I have lived in the area all my 61 years and this restaurant has been around for over 40 years. It once used to be an excellent restaurant, their fried rice was second to none. But the other night I took my elderly mother up there to get her out of the house and I was very disappointed. I can only guess that most of their business comes from takeaway and UBER eats, because the dine in area was really run down. The young person serving gave us cup saucers as plates ( I felt sorry for the person serving us ). And there was constant yelling coming from the kitchen. The rice was bland but in fairness the rest of the meal was nice. The place looks so run down and clearly needs a facelift. I won’t be going back there again I’m afraid. The eating experience was poor.

Moved Nearby 3 years ago and love having this as my local Chinese. Cheap n cheerful, consistent quality every time. Beef n Black Bean and Honey Chicken are favorites, Dad loves the Hot N Sour Soup. Every order no matter how big is always ready in "10 minutes" - haha Honestly you don't often wait much longer unless they're flat-out busy. Counter Staff are often teens doing an after school job taking orders and payments. Go easy on them, they're not trained professionals, just local kids. I'll keep going back.

We went to Lotus Garden at Darling Square for our Xmas lunch and we got our booking in a private room last week. The service was okay, food quality is below average. The room was extremely hot and the air con didn't work at all! They even charge us for tap water on top of the $69/person plus 10% service fee! I dont recommend there! Wont go back there...ever!

Value for Money, food is consistently good, the staff can be busy and are efficient, been buying here for over 10 years, we drive past Sorlie road shops to pick up and eating in on the way home from work is ok, good local Chinese, don't expect the best and cheapest and you will be happy

Just had a very nice meal from Lotus Garden Chinese Restaurant - the honey chicken was especially nice! It was great they were open today (Monday) and were able to turn around my order so quickly.

Got takeaway, 2 combination curries and a mongolian lamb - so much onion it was unbearable. Barely any meat in the curries. Fried rice was bland. I know times are tough guys but if you don't deliver value to those trying to support local, people aren't going to come back.

Great service, unfortunately the food was absolutely horrible. The best part of the meal was the prawn chips to give you an idea. Crispy chicken was like reheated supermarket BBQ chicken, pork was dry and tasteless. I'll never go back.

Just had another succulent Chinese meal from Lotus Garden. Have been coming here for about 15 years, never disappoint, quick preparation and delivery.

Over the years our favorite take-aways were Mongolian lamb, combination broad rice noodles and hot n sour soup. What we brought home last night (4/5/16) was the worst meal ever; throw away, not take away.

I had the short soup which is the best I've had in such a long time. The sweet and sour pork was crispy, succulent and fried rice was just so light and yummy. High recommendations
