To Leila, with a million thanks!!! I had a terrible experience with the previous manager of this shop and decided to write it off completely. However, three or four months after the incident, it came to my attention that this location is now operating under new management. So I thought I should grant it a last chance. And am I ever soooo glad I did! Indeed. As soon as I came in, I felt a stark change in the atmosphere which was so pleasantly relaxing and comfortable. Good vibes all over compared to the dull and thick air of arrogance that terrible previous manager spread around her. It’s incredible how the wrong attitude can kill a business by chasing its customers away, while one positive professional, with a sincere and warm smile can put you completely at ease before even discussing the hair cut with you. Good vibes made the whole difference for me. I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Leila last week and it was by far the best experience I’ve ever had at a hair salon. She skillfully gave me an incredibly well sculpted cut that beautifully suited my hair texture. The final result was an amazing fresh look with panache. That’s what I call a Magic Cut. To Leila with a Million Thanks for the impeccable service! Your patience and commitment to excellence are priceless! You are truly a gem in the field and the best in every aspect of the profession. I came for a haircut to this location a few weeks ago. I was honestly shopping at Costco and looked up nearby salons because I really needed a haircut. I called and booked a same-day appointment and had my hair done with Elham. She was very sweet and extremely professional. She was very attentive to what I asked for and as a result I was so happy with how my haircut turned out. I returned again today and she was able to provide the same exceptional service and I left the salon, once again, extremely happy with my haircut. It’s been a very long time since I’ve felt so happy with my hair and I will certainly be returning to see Elham for future haircuts! Thanks again Elham :)

Absolutely delighted with my recent experience at this location. I’ve been a regular for about 2 years and get my usual wash, cut and style. Always happy with my results. Yesterday was my first time doing colour here and my stylist Vasanta left me with a result that was better than I expected. Got red highlights in my black hair. The shade, the style, the blend, everything was just *perfect* ☺️ I’ve spent a lot of $$$ on high end places around Ottawa that don’t even compare to this location of Magicuts. Their prices are very fair and the ladies are all so pleasant. Highly recommend this salon. They even have a private room for my fellow hijabis!

After my fourth visit, it's about time I leave a review! Although this location is part of a major chain, it gives the local small town feel. Hair cuts were done great every single time with 3 different people. Although I'm a guy and the haircuts I request are straight forward, I never have complaints! This place is very clean. I've seen hair dresser's stations look cluttered and run down. Not here. When I get a cut, they brush off their electric razors immediately after they're done. If they care that much about their equipment, it shows when they cut your hair as well. I recommend this place 100%! Thanks for the great cuts!

I have never given out anything short of a five star review before, but I have also never gotten a haircut anywhere close to this bad before. Not only did Ellie completely disregard what I asked for she did so in a way that made it impossible for me to go elsewhere and fix. Ellie is very talented since she managed to make my hair more dry by adding 3 different types of conditioner. I got to experience another first today since I’ve never tipped under 10% before however today I wished there was an option for negative tips. I have been with Leila for over a year now and consider myself very lucky. She is excellent at what she does, whether it be a cut, highlights or blow dry. She listens to me but also gives her opinion. I trust her to make the final decision and have not been disappointed. To top it off the cost is reasonable compared to those I have used in the past and I am much happier with the results. For those who are brave enough, she also does threading. My sister also sees her and would not have anyone else. Finally, she is a really nice person. I am totally comfortable with her. Try her!

Great cut! I'm usually only going to one guy for years but he was booked up for the holidays so I decided to try Magic Cuts out. Did not disappoint. I asked for what my usual guy gives me but the ladies pushed back and promised to do something even better. Love my usual guy but this was one of the best haircuts I've received & I think I have a new spot. Will be returning as I work nearby! Very pleased & I also noticed the two gentlemen before me left visibly happy as well.

Took my little girl for a hair cut today and Kate was brilliant. She explained to both of us what she was doing and why. Took her time and gave a great calming experience. This was the best experience my daughter has had at a hairdressers. Handled sensory issues well. Wish we'd found her sooner. Also had my hair done and she again spent the time and gave advice on different things to try and why she thought they would give a superior finish. A very happy customer

They know how to do my hair and provide excellent service every time. The stylists at this location walk you through your cut so you leave feeling happy and beautiful. Ophelia is an excellent stylist, I never go to anyone else. She always has a positive attitude, reliable, provides great customer service, pays attention to details and is very informative. Ophelia introduced me to new products that actually work for me, and gives good tips on natural hair maintenance. She on top of her game and definitely knows here stuff, she’s truly dedicated. Highly recommend.

This salon is worth every minute and dollar spent. It is a clean and professional environment. I am always greeted warmly and appointment times are respected. Ophelia is very knowledgeable of the different products and treats my hair as it needs. She is an excellent stylist - she did my wedding. I’m just never disappointed and neither is my husband as he when my hair looking fabulous.

Although it is hard to get an appointment with Ellie, it is so worth it. I got a cut and colour and I am happy which is saying something since I am very sensitive about my hair. She also has a great attitude, and is friendly. She tries her best to do what the customer asks for, and provides nice suggestions for people who do not know exactly what they are looking for.

Very good service. My hair got cut by Ellie and my hair ended up exactly how I wanted it. Had to make a long drive due all my local places being fully booked. That being said, will probably return because it was done right.
