My in laws visited from Belize, so we wanted to allow them to experience a place we’ve grown to love over the years - Kings Bowl! It’s been years since we’ve visited, but they’ve never disappointed. We had a party of 9, but we weren’t all arriving together. Upon arrival, we were assigned a lane, decided to get situated, get our shoes and then order our food so there wouldn’t be any interruptions while bowling. Well, by the time our last three guests arrived we added them to our lane because we were only on round 4 (we had a toddler bowling so preparing the ramp and dealing with tantrums also took time) We were told we’d get an additional 30 minutes because there were alot of people on our lane. However, we then realized our time was over and our 3 guests were then given 30 minutes to bowl. We are really confused! Here’s the issue: (1) it’s best to tell people their game is timed and even better to tell them their time limit. Don’t assume every guest knows. We spent a total of $260 just to bowl about 5 rounds. (2) they’ve completely changed the menu. We spend about $180 on 4 orders of wings, pizza, meatballs and nachos because that’s literally ALL they have on the menu now. I originally reserved a table to sit and eat, but I quickly realized there was no need because the calamari, quesadillas and shrimp we’ve grown to love was no more! It was the biggest disappointment of the night! I’ve never spent so much money, but have been given such little time to enjoy it. After nearly 7 years of visiting, We won’t return!

The Men of Fellowship Chicago booked an event with Kings Dining and Entertainment and couldn't have been more pleased with the follow through, professionalism, hospitality and accommodations to ensure our event was successful and enjoyable for all. The focus on customer service was OUTSTANDING and second to none! The General Manager, Jared Johnson was amazing in his personal interactions to ensure everything was being done and that we needed for nothing. The Event Sales Manager, Shawneice Floyd was outstanding to work with and went above and beyond to accommodate everything we needed. The servers George and Kelly couldn't have been nicer. They were responsive, attentive, courteous personable and quickly became a part of our team. I would run out of positive adjectives to express how phenomenal, extraordinary and awesome working with this organization has been from beginning to end. The food was great, the accommodations were amazingly updated and clean and the service was unbelievably exceptional.

Bowling was fun but expensive because they charge by the hour BUT ALSO by the person?! It’s sort of weird when you think about it. If you went on your own you’d pay $30 for the same hour occupying the lane but if you went with 3 other friends you’d pay $120 for the exact same hour…. And you’ll prob order more drinks and all so they’re punishing people who have more people join in on one lane. Why don’t people just get individual lanes then? Don’t understand. Other than this pricing issue, the bowling lanes sometimes break. We were moved and had no more issues but based on another review, seems like not uncommon. Service was decently friendly but not too organized. We had a pizza and it was decent. My first drink (redbull vodka) was really water down. Like no alcohol at all … seriously because I’m very sensitive to alcohol so I know when there’s none. My second drink was strong ?! Weird. They validate parking for the garage for fix costs of $5.5. It wasn’t crowded when we went.

Great location.  Food was good.  But overall communication is where Kings missed the mark.  Person taking our reservation told us one thing and wasn't consistent with what we were later told.   This led to an issue with our bowling reservation, which wasn't brought to our attention until after we had spent $150 on food and drinks.  When we tried to talk it thru with a manager she was very unwilling to even try to communicate and help us come up with a solution.  She just got frustrated and walked away.   Our server was very friendly and helpful but that is where the customer service ended.  Bowling lanes could be updated.  Pinsetter in our lane had to be reset 3 times in one game.   Balls are returned at such a speed we were afraid someone may get hurt.  For how much we spent, we left feeling like our money would have been better spent elsewhere.

Hosted my son's 6th birthday party here and it was fabulous. He gave it a 10 out of 10 (which made me very happy). I am a particular planner and their team worked closely with me to make sure the party (including 20 6-year-olds) was perfect. We split our time between the bowling and arcade. Pizza and chicken fingers never stopped coming and the kids LOVED the ice cream scoops at the end. The staff is excellent and very responsive. I would recommend hosting it right when they open for younger kids. It's basically empty and you have the whole place to yourselves, which makes it easy to manage. Parents were able to relax and socialize since they didn't have to worry about watching them so much. We also chose the private room for a little privacy, which was well worth it. Super happy with how it went!!

Went to this place yesterday for my early birthday celebration and was highly disappointed. Of course we had reservations for the table but the bowling is first come first serve. Once we start bowling the 2 hours we paid for already, the lane we were on kept holding the balls which cause the time to run. We alerted the server and he promised to fix the problem and add 30 minutes back to our game. The problem kept happening so finally we were moved to another lane with a hour promised to us. Both times we alerted the problem to the servers and We never got our time replaced. The food menu is not much. The music is not diverse. Bowling balls were not placed on rack correctly, which caused one to fall on my foot.Will not come back or recommend this location

I chose to celebrate my birthday here this past weekend. It was my first time and I thought it would be fun. It wasn’t as packed as I thought it would be but the waitress did take a long time. We waited about 15 minutes after we were seated before we were able to order drinks which took almost 30 minutes. We were patient and even asked the sever if everything was okay to wish she said she was swamped so we left it alone. We finally ordered food (veggie nachos, bourbon burgers and the pulled pork) but the food was very dry. We patiently waited for the birthday surprise but didn’t get one. It was a meh experience but we made the best of it. Unfortunately, we will not return.

Was very unhappy with the customer service. 1st: The bowling lane we were on kept getting stuck to the point we was relocated to another lane. 2nd: Also b4 the lane problems I purchased 2 hours of bowling time for (4) people. We was promised an additional hour for the inconvenience of the bowling lane malfunctioning. but once the Original (2) hours I purchased ended so did our bowling. I’ve been to Kings twice, and both times resulted in an okay experience. The atmosphere is lively, lanes are functional and the staff is both friendly and attentive. On my first visit, the bill for our party of four was about $100 higher than expected. We were charged for bowling in a lane we did not use, and for shots that were given to us on the house. The bill was promptly corrected, but the situation felt a little shady. The second time around, we had a one hour wait which is completely understandable, but were told to leave after an hour of bowling when we were promised two. Seems like Kings had a tough time managing walk ins and reservations on this given night. The staff did apologize but the experience made it difficult to trust Kings with our business.

EDIT: I dined in last week and ordered chicken tenders. I noticed they were undercooked. I told the waiter and he said "those ARE cooked but if you want us to make them again, it will take a while because we're very busy." I told him to please take it off my bill, he said the manager said no. I did not eat them but did have one or two bites. That night i got very ill and went to the ER the next day. I was told i got a very small case of salmonella!! I have reported this establishment to the city and they are looking into. I provided my doctor's documents for proof. Like i said in my initial review. FOOD IS AWFUL. Kings Bowling does not take bowling league seriously and cancels on us the day of. Food is awful

Wow. I'm almost speechless. Literally the worst service I've ever experienced. The server began by taking our debit card at the beginning of taking our order. Half of the items we ordered never arrived (we were still charged for them), we never got our drinks, the few items we DID receive were ALL incorrect. We were overcharged by almost $20, but at the end of service they brought us the receipt for payment (they ran our card without letting us check the ticket first). I don't think I've ever been this upset after leaving a restaurant. $100 down the drain. I highly recommend NOT going there. Please save yourself the time, trouble and hard-earned money!

Me and my friend was looking for some good food we did not think we was going to like the place at all but when I say the food is good! I had Italian sausage pizza in the waffle fries my friend had the boom boom shrimp in the boom boom spring rolls everything was good. Let me just tell you a little bit about this place it's very laid back if you want some cool relax good Vibes here you go the DJ make you want to dance all night and don't want to go home my waitress was very nice and cool I love everything about this place most definitely will be coming back again oh by the way they do have a pool table, bowling. We hosted a late holiday party at Kings Dining & Entertainment in the King Pin room and it could not have gone any more smoothly! Shawneice and her team are wonderful to work with. In the initial booking process Shawneice was very prompt to get back to me, and always answering my dozens of questions. They were great to accommodate our menu choices as well. We also greatly appreciated them accommodating our group number last minute when we lost a couple of people due to covid. For the event the service was quick and thorough. We had my son’s 11th birthday at Kings a few weeks ago. Shawneice was so helpful with booking the reservation. She was very responsive through out the process. Upon arrival at the venue the whole team was very attentive to our needs. George was our dedicated waiter for the party and he did a wonderful job! He was extremely attentive and welcoming to all our young guests and my family. Even though he had other guests to wait on, he truly made our party a priority throughout the evening. Planning an event at Kings has been a breeze especially with Shawneice! She extensively went over ever detail from the food to the drinks and asked about allergies which was great because we have someone who has a gluten allergy so we were able to build a delicious menu that everyone can eat. The tour she provided was lavish and sold us on booking my partners’ birthday here. While on the tour everyone I came in contact with was warm and inviting! I heard they had a free league night and I can’t want to bring more friends here. Be careful, the drinks are really good so you may forget your are at a bowling spot!

King’s Lincoln Park was wonderful! The food was excellent and the drinks were delicious. Our server Diamond was amazing and so personable. Also, the manager Lejla was so helpful to us and parties around us who needed aid with bowling or other game set ups. Cannot recommend King’s in Lincoln Park enough for anyone looking to have a fun night whether you’re looking to eat, bowl, play, or hangout. 10/10.

Disappointed in the service for a non-busy Sunday evening. The staff was slow to clean lanes and make them available for groups that were waiting. The staff got our food order wrong and was nice enough to remake the order. The bar staff passed us several times as we tried to pay and leave. It did not appear there was much sense of urgency to service guests. We enjoyed the food, the bowling, and the music. The service we received for the price we paid will make it unlikely for us to return.

Worst experience ever for $500 price tag. Drinks and food no servers need to order at the bar. Waited over 2.5 hours for a lane for $26 a person for 1 hour lane but have no attendees to get shoes to bowl. No servers to attend to you on the lanes. I am part of a bowling league, and they cancelled our first game 6 HOURS BEFORE game-time because a private party was going to take over the venue. Kings Bowling shouldn't choose "the highest bidder" and let down so many people. Especially THE DAY OF. They did this to us last year and swore they wouldn't do it again... false. Chicago location. Had a great time bowling. The bowling lanes could use some attention. The ball return pushes the balls back too fast-watch your hands. The air on the ball return was not functional and the lane backlight wasn’t working. The pin setter was not functioning properly and was knocking down pins between throws. For $20 a person for one hour, this should be fixed. Had the chicken wontons ($11 for 5); they were good.

Very cool place with the arcade games and bowling. The food was really good. I will be back and would definitely recommend a visit.

For the fifth year, we have held our employee holiday party at Kings on Clybourn. They do a fantastic job for us each and every year. When asked, the staff has said repeatedly that they prefer bowling at Kings over any standard restaurant party. We will be back again next year!

We would recommend Kings to anyone. We hosted our 5 year old's birthday party. Both parents and kids had a wonderful time. We rented our space for 2 hours and the entire staff made it effortless for us (thx to george, jared and shawneice)! Plus the pizza was really good. The private room was perfect for about 20-30 kids/adults. 6 out of 5 stars!

Go somewhere else. Arrived at 7 and told it would be an hour to 1.5 hour wait for a lane. We spent the next 3 and a half hours watching 6 lanes sit unused, to eventually be told we wouldn’t get on that night at about 10:30. Pinstripes and Diversey lanes I would heavily recommend over kings. Don’t waste your time like we did!

Our Lincoln Common property management team hosted our holiday party at Kings and it could not have gone better! Shawneice and her colleagues made the planning a breeze and were very accommodating every step of the way. The food and drinks were great and the atmosphere was nothing but fun. I highly recommend!

I went with my family for bowling. It's a great place for family fun. There were no reservations. It was first come first serve. We ate while waiting and played some of the free games. The pizza was good. We took the rest of our food with us when it was time to bowl. Parking in the lot was $5 for 5 hours.

Always like stopping in here for a quick drink and a bite when I’m nearby. Last time I was there the bartender Colin remembered what I usually get and took great care of me! Can’t wait to come back and try the bowling sometime.

Kings is a decently large bar / restaurant, with a small amount of bowling lines. The staff is somewhat friendly, but the food and drinks are expensive. The lanes themselves are OK, but the return machines scuff up the balls pretty bad. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend bringing your own balls.

Great place for entertainment but I guess just because is in the north side that their prices are too high!!! Red Robin gives you double the size of the this burger for the same price with unlimited fries!!! The fries here cost $2.99 and all they give you is just a hand full of fries!

They don't take reservations for bowling lines, it's first come first serve and for a saturday night, the wait can be as long as 2 hours. They have few other things that can be done while waiting but it can get boring for 2 hours. So plan to just eat dinner there to save time.
