THEY'RE A SCAM - DO NOT USE I employed the services of MCN Plumbing yesterday Monday 30/10/2023 during normal business hours for the purpose of a leaky hot water system. They were quick to answer, quick to deploy an agent arriving within the hour and the unit was fixed in under 1 hour. They advertise a $0 call out fee which is what attracted me to this company. Joe was pleasant, engaging and from what I thought efficient. He assessed the situation advised it was repairable and said he'd need to replace the piping that was rusted to solve the problem which was a leaky valve that he said "doesnt really need to be there." He quoted almost $600 for this and given he was replacing all the piping I thought fair enough. My first mistake. I paid, he left and I reviewed the work. My second mistake, not reviewing while he was still there. Lesson learnt to not trust so blindly. He had not replaced the piping as he originally suggested but rather just the valve. When sharing this work with some tradie friends they were SHOCKED to hear how much I paid for this repair. Replacing a valve would cost under $20 and labour of that nature for the time spent minimal too. I should of been charged less than half that price but once again MCN Plumbing took advantage and grossly over charged which now reading ALL the ratings, is a very common occurrence but this dishonest company. Ive asked for an itemised invoice and their speedy repsonse times seems to have been turned off as I've received no reply to this email. They seem to think they can get away with such arrogant and fraudulent pricing without repercussions as they continue to do this over and over again. It is people like this that makes people untrusting of tradies. Given this ongoing behaviour I will be taking this matter further and anyone else wanting to escalate their complaint with me I ask you email me directly.

If I could rate 0 I would. Do not use this company unless you are incredibly wealthy and fine with being treated with no dignity or respect. Terrible customer service and zero patience. We needed emergency plumbing done and I asked if invoicing to my landlord was something they did and they said YES but after the work was done they demanded money from me, to which I told them my landlord’s contact details and told them he will handle it. They didn’t even send the invoice until two days later, upset that no payment was made, then called me twice in a row a few hours later without leaving a message or anything. When I called back right away and tried to reason with them, explaining that my landlord is out of the country so will be paying later that day, the plumbers talked down to me and told me “That wasn’t the deal”. That was exactly the deal, Chris. I asked during the original inspection if invoicing and few days grace was possible and they said Yes. Not my fault your staff have terrible communicative skills, man. I had also already paid $600 out of my pocket towards the work so they knew we were good for it. Zero patience, terrible customer skills, prices much higher than others DO NOT USE MCN PLUMBING IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!!!

A few days ago, I had to repair a water leak from the solar hot water panel on the roof. They explained to me about changing to new entire system or repair or not using the solar hot water system. They said it would break down quickly even if they fixed it, so I asked them to get rid of the system. I double checked because I wanted to keep the look of the panels and hot water system, and he said he would leave the panels on the roof and the hot water tank intact and just reconnect the pipes. I had to go to work, so I left it there and paid for it. But when I got home, I found that my hot water tank had been stolen. My house was only built two years ago and the hot water tank also 2year sold. When I asked for it back, at first he said he agreed to let me take it and its in the bin, but later he said he would drop off my house. I didn't want to have to move something heavy and create more problems, so I told him to just take it. I looked at the price elsewhere and it was much cheaper. Job was clean but I don't recommend this place. Double check, The place I received service from is MCN Plumbing.

Hi there service was excellent. My requirement was to replace frozen up H and C tap set in bathroom. After initial phone contact, plumber arrived on time Michael ( manager ), checked job and also checked other plumbing and advised on other issues. Agreed on replacing tap set in bathroom and installing a pressure regulator on main line in. Worked out price on site, agreed, go ahead. As i am a retired, former Air Conditioning technician, i am aware of some of the industry pitfalls, expecting next week or in a fortnight we can attend. NO !!! We can carry out the works today ( same day ) mid afternoon. I don't believe it !!! Another plumber Joe/Joey and an apprentice turned up as promised, carried out all works in record time; very efficient, very professional, cleaned up all mess, all faulty equipment and packaging. To sum it up, very efficient, very professional, friendly and help full with advice and service. Would definitely recommend their services and contact again in future. Tony and Christine Hall Epping

Had a blocked drain for a while and decided to get it sorted - from my first phone call to the end of the job, I have nothing but good things to say about MCN Plumbing. Job was booked in at a suitable time and I received a call the day before to confirm and on the morning of the job while they were travelling to site - Tradies that keep you up to date - how good is that! They found the issue but this required further works with one of their crews with an Excavator - who they had on site around 3 hours later to fix it. They showed me exactly what the problems were on the camera before removing the blockages, then showed me afterwards the results. Great communication all around and easy to deal with. They found a secondary issue that can be rectified at a later date which I will get them back for. I highly recommend giving them a call if you are in the need of a Plumber - 5 stars from me.

Price was abnormally high. Required full upfront payment rather than deposit and payment after work complete. No updates on when order was arriving in. Two calls allegedly made to me but no message left, no email sent, no text sent. Just an unknown number calling. When I texted the plumber that provided quote, I was left on read and had to follow up through the main line. Called, locked in a time. They did not show up at correct time due to putting an ‘emergency’ first (which is fine, but no communication was made), requiring me to alter my work hours further. Work completed and mess left behind, including plumber splattering water everywhere when he cleaned his hands rather than using the hand towel on the rack. All round pretty shoddy job, wouldn’t recommend.

We had our Kitchen mixer and shower head changed and valves replaced. We asked for a payment plan and said there is one. They set us up and waiting for confirmation. A guy manager called us and said “the payment plan is not an option anymore” he said that it’s like getting a car fixed and them not getting payment STRAIGHT AWAY. The job done was okay. But that is just very rude and not professional. We’re not running away from the payment. Who wouldn’t want a payment plan these days? We asked if there was one, they said yes, and then they said it was not an option anymore. We paid by cash and not going to use their service anymore! There’s so much things going on these day and being kind and respectful to one another would be great.

Only in our property for 2 months when we discovered that our sewage pipes needed replacing ASAP!! We accepted MCN Plumbing’s quote and they made a crew available to complete the work while we were on a pre-planned week away. This worked extremely well as we were given regular photo updates by Mick showing his team of hard workers digging in rocky, clay soil with both machinery and manual labour to install approx 45 metres of new sewage pipes. The work was completed on time and our sewage system is now working well thanks in part to Mick’s years of experience and expertise. The work site was also left tidy with soil levelled and rocks and debris collected and taken away in bins.

We had a lovely gentleman Joe come out from MCN plumbing today, to help us sort out a blocked drain issue. He was friendly and approachable and ensured we understood what was happening throughout the process. He was able to rectify our issue fairly quickly with the use of the jet, he also did an inspection with the camera to ensure the drain was clear. On top of all that he gave us an affordable and very competitive price. We are very happy with the service, and will definitely be using MCN plumbing again in the future. thanks again to Joe.

I had a quote given for new cistern and a couple of smaller jobs This plumbing group has a policy that you have to pay a good size deposit before they book a time to do the work. I found them to be very expensive so got a quote from different plumber who was much cheaper. If you cancel you lose 2/3 of your paid deposit. I cancelled and even with the lost money it was still much cheaper for me. Not recommended for a pensioner at all to use this plumber. Very expensive indeed, get a quote and check other plumbers before you commit.

NOT recommended. They are scam. We have called them to check gas oven. Technician came and didn't even check the oven properly. Without checking quickly said we need to replace whole stove, oven which we will cost over 7k including install the commercial cooktop. technician sent me a quote for it. Next day another company came and had look and fixed thre oven in 10min and cost me $175. MCN dont know what they are doing and have less experience staff which will cost you a lot. So AVOID THIS COMPANY GUYS.

Every promised made by Chris was delivered. On time and highly professional Joe and Elias replaced our 20 yr old hot water Rheem storage unit with a continuous system and did so quickly. Very personable and careful young blokes. The electrical team also stepped in seamlessly with Charbel & Dean finishing off a very neat job and even gave a little extra with a double power outlet. Very reasonably priced. I now have my preferred plumbers and electricians. Give them a call!

We had an urgent leak with our hot water system, Mick came to advise ( it required a total replacement) and told us he could have his boys over within a couple of hours to complete the installation and remove and take the old system. The boys were friendly, helpful and very professional and by the end of the afternoon the job was completed and we had our hot water again. Would highly recommend, thank you.

Great service by MCN plumbing- punctual professional and most importantly honest and ethical Joe was our man - he was polite, respectful offered to remove shoes without being asked and is a gentleman. Although it turned out to be a quick fix I actually had to push him to charge more than he wanted to cover for his time and travel. Would use again and thoroughly recommend!

Excellent service. Joe came out and was thorough when diagnosing our ongoing drainage problem. He explained it all to me and my wife in great depth to help us understand. Kent from MCN Plumbing quoted my sister $4900 after a 10 minute inspection he recommended we repair broken blocked pipes , cut concrete ect, we dodnt do that. Problem fixed in 45 minutes with a plunger and a sewer machine, total cost $190. Really disappointing to see this happening in the industry.

Very professional, friendly, prompt and easy to deal with. Had soakage in the front yard due to a water leak. Joe came out on the Tuesday and found the issue. Needed a storm water pipe replaced. Mick and the boys came out on the Thurday and replace the pipe. Highly recommend these guys!
