The food here is pretty good. I have been meaning to try it and it delivers in taste and freshness. Atmosphere is very noisy and cluttered. The tables are so close to one another and it’s hard to hear the person sitting across the table from you without speaking loudly. I get they get busy but it’s not a take away casual joint for food. Then the fruit flies we constantly had to ward off our food and face- it needs a good clean. It was not pleasant to sit there doing that all night. Service is slow and the kitchen was intermittently sending food out. No communication from the wait staff. I know it’s hard to run restaurants in this climate but to give a bad experience basically means no longevity

We booked a table of 12 persons on July 8, 2023. We ordered Steamed Eel, Sweet Sour Pork, Hot pot Chicken with ginger and shallots and other 6 dishes. All were of a very high standard. The owner(Harry) is very enthusiastic and joyous in introducing his gourmet and his chef. We all had a good time and definitely will go and dine in JoyChew in the future.

Hidden Gem in Lane Cove I had a great pleasure at JoyChew today. Their Diced Beef with Wasabi Sauce is incredible. And the Steamed Crab Meat Dumplings are like a work of art. Highly recommended!

Hong Kong styled eatery in Lane Cove village, very happy to have a local yum cha place to go! Loved the dishes we ordered that catered to vegetarians as well! The salt n pepper tofu was tasty, seafood fried rice was well flavoured but the dish of the night was the wasabi beef with broccoli!!! We will be back again for more!

Have been a couple of times since they opened, food is generally excellent with great specials like jumbo steamed oysters and scallops. Definitely a very good boutique Chinese restaurant. Fried rice is a bit too salt heavy and beef rice noodle a bit oily, otherwise all other dishes were great. Good service too.

Excellent food! Very authentic cantonese dishes and their dumplings were so fresh and delicious! The Boss Harry was very friendly ! Highly recommended and definitely my go to place now for good authentic cantonese Chinese food ! For me the dumplings are better then the ones you find at chatswood.

If you want real Hong Kong style food, you should call ahead and pre-order food that are not I. The menu. Great sea food, excellent crab hot pot, fish maw hot pot, fry beans, steam chicken, fried rice and etc etc. Excellent food, great and friendly services, price is also reasonable. What else you want from a restaurant? Steam rice was free - at the moment.

My family and I recently noticed this newly opened Chinese restaurant in Lane Cove and we walked in on a Sunday for late lunch. The experience exceeded expectations! The food is great, especially the seafoods and wasabi beef. And the price is fairly reasonable, $23pp. Will definitely visit again.

I recently had nice dine in this very beautiful decorated restaurant and it close to Lane Cove shopping centre and aquatic. The quality of the food was generally excellent, with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors. I order steamed prawn dumpling, fried beef and noodle which really yummy! Worthy to try! More

The food was great. Lots of flavour, fresh and hot. The prawns were especially good. The young lady that looked after us was friendly and helpful. Very happy and we'll be back!
