food, don't. Food was cold upon receiving. Overall experience was a zero. Now, if you're going to just get something to drink, prepare to wait for your drink. Definitely hit or miss.

This place was awful l I needed to use the womans restroom and there was a leaking ceiling tile and there were spiders and flies in there overall the service was good but the hygiene of this place is awful

They look like they got a few good lunch specials. the fries goods for a sit-down place. I got my food pretty quickly. And they had peanut butter as a topping for food find that any else around here.

They were fantastic with us bringing our kids in there for an early dinner! Just note no kids after 6pm, as the establishment is a bar and grill. Also the JBD Street Tacos were really good!
