I am in love with Levy Park! It's a full family park in the middle of Houston! There is a splash pad area turning off at 8 pm and great for Houston weather. The play structures are fantastic! The climbing structure was loved by my 3 year old! The wall climbing and slide were loved by my two children, 5 and 3 years old. We arrived after 7 pm, when the heat and humidity are less. There was a good crowd of people. A workout class was going on. Way to go everyone! Then the lanterns came on between the trees and they made the park look beautiful. Romantic like, almost. But it's a family park. There is a dog park, food trucks line-up on some days, and outdoor movies are shown monthly. Love the idea! There were two issues we found, though, we forgot our water bottles and the bending machines on-site were non-working. They only took credit cards and it said "too many transactions" as the error. So we went up to the only food truck on-site which sold sno-cones just to find out the personnel not available. We knocked twice, no one came out. The water fountains were not working, either. Luckily, I had a water bottle in my car and we went to get it. Parking is on the street. At the time we went we found parking across the street by the garage parking and apartment parking entrance. Definitely a ark to visit, but don't forget your water bottles !
Playground
This park was design with kids in mind. The playground is great, you'll not find the typical swings. Instead the kids enjoy an awesome climbing structure, a cool climbing wall, a ginormous concrete and super smooth slide. Which is it kept fresh by the adventurous children playing wet all over the park. There are also a few tunnels where kids can go in and out of. There are also smaller climbing hills and musical steps.
Restrooms
There are two family rooms pretty big to fit in two toddlers and a stroller and still have plenty of room. Expect them to be wet as families change their kids after they've enjoyed the splash pad.
Dog-friendliness
There is a dog park in Levy Park! It is a good size and the neighborhood doggies using it that day were loving it.
Picnic area
The park is well shaded and the lawn is a pretty good size and well kept. However, along the park you find small tables and chairs. There are also chairs lined up under the trees to lounge on.

This is actually a nice size park that caters to kidd (and dogs). I take my kids here often because they also offer a variety of activities for kiddos! If your kid likes games they offer board and card games. If your child likes to draw they have chalk available for them to draw on the sidewalk. If your child loves to read around the corner are a variety of children's books (and books and magazines for adults to enjoy as well) They have a mini size golf area, a ping pong table, huge Styrofoam blocks for kids to play and build with. There's a splash pad for kids to cool down in this Houston heat. Just so many different activities to choose from that'll keep your kids busy for a few hours. Be mindful people bring their dogs to this park as well (there's a dog play area nearby) Parking can sometimes be a hassle to find but I always park behind the restaurant (or what was the restaurant it looks to be closed down when we visited today). I wish there were more food trucks. I've been to Levy Park several times and today was the only time I saw food trucks (actually there were only 2 trucks out that looked to both be selling ice cream) Overall this is a great park for kids!

Absolutely horrible experience today. I chose to hang out a Levy park today to read and hold a conference call for work while my dad was at the medical center for a procedure. I knew it was a safe space and had a clean restroom. I parked and went into the park to use the restroom. After I exited the bathroom, I noticed the coffee shop in the park, so decided to grab a coffee. After I had purchased my coffee at Slowpokes, I walked into the park to find a chair to enjoy my morning. I read and then held a call. At 9:30 when my call was done I walked to my car and it was gone. The Operation manager towed my car. This is not a welcoming environment and they will look for any reason to fill the pockets of the tow company. Beware to not support the businesses in the park because you might get towed. $275 for a coffee and the director was apathetic to my experience. I was in the park while my car was being towed!! I was sitting inside the park for over a hour and a half. Will never come back here again.

Nice park that's centrally located with plenty of benches and sitting areas. It's pretty big and offers more than enough to keep the kids busy. There's also a Splash Pad to keep the kids cool on those Houston HOT days! The old Oak Tree in the center of the playground provides plenty of shade which is a plus. There's also a Dog playground which is nice. If you get thirsty or hungry there's always Food Trucks on-site as well. I'm not 100% certain, but I think those rotate out to provide a variety to keep everyone satisfied. The park is well kept and I like how they provide carts with different activities for the kids. The Restrooms are kept clean also, huge plus. We don't live close to this park, but if we're in the area and it's a nice day we'll do our best to visit because the kids really like it. It's definitely one of the nicest parks in the city and worth a visit. Almost forgot, plenty of parking also!

Beautiful park with plenty of cool activities for the whole family! They have a big nice playground for the kids and during the hot summer they have a water park. During the weekends they usually have a lot of different activities to offer the community that are usually free. There are so many free events, just go to their website and check their calendar. They have an area where they show movies and have little concerts. Definitely worth checking out!! We love it!! Plenty of spaces for a picnic as well. They also have different carts with activities such as coloring, blocks, and other various things to play with around the park! Parking can be a little frustrating but someone is always leaving so drive through and try again if needed. Great park to bring your dog and you can go observe the community garden while you stroll the park.

I just adore Levy park and their staff!! All the fun activities for the children and adults to do is wonderful!!! We come from Katy to enjoy everything!! My husband loves the ping pong tables the kids love the park the open space all the choices in activities to do like large uno coloring the huge blocks golf water area alludes& the good is Awesome too...cause I can get a bet n wine at the same time and relax or join in on saying jump rope puzzle games and more!!! Go and you won't regret it!!! Restaurant near buy. Luv the staff bathrobes etc... And they didn't bother me wen we took my new business photos arduous the Park!!! Kekeklozet.shop really was helpful with rules that we could & couldn't do!! Parking is limited or in garage I think, but we seem to always be blessed with parking around the perimeter of the park!!!

  • LaRanita04

I just found out about this park and I loved it! They have a dog area, they have a very mini golf, blocks for kids to play with, a foosball table, pingpong table, a reading area, and a wet area for kids. I think everytime I wanna take my daughter to a park, this will be it! It was clean and nice. Update:7-13-19.. everything here is great BUT I just found something that I really disliked. I went there on Saturday and found out they close the restrooms at 8:00pm. That is ridiculous specially during summer time where there is plenty of sunlight still at that time, kids playing and running around. A kid had to go to the restroom and one of the staff members said the parent had to take their kid across the street to a restaurant to take his kid to the restroom. That is just ridiculous.

This was our first time experiencing Levy Park!! And it was absolutely lovely! It's a smallish park but if you have little ones under 10, it's ideal for them! They have a small splash pad area, a small merry go round and hills with faux grass for your Littles to run up and down on. There is a concrete slide that is nice if your kids are wet to go down. Otherwise it is HOT HOT. There is a nice overlook that you can walk up and look out over the city. The ONLY complaint, is the restrooms. They definitely aren't getting checked by the hour that's for sure. They were clean but smelled of dirty diapers for sure. But man if they had the restrooms up to par, it would be perfect!

I play pokemon go. I went here with family and friends for a community day. It's a nice park whether you pokemon or not. Areas for children, areas for dogs, paths to walk. If you do play, multiple gyms and lots of pokestops
Playground
Nice playground AND water playground
Restrooms
Clean. Centrally located.
Dog-friendliness
They have big and small dog dog parks. They are small but shady and you can easily reach multiple pokestops. You can also walk around with your dogs. I don't have little ones, so didn't visit the playgrounds so don't know the rules over there.
Picnic area
Lots of places to sit. Also food trucks and a bar.

  • Chris Buckler

Levy Park has some of the best features of any public park I've been to. Love the available table tennis (ping pong), foosball, and other activities. Lots of chairs around the park, and feel free to move them around as needed. We were encouraged to do so since they don't allow outside furniture like lawn chairs from home.
Dog-friendliness
In addition to normal access around the park with owners, there are 2 separate dog runs for large or small dogs. A great choice if your smaller pet gets overwhelmed with the big dogs!

  • Free Britney

Definitely the best Park for families in the area. Plenty of space, clean bathrooms, food trucks, water feature, ping pong tables, giant building blocks, plenty of benches and bistro tables, the whole playing area (which is huge) has a foam like flooring that softens impact. There’s climbing walls, free activities all the time, reading areas indoor and outdoors, a solar piano, books available for everyone! This park has it all. It gets pretty crowded, but I always find free street parking.

  • Antuaneth M

I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH! It’s nice and theres a place where the kids can play. They have fun classes if you go to their website like Zumba, Yoga, Tango, etc. don’t worry it’s not just a kids park, you can walk around and explore and also enjoy the place. I’ve NEVER had a bad experience here it was always nice and fun. They have an ice cream truck and it’s really nice. you can bring your pets, just make sure you pick up any poo. Other than that I really recommend it

  • Aleena G.

Such a fun park for all ages! Kids, adults, and young teens looking to get away and be outside for a bit! I love how they have games for everyone to enjoy, and everyone uses the honor system to put them back after playing. There is also a small water park area for kids to run around during the Texas heat and enjoy! Lots of green space area for picnics, too. Parking is tough here- it’s street parking, and the garage costs money after 30 minutes.

  • Key Essense

Went here back on June 2nd, my first grandbabies birthday and had an absolute blast!!!! Waterpark was great and I couldn't believe it was FREE! All around nice environment. Kids played well with each other and parents greeted one another. It was refreshing! The restaurant, which was only moments away and in walking distance, was great as well! Our server was fantastic and the food was delish!!!! We just had a really good time. Very memorable!!!

  • Hitomi Gantt

I had been curious about this park because it seemed small but there are tons of reviews, and now I know why. There are lots of activities and some entertainments and food options, too. There is kind of a path to walk/run but not quite a real trail, and everybody was mostly busy with kids' play area or work out class. We came here around 10am on Saturday and were lucky to find someone was leaving from a free parking space.

  • Serena Biondo

This park was my childhood playground. It was a better park in my day. There was a city pool and a baseball field. Games were played and I was on the swim team. It doesnt look better from the pictures. I think the kids of my day got the better days of this park. Nobody was getting their car towed. After reading the reviews and looking at what it's turned into now I'm certain I won't go back. Sad that it's not better.

  • Christen Phillips

It's back open now which meant that it was a bit more crowded than we've seen in the past but on a beautiful day it was perfect. Lots of dogs around. Lots of families. Picnics, games, playground time. It was wonderful. Fyi, about 25% of the people were wearing masks. Most were not. Just info if you wanted to know how it was handled. Everyone was in good spirits and enjoying the nicest day we've had in a long time

  • Suniti Kukreja

Amazing park. I would give it five stars even though the play area was closed. They are doing fun and attractive things for the holidays. On a nice day like today, you can spend a lot of hours. Totally family friendly. Dogs and babies have a great time too. They have music, different activities to engage, spaces designed for you to stay close to your cohort, Live band, food, and a little holiday market.

  • jisho jose

Great family park and it’s fun for all ages. Very nice kids playground with rock wall and a small water park. They have ping pong, Mini golf, Foosball table, different carts with coloring, blocks and other interesting activities for kids. There are few food venues for sandwiches, burgers, nachos, etc no few other options in walkable distances. Lots of shade to play and relax. Clean and dog friendly park.

  • David Rivero

Family and pet oriented, this park is a great scape from the busy area. The variety of activities is a plus, with foosball table, mini putt golf turf, foam building blocks, ping-pong, board games and more. The doggy’s park has two different sections, one for bigger breeds, one for smaller (around 30-pounds). Big covered area, big open field, activities and more. Good overall park!

  • Angel Trevino

Such a unique park, love the design. We had such a great time! They have multiple activities. Very neat restrooms. A great seating area to sit and relax while the kids play. They have a great view of the full moon a must see! My son and I absolutely loved this park! ❤️ Definitely going again and again. Recommend this park for people who enjoy fresh air and views.

Park is very nice for kids has no playground but has 1 big slide with rock climbing, spinning wheel, tunnels to explore, ping pong tables and coloring/activity station Went to this park after seeing it on The Chron, Iam guessing thats why it was packed

  • Abhijna Upadhye

Nice place for kids to play. Apart from slide, merry go round, tunnels, obstacle rope climbing, they also have giant foam blocks and foosball table. Very spacious picnic area with free to use arts &crafts section, small games for kids and also a reading zone with books for all ages. Restrooms are also available. They have a dog park too.

  • Lauren Elizabeth Netherton

My baby loves the slide. My friends son escaped out the side of the play park and could have run into the street. Luckily I was watching him while she was distracted…Would be nice to have it fully gated for the little ones that are learning to walk/run but don’t know danger or spacial awareness yet and if parents aren’t watching closely

  • Jax Schaitel

It was a very nice park that we went to hang. We took my best friend's son and my two kids and boy they were busy! They climb they ran they ran some more. I like the fact that there's so many things to do in one place so they don't really get bored while they're there it was a very good place to be we will definitely be back.

  • ranjita chakrabarty

I went here seeing pics from my friend's social media post. It was looking great in pictures. The area is small but it's fun as vibe is great and they tried to put everything like small golf area, foos ball area, kids area, chain of restaurants so overall it's good weekend getaway for people who live near downtown.

  • הדס אשר בכר

Nice park but unfortunately there is no playground suitable for toddlers. The only thing we found attractive is the movies on Saturday nights and the fun activities for kids in the morning. There are limited tables and chairs in the shed. The splash pads are nice
Restrooms
Clean but there are only 2 of them

  • Cathy Albright

Great family & dog park. Love finishing visit at Slow Pokes with glass of wine! And Daisy loves the dog park!
Dog-friendliness
Best dog park for both small & large dogs! Only dog park I will take Daisy to. Owners involved & supervising pups. Feel confident dogs have been vaccinated & are well cared for.

  • Devine The

It's a very cute park. I just wish there was a little more to do other than the splash pad. We went at night. It would be nice if they added a lil out door musical area, more slides, something to do at the top of those windy stairs. Cute park tho. The kids just loved being around all the other kids.

  • Trish Trish

This park is my family's favorite. My 5 and 1 year old love this pard so much that they play there for over 4 hours every time we visited. The park is clean and safe for little ones. Many differents activities for kids to tried out. There are ice cream and food trucks park along the park too.

  • Gahriel Montague-Charles

Amazing park! It's like they cut a piece from a nice city like Manhattan or Miami and plopped it in the middle of Houston. Very nice. I would come here more often. The free wifi is amazing, and they have much food around, so you can really spend days out here if u want a change of scenery

  • A Demitri

Love this park, but none of the actual park amenities are usually open! I'm a senior sponsor, and we've utilized this park two years in a row. Each time, I was kinds disappointed. Nevertheless, the park is beautiful and clean, with a plethora of activities and open space for activities.

  • dat red raider

FULL OF COLOR!!! absolutely adore this green space. perfect for the kids with the splash pad playground, open lawns to picnic, canopy for yoga & small dog park area! also a “park bar” for the adults to grab a drink in the meantime. excellent park, glad i chose to visit this weekend.

  • Du Luu

Great little park in a busy business area. It has a small water play area, a "tree house", and a good sized green space for kids to run around in. The playground is not conventional. It has a rock climbing wall with a big slide on the other side. A hill with tunnels underneath.

  • Yessica Ibarra

I felt in love with this park, that's the first time that we visit it and we spend 2 hours there, my kids didn't want to leave. There is a very fun slide and playground, a very nice area for craft and games. If you have kids you should stop by soon. Oh and have clean bathrooms!

  • Valarie Clay

Beautiful family and dog-friendly park. Check their website for events and family fun activities. Splash pad! Be sure to walk up to the top of the treehouse Hope you enjoy the pictures of the thing we found fun and interesting. Oh, two of three eateries opening soon! …

  • Gary Yancey

I'd give Levy Park a solid five stars for its beauty and amenities. However, it's disheartening to see some parents neglecting to use the conveniently located trash cans and instead leaving dirty diapers on the ground. Let's all pitch in to keep this lovely park clean!

  • Kate L

For a relatively small city park, this place has so much. It's brilliantly designed for kids. The splash area is awesome, there is a neat boardwalk through the trees, a small rock wall, and a few other very unique features for kids (and the adults of kids) to enjoy.

  • Alison Chavez

Such a live, lovely place. There’s a nice dog park, a water park and playground for kids, a movie being projected, food trucks, you name it. Such a fun summer spot for sure. Even with so many people, the walkways were clear enough to walk a dog and not feel crowded!

  • Javier Pacheco

Great park with amenities for the entire family. The playground is good for little kids, the splash zone and slide are a lot of fun. There are washrooms and even free wifi. There are plenty of green areas to run around, do some yoga or just sit and relax.

  • Uronda Wilfred

Perfect for children!!! It was very relaxing with so much to do from ping pong, playing in water, going through concrete tunnels, walking mini hills, building blocks, etc. My 20 year old is saying she wants to go again with no one little cousin, but 2

  • Laura Araya

  • Butterfly120319

This park is great. Splash pad for kids and shady area for adults. There are games for the kids to play, books to read, and a piano. There are food trucks and a restaurant across the street. They also have movie night sometimes

Its a good family park. Stays open 24 hours. There's food, drinks. Awesome for kids. There's a dog park so you can bring the dogs out for family fun. Was a great place to hang out. Couple got engaged. It was too cute.

  • Yury Pazniak

Lovely park. Free onsite parking. The park is mostly designed for kids and dogs but a hungry adult can find their place here too. Free ping pong, golf mini course plenty of space to sit in the shade and chill or eat.

  • Brent Duvall

Such a great park! I wish there were more parks like this in the Houston area. 1) fenced in 2) great shade for parents and children 3) restrooms on site. 4) activities for kids to do 5) food within walking distance.

  • Nathan Gutierrez

My nieces love this place! It's extremely safe with lots of shade. There are always food options. My only complaint is that there isn't a huge amount of parking but every time we go we manage to find a spot.

  • Gloria Rios
