Job: AC compressor replacement. My 06 Honda Civic LX has AC that’s blowing hot air. It wasn’t the fuse or relay, as I’ve replaced the relay and checked the fuse. Honda dealership has a long line and would’ve taken a couple of weeks before they would take a look at my car. ServicePlus wanted to replace the whole AC system with a quote looking $2k. I attempted to recharge my AC on my own with refrigerant in a can, but the gauge was reading red, meaning there’s something up with the AC system. So that’s when I tried to find a good, honest mechanic with reasonable rates that could take a look at the car & do the job. That’s when Lonestar Elite Automotive appeared on my radar. They’ve quoted me for the compressor with 3 year warranty in the case that it is the issue, done some tests, and will work on my car further if the other components of the AC system had failed. I wanted to think about it, so I left. Fast forward a couple days I was at work and called up Lonestar Elite Automotive. I wanted the job to be done the day of & I know I’m asking for a lot (especially since it’s a Friday), but thankfully the establishment was able to squeeze me in while I made the decision to leave work early at 2:15 so that they can do the 3-hour compressor replacement job without rushing it. Overall, I’m satisfied with their ability to communicate, their reasonable rates, their good customer service, their flexibility, and their ability to make my AC blow cold air. I’d recommend this establishment to friends, family, and anyone else that needs to get their AC checked & I’ll be coming back if I have any other issues with the car.

I have an older car, not one of these shiny new modern pieces. But it works and gets me from point A to point B and its mine! Recently, I was running in to an issue with my starter, in that it needed replacement. I called up Lone Star Elite and Billy gave me a tow company to use, and we brought it in. They were able to diagnose that the problem wasnt just the starter, but also my flywheel. Not only that, but as Im not the most mechanically inclined, he explained how they work together and what my problem was. And I appreciate that! The team got me fixed up and on the road. Not only that, they showed me the parts after being replaced and I could see exactly what they explained. Not only that one of the mechanics gave me a tip about a carburetor I could use on my older engine that would give me better gas mileage and response. That was free. You can bet if I get the money, I'll be calling Lone Star Elite. These guys were honest, up front, thorough, and did the job well. The price was beyond fair. I would never hesitate to use Billy and his team again, or refer any one else. I am glad to have found a mechanic close to home I can trust.

Recommend by a friend and family members. Brought my car in to Lonestar for the first time on a busy Friday afternoon to address some ongoing issues with the brakes. The brakes had been worked on a few times before at another shop without any long-term resolution. The team at Lonestar listened to my concerns, were very informative, and I did not feel taken advantage of (rare). They test-drove the car and told me the issues were coming from the front brakes only and we agreed to go ahead and replace those pads and rotors. I received a very reasonable estimate and scheduled a drop-off for the following Wednesday. Brought the car in at 8am and it was ready for pickup by 12. They even went out of their way to work with AutoZone, where I had my brake pads warrantied, and swap them out. THAT is customer service. After my mechanic of 20 years retired, I was thrust back in to worrying where to take our vehicles and not get screwed over. Following several referrals from our community Facebook page, and my own online research, I decided to give Lonestar Elite a chance. I needed a brake job on my 1999 daily driver so I dropped it off. They looked the car over, confirmed my determination that it needed new pads and rotors, as well as recommended other legitimate items that needed attention, like older cars do. They didn't pressure or try to up-sell me but wanted to make me aware, which I appreciate. They did the brake job in a timely manner, for a reasonable cost, explained everything well, and did it all with great customer service. As with my former mechanic, trust and consistency is built over time. From now on my family will bring our vehicles to Lonestar Elite, hoping consistency will lead to trust and another long term relationship.

Hands down my go to shop for any and all automotive work. They fixed a knuckle head mistake I made last year (2022) on my 4Runner without giving me any grief or even up charging! Hahaha I came back to them this spring (2023) for another round of maintenance work and repairs. Finished the job quickly, and due to the knowledge and thoroughness of the techs actually ended up saving me big money by fixing one of my problems and not just throwing parts at it. My AC compressor went out and with the 100° weather, I knew I needed it fixed, and fast. I took my car to another mechanic spot and they wanted almost 3k to fix it. Thankfully, I found Lonestar! Ryan was the first person I was in contact with, I called and he was so patient, helpful and was able to get me a great deal, he got my car in Tuesday, got the parts and they were able to fix it in time for me to take my dad to the airport very next day on Weds and have my car ready for my work week. My AC gets nice and super cold and in this summer heat, I was dying, so I am so very grateful to the kindness, the professionalism, the fair pricing, the swift repair and the good work! Billy has been my mechanic for a little over 3 years now. I have gotten quotes from other shops occasionally for different repairs and Billy is always at or below other shops prices. He has correctly advised me to not make a couple of repairs that some of the larger chain repair shops have recommended and my civic is still going strong. over the last 3 years I have driven about 110,000 miles and Billy has been with me for each repair along the way. I also really appreciate his willingness to discuss potential issues on the phone without requiring me to bring the car in. I've sent a number of my friends his way and they're always very happy with the results. no one likes to pay for car repairs - but when I have to, I am confident that when I pay Billy the job is done right and the job is necessary.

Very friendly, upfront and honest. We were from Illinois and salt is used during winter months, so naturally underbody parts were rusted. They tried doing all they could and kept us informed about any other issues that came about before just replacing or making adjustments. We were extremely satisfied with their service and thrilled the parts needed were available. They were very considerate and let us use a loaner since repairs made would take time. Honestly if we were ever back in Texas and needed automotive repairs we'd definitely return!! When I was searching for a mechanic, I came across Billy at Lonestar Elite. I, like most others, was skeptical because an "Honest" mechanic is hard to find. I went to him with a car that I thought both front wheel bearings were bad. It made a horrible noise. So I asked Billy to replace the parts, after 1 hour in his shop Billy called to let me know that only 1 wheel needed done. Now if this is not the MOST honest mechanic, I dont know what to say. He could of easily charged me for both and replaced only 1 side, but this by far is the most honest mechanic that I have ever found. Billy is the go to mechanic for now on! Another perfect mechanical job done on my fiats!! Diagnosed it and repaired quickly! Perfect job!

I think I finally found my "go to" auto shop. It turns out that Michael and Ryan are from another that I used to go to until two years. Michael was the manager at the other shop when I first went; Ryan came later and was the Assistant Manager under another person. I had a bad experience with Ryan's previous Supervisor, so I left and never went back. I stumbled upon Lonestar Elite Automotive. I was so happy to see Michael and Ryan. TL;DR Honest, humble guys, very reasonable price I have tried a few places around Keller and this shop has that trusted mechanic feel. Tyson and Billy (the owner's) both took time to talk to me about what was going on with my AC and were upfront and honest about everything. Very reasonable price. I had initially thought that I would have to leave my car overnight but they fit me in and took care of my issue as I waited ~30-45 minutes. The lady at the front desk was incredible to talk to, very sweet and kind. Another customer in the waiting area also swore by this place. Highly recommend.

So so so grateful I found this hidden gem. I had taken my car to a different shop a few weeks ago in watauga and they replaced the wrong part and messed up various other things on my car. These guys are saints though. They found what was actually wrong with my car in less than 5 minutes and took my anxiety from a 100 to a 0. They even pulled me back into the garage to show me the issue. That’s true honesty right there. Fixed my problem in less than 24 hours. So happy I found these guys. They’ve earned my trust and gained a new customer.

I have used lone star for my scion, ford ranger and Honda Odyssey. Each with a different problem. Lonestar has fixed each one. They are very friendly, knowledgeable and honest. I never have felt pressure to fix issues they have discovered like at other shops. When it comes to cost I have never felt like it was a bad deal. They do good work for good pay. Took my truck in to have a sensor I had replaced to have “relearned” with their diagnostic tool. Turns out, I inadvertently replaced the sensor with either the wrong or unrevised part number. They ended up ordering the correct part number and relearned it again for the cost of the part plus what I had already paid for the relearn procedure. I paid half what I thought it would end up costing. Everyone I dealt with was extremely friendly and professional. I will be back for future services.

High praise for Lonestar Elite. They diagnosed a difficult issue with the air pressure sensor in our fuel injector in our Yukon Denali. Due to the difficult and finicky nature of this component, it took persistence and patience on their part, but they came through amazingly. They also did a great job of proactively communicating with us throughout the entire process. It’s an absolute two thumbs up for Lonestar elite!

I had two cars needing repair. An older Chrysler needed a wheel spindle and brake rotors. Lonestar obtained the parts quickly and did outstanding work! The second car is a BMW and they diagnosed several items needed repair. The work was quick and reasonable...probably half or less than what a BMW dealer would charge. He was able to order (replacement was not generic) and install the new battery that same afternoon! I was in and out of his shop in about 20 minutes. Quick and friendly service! I needed more work done to my vehicle before they could inspect it, so I had to come back. The staff remembered me and my situation. My inspection was quick and at a great price! Even if I have to travel a bit to get here, it's worth it to have a shop I can trust.

The experience would be better if it were more informative. I want to know what maintenance was performed on my vehicle, especially for the amount of money spent. I want to know what I paid for. Show the person proof of parts required and labor cost not just an email or text.

A trusted mechanic is worth its weight in gold. Lonestar Elite Automotive is my go to. Who likes to spend money on car repairs? Not me! But these guys are honest, shoot you straight, and always do a great job. Very professional as well. I recommend them highly!

Oil change done in nice environment. I was pleased with the General inspection that was done as well. They determine that my top engine gasket needed to be replaced which made a lot of sense to me. I appreciate the proactive stance that they took
