"I shopped there just before closing"
"Outdated lil shopping centre but everything convenient is in this plaza from the post office with the friendly helpful staff to the awesome kind helpful coles supermarket team to the priceline pharmacy where the folks go out of their way to help you the barber shop the corner cafe the continental stores, hairdressers I do all that i need to do in one trip! I just wish the toilets were in better condition and cleaned regularly"
"It's small and feels seedy"
I've always been a little creeped out by this shopping centre but it's really not bad. It's old and could use some updating, for sure, but the staff are friendly, everyone seems to know everyone and it has a couple of very cool shops. The fishing shop/bargain shop has just had a huge injection of products. They've had to add shelving between the aisles in order to display the surplus stock and there is certainly a bargain to be found in here. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating and I have a look around when i pop into the centre roughly once a week. They always have some new items and definitely some handy gadgets at great prices. Suits me whilst supporting local business.
In serious need of a facelift the layout and Carpark are some of the oldest I've seen especially in metro area. I've seen billboards up lately though which I guess means this little shopping strip is finally going to get the upgrade it's in desperate need of. Apart from the ancient design there is a supermarket , atm, pharmacy, pizza shop bakery cafe green grocer tobacconist sports shop , there is a bottle o down the other end but I rarely go down that side of the shops so i can't tell you what else is down there ♀️ it has most of the basics tho
I shopped there just before closing. I got some last minute presents, chocs and vouchers, had a hair cut in the ladies parlor because the mens barbar had a couple waiting. The Asian lady did a great job - I didn't just want a buzz cut - very happy at $13. They are closest to the bottle shop where I picked up supplies and a nice red wine gift pack while I waited for my fish and chips to cook. Well worth the drive to McKimmies st instead of Epping plaza.
Outdated lil shopping centre but everything convenient is in this plaza from the post office with the friendly helpful staff to the awesome kind helpful coles supermarket team to the priceline pharmacy where the folks go out of their way to help you the barber shop the corner cafe the continental stores, hairdressers I do all that i need to do in one trip! It's small and feels seedy. Although, I'm not sure that's warranted, i.e. actual safety. Plenty of car parking spaces. The Coles is generally buzzing which makes it feel less seedy, but the rest is pretty quiet especially the other end of the shopping plaza. When there's Lalor and Thomastown town centres and Epping Plaza not far away, it's not an attractive option for anything other than a quick grocery or post office run.
The Plaza sure could use a touch up inside and out, it looks the same as it did the first time I went there (about 15 yrs ago!). I was glad the Bargain shop was still there, I spent too much time in there the owners are friendly and helpful - only issue I think needs to be fixed - they need to get EFTPOS! Coles staff were friendly. And on the way out, a slice of pizza ☺️
Lalor Plaza is convenient at times when I don't need to do a big shop.. It's well overdue for a makeover though but it offers most of the staples ie Coles, Chemist, Post office, Newsagent and takeaway and bakery options..Plenty of parking in fact so much parking it's amazing the shopping centre hasn't expanded at all and reclaimed some of it...
Lalor plaza shopping center Always been the same nothing much has changed just big enough for the community around the area I visited the place it is clean and tidy with Coles Supermarkets as the center stage with small stores inside ,few eating places around ,very good staffing services ,massive parking area with buses connects from here.
Pokey and dark and not very clean. The parking lot is uneven, and there is not really all that much here. Felt pretty claustrophobic in my opinion. There is a small cooler, and a couple of good pizza/kebab places, etc. But generally wouldn't come here for my shopping, only really for those fast food restaurants.
Lalor Plaza is great. It has everything you need.love going to fruit and veg shop,Coles, priceline, post office to pay bills, bakery, buying takeaway, hairdresser's.It is relaxing, (especially if the kids are being good)plenty of parking, friendly people and staff, public toilets and always access to a trolley.
This place needs a face lift. Its old and tired so are most of the shops within this plaza. Huge land woukd and could have Potential to do it up. Nothing overly huge but just a freshen up with some added shops and to add to the convenience for the area and coles is old and small.
Impressively large car park which is good as shopping centre carparks are notorious for damaging your car in. The centre itself is old school with a local community feel. It houses a variety of different stores such as liquor, deli, Turkish
Old-school and love it. No frills place with quality businesses. My favourite is the Lalor Hub Burek. Lots of parking. Will get an upgrade in the future for sure. Bakery has a great selection and the butchers have an even more amazing range.
Yeah its old and tired and hasnt had a renovation since the 80s but you know..i sort of like it. The little cafe has nice food and pretty good coffee. The middle eastern bakery has some tasty morsels and the fishing shop thingy has plenty
My local shopping mall a little bit of everything good takeaways good Vietnamese bakery and butchers good staff at coles chemist post office newsagent lotto hair dressers both mens & womens &2 shop good computer shop and really good
Small shopping centre that had the basics for what you need. Opposite the local primary school, there is plenty of parking here. Supermarket, bakery, post office, pharmacy - the essentials. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly.
The place is small but you can get everything you need from Filipino shop, butcher, fruit & veggie shop, pizza shop, delicatessen, Coles, etc. The place is homely to me. The shop owners and shoppers are friendly.
Dodgy place. Freezers at Coles didn't even have doors so produce was icy and defrosting plus fruit was mouldy and rubbish all over the place. Wouldn't go here again even though it's 2 mins to my family's house
Very small and not looked after. People in Lalor deserve a better Plaza with more facilities like toilets to be seen and found easier. Aside from the butcher shop and the deli the plaza is really depressing.
Everything feels old and fun down and the coles is less than half the size of a normal coles. If you can go to Epping, Bundoora, South Morang are all better than this 1960s shopping centre
It is a very small shopping centre but I prefer my shopping centres that way, means less crowds. I like the ethincal shops in the plaza, it’s giving old school vibes. I love that.
I do my grocery shopping here daily. Sometimes twice daily. Sometimes even thrice daily. Sure, the whole plaza looks a little tired, but the deli and the bakeries are excellent.
Don't leave anything even slightly of value in your car. If you drive anything newer than a '98 Toyota camry, you may want to just walk to the shops. Good pizza and good bottlo
It was almost closing and 1 of the workers helped me find everything I was looking for so I cld get my shopping as quick as possible. He didn't have to, but I appreciated it.
Lalor plaza is just ok for those living nearby Coles is there as is Greengrocer as well as News tattslotto its a clean place tho not tht intresting for me.
Great little local shopping centre. Amazing quality food on offer. Plus brings back a lot of memories playing video games after school …
Scummiest plaza in the area, the Woolworths also has a super limited selection. Avoid and go to uni hill if you want a present shopping experience
Friendly staff in Cole's and post-office. Only In fruit shop the staff's they don't know how to talk to their customers and they are not Friendly.
I don't know why but there is always a bad smell at the entrance. Does not have much shops, I recommend coming here for a quick shop at Coles.
3 independently different deli's, the best mix of multicultural bakeries, post office, supermarket and more... a great shopping precinct.
Less shops are available. Most of shops are not much tidy I didn’t felt to shopping. they have big Coles centre and few bakery shops..
Small lical Shopping Mall. Carpark not the easiest to get in and out of. Has the basics a supemarket, baker, general store type shops.
Good parking, a bit of everything available, Coles, 2 X nail salons, 2 X tobacconists, 3 x hair dressers, bargain shop, pharmacy etc
Great little shopping centre, love Josephine's pantry deli, wonderful and very friendly staff. Always willing to help.great prices.
The salon's commitment to continuous learning and innovation ensures they're always at the forefront of hair coloring trends.
It was pretty average and nothing special, I just popped into the local Coles supermarket to pick up some mike and snacks
Only been to bottleshop recently but otherwise good place to shop and get all your household grocery needs.
A bit old but ok to get groceries from Coles. There's a fruit shop, Asian, priceline, fruit and veg shop.
Love the Bakery and the Bargain Shop. Sorry to see Stan's Sport's closing up. Been there forever.
Nice little Centre with Coles and a very busy Greengrocer. Pizza ain't bad either.
Really good and handy shopping center. Plenty of parking and easy access.
Nice place with great culture. Needs investment to update facilities
Everything that you need at great prices, very friendly atmosphere
I often visit the Chemist here, very prompt and personal service.
Never been here, but sure it has all one needs, even tomato sauce
Best Island Grocer Everyday low prices Best quality Best service

Relaxing environment, Great place to shop, Plenty of parking
Good place to visit and spend sometime, has numerous shops
Love it close to home and the staff are very helpful
Old shopping mall. Lots of closed shops and smelly
Quiet suburban shopping mall. Good deli & cafe.
Can't really complain everyone is nice to me
Time travel back to the 70s here lol
