Gavin is a complete rogue trader. He started work on my roof at the beginning of January and I was still without a roof until 16 th March. He took my deposit and money for materials very quickly, did two short days work and then stopped working or returning my calls, contacting me after I chased him for ages to insist he would return next day etc. Obviously he had no intention of returning to the job and left me with half a front roof and no slates at all on the back. At the end of February things were desperate and I now have severe water damage to my house due to the lack of roof. He left just the felting on which was damaged by wind and rain as any roofer could anticipate if left unslated for 8 weeks. I have had to find a new roofer and pay for the scaffolding to remain up as he had not paid the scaffolding company . The new roofer has confirmed that the work completed was poor quality and he should not be trading. Please stay away from this man as he is not an honest tradesman and I am pursuing my money for work not completed and damages through court. I would not want anyone else to have the same horrific experience with this disgrace of a trader.

Absolutely would never recommend this chap. “Gavin”. Came out to do a roof repair for me, quoted me £2000, to which I paid with no questions asked on completion. Chased for an invoice, no response. A week later, roof was still leaking. A month after chasing this lad constantly and being told he’ll be there “first thing in the morning”, he eventually turned up. Apparently carried out a second repair, which left the roof worse than the first original damage. This has been going on for 3 months now. He has now totally stopped answering calls and messages. Sold himself the job talking about his “10 year guarantee” yet has not come round since the second time of his failed repair. Would not touch this business with a barge pole. Highly unprofessional, can not complete his work and tells lies very fluently. Took my money and has disappeared. Stay away from this chap at all costs. Absolutely Horrendous service. He will most likely respond to this telling a load of lies. After reading the other reviews, it’s certain this lad has a tendency to disappear after “completing” a job and being paid. If this wasn’t a google review, I’d have a lot more to say! Thief.

Did a good job left everything clean and tidy however said he had cleaned the gutter out and when I inspected it it was full of cement bits took me a whole day to clean out Then I had a leak and took him 3 months to come and repair I then found another cracked tile where he had repaired and started calling him in June this year have lost count of how many times I've rang and he has promised to come and as yet still waiting and now at end of October So overall he does a decent job but absolutely hopeless on coming back re his guarantee So looking like I will have to get another roofer Thought I'd post an after the first post Was contacted re the above by Gavin asking if it was okay to come and fix the problem the following week I answered yes but just as before he didn't show up So got another roofer in and paid £120 for the repair Plus Gavin didn't need to ask if okay to come as I'm always at home he could have just arrived so not happy with having to pay for something that should be covered in his guarantee

This company came after I called my insurance company following an emergency leak in the roof. Gavin Phillis was very personable and explained the problem that had caused the leak and went the extra mile to ensure I had a repair that would withstand any heavy rain,...Because it was bad news for me that after only 2 days in my new property I needed a complete new roof because the laths were brittle and worn and in places completely degraded. Because of his professional yet empathetic approach and very reasonable quote for the job in what was a very stressful time for me I decided to employ Gavin and his team to carry out the full repair. Gavin and his team were both punctual and hard working just getting on with the job which was finished in 4 days. The whole team were very respectful of my property and very pleasant and polite throughout this time. Gavin is a very experienced roofer and his enthusiasm and knowledge for his trade are very evident! I would highly recommend this company

Gavin has left 2 pensioners without a fire due very poor work and blocking the chimney with rubble, refuses to put it right, and refuses to give a receipt for the insurance company. DO NOT USE. Following a reply to my review, Your work is shoddy at best, the roof still leaks, the chimney is blocked due to rubble from removal of chimney, despite several requests you refuse to put the faults right and have refused to provide a receipt for the work done for their insurance. If you do not like the review, then you should have done the job properly in the first place, my review is based on FACT, therefore not only is it FAIR but it is also Reasonable. Stating my review is Ridiculous just goes to show what you think of this matter.

Flat dormer roof needed redoing. What I really liked was Gavin's honesty. When he came to do the quote, he went up onto the roof and gave me an honest assessment of what I needed doing. As strange as it sounds, other companies that quoted for me didn't actually look in detail at the roof; they just fired an unnecessarily high figure at me! However, on this occasion I was informed of exactly what I needed to have done. Gavin sent me regular picture messages as he did the job, the work was complete within a couple of days of receiving the quote, and it all looks really good and comes with a 15-year guarantee. Really quick process, highly approachable and easy to contact. Would definitely recommend.

Genuinely the worst service and professionalism I've ever come across. Me and my partner are first time buyers and we were charged £150 to fix our roof, 4 days later we still had water coming in our bedroom. He was meant to come back the day after at 10am, never turned up and took till the next day to answer his phone. We were told we couldn't have a refund and when we asked to have an invoice so we could claim back through our insurance it took another week to get this. The way I was spoken to was disgusting and so unprofessional. 2 other companies came to look at the roof and we were told by both that no repair work had been carried out. Please be careful using this company.

Would never use this company again!! Put new roof on a flat roof extension January 2020 but unfortunately the rain water did not run into the gutter but down the side of the house. The company were informed about this and we were told they would come and have a look. Despite only working around the corner the guy who runs the company did not come and look at the problem and even got nasty with my husband when he was asked fr a 2nd time to come and to also give the promised guarantee. We got neither! Husband had to put the job right himself!! I would have given this company NO stars but this site would not let me.

I selected Leeds & Bradford Roofing to re-set some ridge tiles based on the reviews. I also wanted the corrugated roof on my garage replacing. I had researched various kinds of lightweight materials but was advised that as the structure was solid block-work a tiled roof would be a better job. How right Gavin was. The result was a quality job completed by a hardworking professional team who also cleaned up and removed all the old materials. Sincere thanks to all the team; Gavin Jamie & Ryan a great job guys.

Gavin's response was prompt and he offered very reasonable quotation for repair of our roof. He with his team came on time and went extra miles as after completing the agreed job. He noticed couple of bits-and-bats which needed repair which he did with the left over cement. Gavin offered 10 years of guarantee of the repair work. They cleaned the area and collected all pieces of cement and mud. I am very satisfied with their service. Definitely use their service in future if I will need to.

Would stay away from this company or this man called Gavin. First of all, does not complete his work, gives false hope about turning up every second day, secondly does not answer his phone for 2 weeks and comes back an says “I was arrested so didn’t have my phone”. £2000 spent on a repair which is incomplete. He now refuses to answer any calls or texts. It was a commercial job and he has been extremely unprofessional and has left the roof in a worse condition than before. Avoid.

I phoned this company on Sat afternoon and arranged a time to come to my house ( Sunday lunch) they turned up at the time they said they would and walked me through what was wrong and how it needed fixing, He gave me the price for the work and i asked when he could come to do it, he said “ i’ll do it now for you,”you really can’t say fairer than that, Pleasent to deal with and should i need a roofer again they will be the first company i phone, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had a new roof installed by Leeds & Bradford Roofing Roofing Services in May 2016. The initial work happened smoothly. However, the new roof did have a leak, and I found it very difficult over the autumn to get Gavin and husband crew out to fix the leak, even though the roof was covered by a 25-year guarantee. Gavin did eventually carry out the repairs on 17th Jan 2017, and I'm now waiting on some heavy rain to see if repair has solved the issues.

Gavin responded quickly to my request for a repair to a section of my extension roof. He assessed the damage and explained the work to be carried out. He arrived promptly at the time agreed. The work was carried out the same day and photos were sent to my phone when completed. Good value, straightforward and work completed so there's no more leak. Thanks Gavin and team. I appreciated the speed and professionalism you displayed.

Really can’t understand the negative reviews. Gareth and the team are great lads and I should know they were on my job for several weeks and completed a full roof on a massive detached house with slates not tiles! Slating requires proper skills and these guys were fantastic! On time and delivered on everything agreed. Worked through xmas and new years eve to finish ahead of time! Proper craftsman and highly recommend

I phoned Gavin and he came to view the job immediately. His quote was reasonable. Gavin and his team installed fibreglass roof on a dormer within four days from the initial visit for which we were grateful as the roof needed replacing urgently. Our driveway was cleaned well on completion of the job. They provided a guarantee for the job for 20 years. Thank you Gavin and the team. I am very pleased with my new roof

Total fraud! I asked Gavin to fix a roof leak at my property, he promised to do the work 2 days later. However, after taking my significant deposit, he used many reasons to delay the work and finally admitted he had no ideas of the whereabout of his contractors. He has not done any work to the house and has not returned my deposit and now not returned my phone calls/text. He has been reported. Beware

This guy, Gavin (i.e. Leeds Bradford Roofing) is totally fraud. Very quick to get deposit money but after that very quick disappear with the money. After long delays without no progress with him, I have to ask a local firm who fixed my leaking roof within a week, no hassle. Be careful with your money, this Gavin guy is a straightforward Con, who has been reported to the police.

Have used Gav a few times over the years and he’s nothing short of professional and reasonable. The work is really high quality and if you have any roofing issues he’s the man to call with his experience. He’s fixed a couple of roof leaks on a few of my properties and have had no issues or complaints from the tenants. Brilliant roofer. Hassan

Gavin and his team have a 'no messing' attitude! Quick to come and quote (which was well under what I was quoted by another roofer). Listened to what I wanted and gave advice. We made arrangements do the work and everything ran v smoothly-so much so they even finished the job early! V efficient. Strongly recommend!!

Avoid at all cost, did my mother's roof took her money she then had a leaky roof that he refused to come fix despite it being under 20 year guarantee, we emailed, called, text, sent recorded delivery letters and he stil avoided correcting the issue Very poor customer service.they just blank you Avoid them

Gavin did a full re-roof prior to me purchasing the house, he did a great job. We started to get a leak in the bathroom, Gavin came out swiftly and identified that the problem was the neighbours gutter being blocked causing the water to flow over onto our roof. He sorted the issue for us free of charge.

My home insurance sent them out to do a patch up job on my roof, and I ended up instructing them privately to come and fix the whole thing properly. They came out within a couple of days, got the job done and finished, and cleared and tidied everything up nicely. No more roof leak!

Called out in an emergency, quick response within an hour. Managed to deal with the issue as well as being very informative and honest about the issues. Recommend for any roofing or guttering needs, well done to Gavin and his team for running a reliable service. Would use again.

AVOID THIS COMPANY. Not even 1 star. Was meant to have fixed a leak in my roof. Has made it worse and left me with additional issues. I've arranged numerous times for him to come back and fix the issues and he never shoes up. Now he ignores my calls.

Roofer came out with his team. Did a job on my roof. Left cement on my polycarbonate conservatory. Left bits undone. Was supposed to come and finish job but says he’s coming/doesn’t pick phone up. Called over 30 times. Wouldn’t recommend.
