Let me preface this review by saying that I am 36 years old and my wife is 34 and we look our age. We have been here several times before and this has never happened. In any case, we grabbed a bottle of wine and went up to the counter to pay. I had my ID on me and my wife didn’t, we live around the corner and I was driving. My wife had the bottle with her and she gets asked for her ID. She was about to show a photo of her passport on her phone when this girl rudely says “no, I need your physical ID.” I said, it’s ok I’m buying it, but she refused to sell us the bottle of wine without both of us showing physical IDs. My wife became a bit annoyed with the whole situation and said they just lost a customer when the girl laughed and literally said “too easy!” and walked away from us! It seemed like this employee couldn’t wait not to sell us the product. I don’t get it! The whole situation was so bizarre and unnecessary! Management needs to do something about this ASAP! Won’t be coming back here again, that is for sure.
only shop here when I have to. they never have bags and if they do the staff roll their eyes when they hand it to ya. the nz lady, I too found her rude etc.but my wife said she was lovely etc. to her.. one day I was able to show the nz lady kindness and helped her. she has been sweet with me ever since. some people have been through alot and put up walls. so maybe give her a break. it is a weird store thou. the staff are rude at times. and the no bags issue.... if I wasn't lazy and my wife's wine wasn't there on special half the time I wouldn't go there... lol
The NZ lady has no sense of friendliness or courteous customer service. Such a disgrace working for such an awesome company. 15 years of working in customer service and I never came across such arrogance from someone who’s main priority is to serve customers in a warm and friendly manner. I hope nothing but the worse for this disgusting human. On lookers and by standers where also shocked by the way she spoke and behaved. I hope management at LiquorLand fires this lady and may contact me back for further details.
The crew do an absolute amazing job, I have been shopping here for years. Every time I go there I am met by Elisha and her crew with such gorgeous service and leave with a smile. Thank you and keep up the amazing work. This is edited review (17/01/23) every one of the new staff members I have meet over the last few years are amazing and that is due to great management that is there. 10 out of 10 for me ! If you live in the area pop your head I they will make you feel like family.
The lady manager here on the weekend is very racist and she is very rude to international people, she asked me to get out of the store and didn’t serve me any alcohol even with the id. She does not greet customers and does not have any customer service skills. i think she needs yo go through her customer service training again. So dissatisfied with her service, please train her before she trains anyone else.
The store is ok. No worries there. The staff is very helpful and polite. But this wine I got to just "test" was horrible. It was just so bad. Felt like please don't sell these type of stuff in your store, it'll ruin your good reputation too. Please make an official complaint to Yellow Tail about this wine. The rest of their range is good. Especially the Big Bold Red.
Staff are always polite, BUT why does Liquorland have a policy of selling plastic bags for loose cans, bottles, l asked staff for a box, was told we don't keep empty boxes, all other liquor chains offer boxes, are we supposed to be reducing plastics bags impact on the environment, not good enough.
I am absolutely disgusted. My 18 year old son went to buy alcohol for my father and hos gfs dad and because I went in with him and also had my 15 year old daughter who has had medical issues, tourettes syndrome and severe anxiety they refused to serve my son. HE IS LEGALLY ALLOWED TO BUY ALCOHOL!!
I’ve only just recently moved to the area with my family and this will definitely be my local bottle shop The store manager Elicia made us feel welcome the moment we entered so knowledgeable with a bubbly personality nothing was too much trouble .liquor land is very lucky to have her and her team
Normally don't leave reviews but after reading some of the previous ones thought it was time. I've been shopping here for several years and have found the staff to be friendly and courteous. Never in this time have I witnessed racism or rudeness from any of the staff.
Worst liquorland I’ve ever been to!! Witness racism in its trusted t form on grand final day!!! LIQUORLAND DO BETTER!!!! Your staff need anti racism training and cultural awareness training. Disgusting behaviour from a female employee!!!
This is my local bottle-o, it’s not always the cheapest, but I’ve only ever had great customer service. The ‘NZ Lady’ has always been absolutely lovely. Give the lady a break, she works hard, just doing her job!
Can't fault this store! There's a huge variety of wines, beers and spirits at competitive prices. The staff are always happy, welcoming and will go out of their way to help you when needed. A great team!
Not bad prices and selection however the NZ looking lady is super rude and keep asking me for ID however I’m 32 years old. Never get asked by any other staff members at the store besides her.
I couldnt find Russian standart vodka, but Nelson was a very proffesional employee who has helped me find another brand which i was very happy with. 5 + plus for amazing customer service
The staff is absolutely rude. When I asked for A suggestion of a drink she said she she doesn’t know. Anyone who works in a liquor store should know something about alcohol!!!
Went to this branch yesterday and Alisha was super helpful and very friendly with helping me out with my shopping, made my experience with them amazing! Thank you Alisha!
That new zealand looking lady needs to find a differant job...rude and unprofessional. Very disappointed. Went there today and she served me. Wont go back to this store.
Each visit here has been friendly and helpful. The staff are all great, Scott has been on duty for most of my visits and would recommend him for a great experience.
