We decided to try this La Porchetta with our young family and were quite underwhelmed by the food quality. We usually eat at the Caroline Springs La Porchetta which has better quality food than what we were dished up on this occasion. The older waitress who worked here was very friendly and kind - always checking on our entree which took a while to get to the table. The real disappointment was when my 9 year old son wanted to swap a 10 dollar note for some change to use the toy vending machines. He approached the young waitress at the counter and to my shock, he was brushed off quite abruptly and told there was no change. I wouldn't have a problem if this was genuine and he was told in a compassionate manner. However, it was evident that there was a unofficial no change policy. The owner of the establishment was standing right next to the waitress when this occurred. When we went to pay for our meals, the same waitress was ripping $2 coins out of a brand new coin roll and clunking them into the till. Because of this my husband asked if we could change a note and she still proceeded to tell us they had no change for the machine. Quite disappointing after we just paid for quite a bit of food. My son left very upset - we won't be back. Caroline Springs La Porchetta is the more superior choice.

Not impressed at all. It’s been years since I came to La Porchetta, because of the quality of the food, and I won’t be back again anytime soon. I had chicken Parma, which was borderline raw chicken, the chips tasted like cardboard, the aperol spritz was flat. Not happy. In response to your reply La Porchetta, no we definitely weren’t happy, but didn’t want to keep complaining. We just wanted to hurry up and leave. You kept coming to the table, which was annoying, we were frustrated at the quality of the food. You were telling us about coffee and dessert whilst we are trying to eat!! I appreciated the “new” drink replacement, which took forever to come, and should have been delicious from the start. I understand you want your customers to enjoy their time there, but unfortunately it wasn’t a positive experience for us. And as stated earlier in my review, this has been my previous experiences also (at other La Porchetta’s) I’m sorry if that’s not what you want to hear, it’s frustrating on both sides.

I made myself a google account specifically because I wanted to write a review for La Porchetta Sydenham, I had just collected a medium vegetarian pizza, opened it in the car, and picked up a random slice to give to my 3 year old in the back seat, as I lifted it up and moved my arm to pass it to her, I saw it.. a BLACK, CURLY, THICK, SHORT hair with a white tip. Immediately feeling nauseas and disgusted I grabbed the box and grabbed my daughter and headed inside to calmly and kindly show them what was weaved into the cheese. The young Italian guy (with an accent) at the counter proceeded to tell me it couldn’t have possibly come from the chefs, I asked why, he said because they were bald... I look over at the open kitchen only realising yes, he was correct, which meant something worse, the hair came from another body part. I will never in my life eat from any La Porchetta again and neither will the people around me.

Went to La Porchetta just recently on Saturday night. Ordered the risotto but what I got was definitely not a risotto. Our food of pastas and my risotto came out in about 5min after ordering. My risotto had the appearance of something resembling a fluffy chinese fried rice with chunks of chicken and mushroom thrown in. There was little flavour, dry with virtually no creaminess or sauce, you could tell it wasn't cooked together that the pieces were just mixed in after cooking. I can honestly say it was the absolute worst risotto i've had. Maybe their other food is ok at this place. I tried some of my family members pasta which was ok. And I believe they are more known for pizzas so maybe that's what i shouldve ordered. Not up to standard if you ask me or maybe the chefs on duty that night were clueless on how to make a risotto and sent out a meal unprepared.

Wow - where do I start. Attended La Porchetta tonight with my three young boys (7, 5 and 4) as hubby had to work back late… Always stressed to take the boys out by myself and you just prey they behave… We we’re then greeted by Michelle. What an amazing lady. She helped get our order in quickly, had some great communication with my boys encouraging them to behave and enjoy their dinner, then even took them over so they could pick their own ice cream flavours. It was so beautiful to be so welcomed as a family, engaged and have a really lovely conversation with the staff member… seriously what a wonderful welcoming venue.. recommend for everyone.. ohh and the food was amazing… it was the WHOLE Package..only thing which would top it off would be an indoor play area ;) hint hint Michelle you totally made our night - thank you for being such a lovely welcoming REAL person ….

I wish there could be any zero star rating. This place doesn't deserve even one star. Worst Italian food I ever had. I ordered arancini and garlic burshetta in starters. Arancini was served ice cold, and the cheese inside wasn't even melted or warm. It was all.frozen from inside. Bruchetta was so poorly made. Bread was like coles woollies bread. And this is not all , then in mains my partner order chicken and fries. There was big hair in that. Lucky we saw that before we start. The main I ordered, I didn't feel like eating after all this. So unhygienic place. Even it was very quit at time just two tables and service was so slow. I won't recommend this place to any one. I spoiled my eve and.money both. They were not even sorry for that. No compensation at all. I have wasted my money and evening.

The service was great, atmosphere was pretty damn good too! My partners pesto was very oily in that pesto taste was masked by the abundance of oil. I had gnocchi ragu, the sauce was lacklustre and without flavour but the gnocchi melted in my mouth and the beef was fantastic. But the sauce REALLY let it down. But don't get me wrong, nothing tasted bad, everything tasted good, the serving size was great and we would for sure come back again to try different dishes!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Porchetta in Taylors Lakes. I ordered their Chicken Parmigiana, and I was not disappointed in the slightest. The portion was generous, and the chicken was perfectly cooked, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. I opted to replace the napoli sauce for the mexicana sauce, it was rich and flavorful, the quality of ingredients used was evident in every bite. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, cozy ambiance, coupled with friendly, attentive staff. It's clear that they take pride in their work and care about their customers' dining experience.

Food was okay. The hostess that found us our seat was kind and helpful. Went ahead and ordered our food. Came out quick. We had a gnocchi carbonara, which was sadly bland and tasted mostly of cream. Also ordered a spaghetti bolognese, which was nice to get into but unfortunately found a hair in the side of the bowl. Mentioned it to the owner which they then promptly replaced with a fresh meal. Ordered a prosciutto pizza which was delicious. But unfortunately had lost my appetite. When leaving, the hostess that was finding our table was rude, very uninterested, and unprofessional. But overall the food was average,As compared to Italian based restaurants, I was expecting a little more from the food based on the price.

We came in with a party of 14, There was a miscommunication at the time of booking regarding the amount of people we were booking for and when we arrived realised we did not have enough space on the table for the amount of people we had. we spoke to the staff and the issue was quickly and easily resolved and we were seated at another table with enough room for us all. The staff were kind and efficient, I understand the difficulty in serving a large party of people but they handled it amazingly. The food was really great and we didn’t have a problem with any of the dishes. The restaurant was nicely setup and this was easily the best experience I have had at any La Porchetta venue. I would definitely come back again.

Extremely loud ambience. Food was okay; average quality and taste. The service was nowhere near good enough (absolutely not expecting 5 star service, but it was just not good enough). We had to ask for cutlery (spoons - twice), a drinking glass (twice - as we were one short), our table water (which we ordered during drinks order), parmesan cheese for the kids spaghetti (twice). I've put in the word "twice", because we'd ask for these things, wait 5 to 10 more minutes and they wouldn't come. It was busy, but when this happens, you must have 1/ well-trained staff and 2/ enough staff.

We had my nephew's Baptism celebration here over the weekend and honestly, we couldn't fault the level of customer service that we received. The staff let us attend the restaurant the night before to set a couple of things up and nothing was too difficult. They were more than happy to assist us and facilitate any requests we had. The staff were very accommodating and friendly throughout the entire process, from booking, right through until we left :) Food came out quickly which was great as we were a large group. Pizzas were fresh and full of toppings. A massive shout out and thanks to the Watergardens Team! We appreciate you!

Update: today I ordered delivery and did a group order on uber eats. They forgot my order completely. I tried calling, the phone was answered then straight on hold, not even a hello. Previous 4 star review.. Today was quite an improvement since my last visit a year ago when I rated at 1 star. Food was delivered fast even though it was busy and I hadn't booked. We got the table we wanted and staff were friendly. Would be 5 stars, however, we did order a bottle of wine and the girl asked if we wanted glasses.. took a few minutes to get those glasses. Otherwise, definitely recommended.

I don’t normally right these reviews but felt I had to write a review and express my gratitude as the meals we had where absolutely beautiful. I took the whole family , we all had different meals from Pizza to Parmas, Seafood and most entrees and the price was really affordable. The meals where on the table in no time with the most nicest staff, so polite and accommodating. I truly can not speak more highly of the chefs and the team of staff. Went on Saturday for dinner. The mains were nothing special but their desserts were disgusting. I order the mixed berries pancakes. Got one stale cold pancake and the berries were off. Absolutely amazing! Hubby and I had a quick meal here before our movie and the food was on point! Serving sizes are massive and the kitchen took care of my allergies without batting an eyelid! My family and I had dinner there on a Sunday night. The customer service was great and we had no complaints about the food! We were in a rush, and called to preorder the food. Even though it was an unusual request, they made sure the food was ready on time! We will definitely be back!!

Such great service at our dinner here. Food was served hot and delicious and great portion size. Our waitress was very attentive and understanding of our little one. Definitely returning!

What a fantastic restaurant. Service was friendly, attentive and fast. Atmosphere is lovely and food is generous and delicious! As someone with many allergies their vegan menu is fantastic and they were very accommodating. Couldn't fault a thing, we'll be back!

5 stars even though they forgot to hand one of two pizzas to the delivery guy the other day. Pizzas are top notch (if they arrive ) and veal parmigiana goes alright

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! The staff at this restaurant are so friendly, service is amazing and the food was great quality at an affordable price. I am so glad that la porchetta Sydenham is a local convenient option for my family.

Unfortunately not a great experience tonight. Food was ok, as I expected at La Porchetta. Ordered drinks with our meal, didn't arrive with meals or within 5 mins after. Asked waiter for our drinks, said they would get them. 5 mins later

Our preferred La Porchetta store. Always seems to have the best made pizzas. Clean and attentive staff. Wide open and well lit. Some locations opt for darker lighting gor some reason.
