My partner was on his own and feeling a bit under the weather for his birthday, so I arranged to have flowers delivered as a surprise for him. Lillypad was previously located just up the road from our home so I was fairly familiar with what the store had to offer and I wanted to support a small local business, so these guys were my first choice. I ordered the Protea arrangement as I know my partner likes native flowers the most, then waited excitedly for his surprise. The flowers arrived shortly after lunchtime and were hand delivered by a lovely, warm and friendly gentleman - my partner specifically asked me to mention him in this review as he was a big part of the great experience we had. He made him smile on a day when he wasn't feeling great and that kind of thing goes a long way. The arrangement is stunningly beautiful and even a full week later has shown no signs of wilting or drooping. As a fun little addition, it turns out that I'd picked the perfect arrangement - my partner is South African and was quick to point out that the protea is native to his home country, making this arrangement just that little bit more special to him. All in all, a wonderful experience ordering with Lillypad and we will be sure to use their services again in the future. I'm glad you asked because I'm going to make some useful suggestions. My daughter gave birth late Thursday and I tried to send flowers first thing Friday . No can do, disappointingly, the football holiday, I don't blame you for that. You let me know promptly that they were sent on the alternate schedule early Saturday. I spent $400 on the flowers and like many, because it was interstate and remote , I didn't actually see what I got for my money, when I ordered it or when it was sent. What I suggest you could do to your own benefit is send all purchasers a photo of what you sent to the recipient when you confirm delivery.. Not a hard task. Lillypad provided all the florals for our wedding and they were perfect! From my first chat with Lilly I knew we would go with her. She completely understood what I wanted and made everything so seamless and easy! We hired silk florals for our arbour, bridal table and floral chandelier. When I mentioned to Lilly our ceremony was quite short and I wanted to continue to enjoy the arbour florals for longer she worked to ensure these were on stands that could be easily moved post ceremony and repositioned inside the reception. She also created the most beautiful bouquets, boutonnières, corsages and flower petals. Everything was perfect!
