Went here to get hair extensions done. Never again, would not recommend. It was my first set, so I knew nothing about positioning, colour etc and trusted the hairdresser wholly. I made the mistake of requesting to curl my hair which masked the terrible job. After a first wash and straightening, I realised the blend with my natural hair was virtually non existent. No matter which way I wore my hair - in front/back of shoulders, tied up, even a low ponytail - tapes showed everywhere. There was even a tape placed on my cow lick where my hair doesn't naturally fall, and I couldn't conceal it. People commented on the mismatched colour - which I agreed to under artificial salon light and because I just did not know any better. It's the sort of thing you would entrust entirely to a professional hairdresser. I didn't contact the salon until about 3 weeks after I had this done, because it took me that long to come to terms with the fact I spent $850. I wanted to provide feedback. The salon director was defensive and appeared upset that I didn't return for them to fix the work. Honestly, why would I go back when I've lost complete confidence in their ability to do the job? I went elsewhere - had my extensions retaped, my hair colour matched in natural light, dyed and properly blended. I can now tie it. The other salon I went to didn't curl my hair so they could properly assess their blending work. I was told this wasn't the first client who had come to them to fix a job by Lux Hair Lounge, which says a lot. Extensions are expensive and there's a certain standard you expect. $850 down the drain.

That worker named Emily was very rude, racist spoke down to me gave me dirty looks and quoted me $230 for colouring a quarter of my fringe. The other lady at the front desk with brown medium coffee brown hair also gave me dirty looks as soon as she saw my face and both were being racist to me throughout the whole duration. She didn’t even allow me to sit in the chair to do the consultation and when I asked to sit in the chair, she spoke over me and ignored my request. I tried to ask about other products to maybe purchase because I was really excited to get my hair done, and genuinely wanted to still get my hair done which is why I was asking the questions despite the cost. However Emily’s attitude was so negative and disgusting about my questions and ended up kicking me out; when all I was doing was asking genuine questions about the products. I would not recommend her to anyone, I rate this negative 5 stars!!!! When I asked for knowledge about the products and wanted them to justify why it was $230 for hair lighting they got defensive (Karen mode) refused to explain reasoning, and kicked me out of the store. She made out like she was too busy for my questions when I waited 10 minutes to be the first one in the store, and there was no other customer inside other than myself. I’ve never felt so disrespected and put down in my whole entire life and it was highly appalling. This store claims they have affordable prices but wants to charge me $230 for a quarter of a fringe with disgusting attitude what a joke !!!!

After a terrible experience with another hairdresser my hair needed a colour correction and some serious TLC. I can not recommend this salon enough. While they were on the pricey side I truely believe you are paying for quality. Antonia was amazing she explained the process and let me know of the cost so there were no hidden surprises. My hair transformation was better than I anticipated and she was fantastic throughout the whole process. From the moment I stepped in everyone acted in such a professional and friendly manner and listening to the staff interact with the other clients and actually ask questions about expectations likes and dislikes was such a positive experience. Well done, will definitely be going back!

Could not recommend these ladies more! Friendly, professional, talented, affordable and give you a good laugh I made the stupid mistake of attempting to do my own regrowth, which turned all sorts of purple and copper.. but Julia swooped in to save my blonde hair! I actually don’t think I’ve ever been happier with how my hair looks walking out of a salon. The way Julia cut and style my fringe as well.. stunning! I feel so grateful I found these ladies as not once did I feel judged for making a silly mistake. A happy and proud new customer of Lux Hair Lounge

The ladies there are lovely. Unfortunately, my hair was bleach damaged from the service. I could tell the week after the service - hair was knotting and clumping at the scalp when I wash it, massively dry, hair breaks every time I brush it and it’s frizzy beyond belief. This may be a result of the chemical product they used or the technique from the hair dresser. As a result I will not be returning

brooke has been my hairdresser for years, when she started working at lux lounge i immediately followed. the other girls here are so incredibly welcoming and caring about my hair. when i come and book my appointments for myself or my mum they always ask how’s my hair going and actually care about it. i couldn’t recommend brooke and the other ladies here enough. they are amazing at what they do.

Had an appointment with Lux Hair Lounge on Tuesday for the first time. Was so happy with my hair!! Sharni did an absolutely amazing job on my Extension re-tape, wash, blow dry and cut!! Great atmosphere, staff were all happy and friendly and I will definitely be back!!! Thank you so much Sharni!! My husband searched best hair dressers in the area for kids haircuts. When we arrived I thought it was wrong as it was very feminine and pretty inside. It looked like a place I myself would go. They were super patient and kind with my 1 year old. I would highly recommend and will certainly be back. The staff are lovely and did a really nice first hair cut. Thank you!

I was at Lux Hair Lounge for a keratin treatment today, I am yet to wash off to see the final result. However, I wanted to congratulate the team on such a strong work ethic! Emily was patient and attentive and cared about my treatment rather than just pumping her bill amount. Definitely going there again!

I went to Lux for a full head of foils and was so happy with the result! The colour is gorgeous and it was blow dried exactly how I wanted it. I'm already looking forward to my next appointment and spending some more time in the massage chairs at the basin! Definitely recommend visiting Lux!
