I don't know what is worse - Coles attaching a liquorland express so limited stock and no discounts or specials to a regular Coles in a major residential area or staff that are gruff, lazy, slovenly and are very clear that they will do the bare minimum required unless pushed through customer requests. Dan Murphy's in QV is a fantastic place and the place to go for all you alcoholic needs, however if in a rush, the BWS in the middle level of escalators at the Collins st entrance to SX usually gets the job done. (and no, I don't work for Woolworths - I just lived across the road from this coles and liquorland and sick of their third rate crap!)

The man who looks like a Mid-Eastern person (Black) has a very bad customer service. Me and my friend came in and the security didn’t check our ID cuz we all look like 25yrs+. When we get ready to pay our drinks, the black guy started to show his bad attitude to us and want our physical ID. We showed our vaccination certificate and photo ID cuz it’s the COVID time we try to protect our stuffs. he still consistently needed our physical ID. So bad attitude and plz fire him.

Service was terrible! After the purchase was concluded with the receipt being printed, the staff asked me for ID. He should know that ID is always asked before a customer can start the purchase. Not at all knowledgeable!!! Suggest your staff 'Sudhanshu' be given adequate training before dealing with customers.If he's the manager, then you need to revisit your recruitment procedure!

Only if I could give 0 rating! Terrible customer service. If you are working in a bottle shop you should know about liquor. The lady who advised me didn't know about red wines. I am new to Australia and would love to try some new wines and Aussie beers. Fridges were EMPTY. SERIOUSLY. Beware of stack in cool room, SOMETHING might fall on you. Anyone heard about Safety? Just horrible.

Part of the Coles Supermarket store at Spencer Street Good range of alcohol and good service. Its connected to the Coles Supermarket so you can stroll in to the liquor store with your shopping basket, grab a bottle of wine, pay for it, and continue shopping in the supermarket. Always has a decent bottle of champagne for those needing bubbly for an office birthday :)

Terrible security guards. Regular customer in my 30s went in with my partner (same age). Security guard just standing at the front and approached us 10 minutes later as we are browsing. Asked for our IDs even though we could never pass in out 20s... partner didn't have his ID so we were kicked out of the store. I wasn't allowed to stay inside even to browse !!

Amazing customer service. The lady staff was extremely helpful and lovely. Unlike the other stores where they have this security guards eyeing you this was quite different experience. She even suggested me some popular gins, showed varieties in them even though the shop was a bit packed. The best part - she single handedly manage the whole place by herself.

Very bad experience about security guards. Don't know how to work and deal with customers. He has very rude experience on customer. Asking for a passport to enter inside the shop. Even, we show other ID age card. Doesn't have any idea about this security guy. I don't know how u guys keep this security guard inside unless doesn't know any knowledge.

Won’t return to this store again. Ordered through click and collect. Got text to say was ready. When we arrived the staff had no idea what was happening. Finally told us they don’t stock the 1l bottles of the order. Logged back into their website and it states in stock and available to order. wasted a lot of time on this useless store.

Security gard is seems to be racist. I am a guy in my 30's live near by always go there to buy liquor and yesterday after shopping from coles i went there with my hand full with grocery. This was the second time he asked for my ID but did not ask a white girl before me who looks like a teenager. Never going back there.

Every time I go into liquor land there’s a lady called Tammy who is just consistently so pleasant and happy. I usually go with gift cards from work and I constantly need a hand with them and she’s always there willing to help! Which makes a huge difference especially at this time :) thank you !

Refused to sell my alcohol even though I had my ID on me simply because my (26 year old) girlfriend didn't have her PASSPORT on her.. She showed her drivers license, and other forms of identification.

Convenient location, decent amount of variety at reasonable prices but it's a small store from a big chain, so not a lot of room given for beers and liquor from smaller, local, independent producers.
