Third time coming here but this time I got to actually dine in for a special occasion other than bowling… my birthday :D I wanted a lowkey dinner with my family, having delicious food and I got just that! Amazing service by the attendants on that day. They were patient and attentive and made the night so much easier. *I can only review the food I tasted personally but none of my family members had complaints on what they had that I know of. They have dined here before. I don’t think I need to explain any further lol* Their Chicken Caesar Salad had very generous amounts of chicken. Almost like I was eating at a the Juniors (that’s a compliment) haha. It was really good! Honestly, I would have loved a bit more salad because I love salad in general but that’s just how like it. 10/10 The Salt & Pepper squid might be the best tasting squid I’ve ever had in this city and at that price. Period. Crispy and tender, battered to perfection. So good and tasty and that aioli- my god. 11/10 We came at least an hour before the kitchen closed and we’re served food pretty quickly. 10/10 service. The only mistake that happened was we ordered Mushroom sauce for a steak but was served Gravy instead. It wasn’t my plate so I didn’t notice until mid eating but it wasn’t a big deal. Just wanted to point it out. Overall, I would definitely keep this place in mind for special occasions and dinners in the future. I’m a local so I’m quite happy to be living close to an establishment that does service in a spectacular manner. Big thank you to the staff!

My teenager son, Carlos who is now 16 years old has been a super fans for 3 years now of Manhattan Superbowl for their famous signature dishes, Chicken Snitchzel. Carlos is diagnosed with severe autism and he is very sensitive of noises and he will get triggered by the noises and self harming himself due to his autism conditions. Manhattan Superbowl is a very busy places with lots of kids parties and disabled peoples and noises which is unavoidable & understandable as this is our choice to go there so we will go with the flow. Staff members are amazing especially our favourite Team members Chris,Gabi,Kaitlyn,Aaron,Louise, Adrian,Amanda & Fernanda they always so helpful and friendly to Carlos and me. 20/4/2023 UPDATE REVIEW My apologize for such delayed update for my previous review that the Licensee Mr Savva reached out to me immediately soon he see my review. I greatly appreciate Mr Savva taking his time to communicate with me & happily to continue assist me with Carlos special needs when Carlos is in the premises with their warm welcoming to Carlos. It's a great local place for bowling. Good for kids in holidays. This has a car park on the ground floor which is very convenient. However it's only a very small car park and so it is very likely to be full during the peak areas especially during the holidays. Inside it is all disco lighting and mood lighting which is great for the kids. But your photos will all look weird. There are coloured LEDs along each of the Bowling Lanes and the sitting area is got enough that you don't feel too self-conscious about all the people around you. You can ask the people to set up the bumpers for certain people. So that kids can have fun while adults can play the full game. There is a computer control for the scoreboard but it's very ancient and a bit hard to understand let alone control. It's right next to the hotel so you can get food. It's not a bad menu. There is also a small games area with some basic arcade games which is good for a wind down after a few games of bowling.

Visited two times, first was to check out the vintage photo booth. It was maybe an hour after they had opened so it was quiet. The second time we visited there were quite a few people bowling what I assume professionally or in teams. We decided to give the arcade a go. It’s not huge but decent sized, the playing system with the card is great. After that we decided to try the photo booth again, as we walked up to it we were stopped by someone watching the bowling and were told to shut the curtain as the flash is bright which obviously you usually do when you use one. When we used it for the second time we could hear everyone loudly complaining quite rudely, counting down after each flash and clapping as soon as we finished. I’d probably recommend moving it if its such an issue. Nothing against the staff as they were nice but the bowling regulars were horrible

Our 14 year old decided on a ‘Yes day’ for his Birthday, and bowling was his choice for lunch/afternoon. From the moment we arrived we were looked after so beautifully! The staff on the desk even made sure his name was on the screens. Food great, as was the service! I would like to call out especially Matty Sheldon who made our son feel so special, and made sure everything went smoothly! The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because there are a number of games we played that are, quite frankly, a bit of a rip-off! For example the big Crossy-Road gives you only one turn, & the whackem game that showed no results. Overall a great afternoon! Thanks everyone!!

Best customer service ever We had a party for my 13 year old daughter at Manhattan SuperBowl yesterday. The manager & the party host were so good that I honestly thought someone must have told them we were Mystery Shoppers. The party host even cut the cake so that every kid got the SAME AMOUNT OF LOLLIES on their slice. The woman is clearly a genius. For $400, 10 kids bowled 2 games, ate really nice pizza and LOTS of hot chips, had a soft drink and ate cake. And had 4-5 games in the arcade. And I didn’t have to clean anything. Or cook. The manager had a great personality and was really kind. I can not recommend this place highly enough!!!

We had my nephews' 5th birthday party here, and it was the best! We got multiple lanes of bowling for little ones and adults, then a separate party section for the cake and lunch (the pizzas were really good, as well as the old school style milkshakes) plus time in the arcade. All of the staff were so helpful and more than happy to help make his day special. Tony, in particular, was fantastic! I didn't even have to ask, and Tony would deliver! It is so refreshing to see someone who genuinely just wants to make people smile. I absolutely recommend the party package to all. We will definitely be back!

Experience the 60s. When my friend recommended this place I was alittle confused. I was not sure what to expect but boy was it a great choice! The food next door was delicious while the service at the alley was great! It really does look and feel vintage... The atmosphere really makes you feel as though you've traveled through time. My friends been going to this Superbowl since his childhood and I can see why. If you have children I recommend you take them here rather then the usual AMF because the memories here will last longer. Ps: don't forget your camera!. Thanks guys!

Bowling is a lot like being in a war zone. Sometimes You're down on troops, looking around for inspiration and you see your leading officer coming over the hill, blood on his face, grenade in his hand and you turn to your mate in the trenches and go "Jesus, that's Sarge". I got that feeling when I was at my lowest score (0) and needed a helping hand. I look up at the screens and the anthropomorphic bowling pins and a familiar face pops up. I turn to my mate and I yell "Jesus, that's Sarge". Great experience, would come again. 5 sarges

By far the best 10 pin bowling and arcade in Sydney. We keep coming back here and have never been dissapointed. Whilst the facility is old, it is well kept and has a fantastic retro decor. The American 50s theme is fun. Staff are always friendly and accommodating. Arcade isn't the largest but is cheap, prizes are great and machines are working/ fixed quickly. Diner and bar is well priced, good quality and quick service. Will be coming back again.

Had a work function here after enjoying the beer & pizzas downstairs at the Newtown Hotel. Great atmosphere with a 50's & 60's theme. Music covered a few more decades but only added to a great night's entertainment. This place reminds you why you loved bowling as a teenager! We all enjoyed a couple of games and a few trips down memory lane(s). Staff were great but would really add to the theme if they wore 50's and 60's bowling shirts etc.

Had my son's birthday here yesterday and previously my two daughters also. Each time the staff are always so nice and helpful and they brought out so much food and drinks as part of the package . They looked after everything from Bowling and then with arcade .You can add extra money to the tap cards for the Arcade games so the kids can play longer , overall very nice fun day for everyone , Thank you Caitlyn and Manhattan staff .

Great bowling experience and they take both dine and discover vouchers. They will bring your food and drinks to your lane if you order anything. Bowling shoes and balls are free to use for your games. They do events like kids birthdays and corporate get togethers. Staff is friendly and helpful. They also do leagues which is a great way to socialise. They also have an amazing 50's aesthetic if you wanted to take some pictures.

It’s what I call a normal bowling alley. Food and drinks offered, alcoholic and non. Clean and organized. Music is played from all periods but at a perfect volume. Could be considered retro. We had a blast. We try to bowl at least a couple games in each country we visit. The lane attendants were great as well! Everything for my sons 6th birthday was amazing... venue, music , helpful staff and the food were all of a very high standard... This is the second time we've had a party here and the whole process was easy and couldn't have asked for a more smooth running celebration. Thank you so much for everything. Would highly recommend to anyone it who is looking for a stress free event of a super high standard

Had a lot of fun. I found out this is only 1 of 2 original bowling alleys in Australia. Super fun if you want to step back in time. The guy who runs the arcade parlour is so genuinely nice, he made every child there happy via respect and courtesy. I wish I knew his name, tattoos on his arms... All staff were great but he stood out. Lastly, the pizza from the wood fired oven is AMAZING!

Had a great time with work colleagues. I dont like the fluro bowling myself. I find it difficult to bowl without normal lighting. The floor does not allow you to slide as you once could which is also an impediment to bowling. You no longer have to wear their shoes since Covid and a clean team swoops in once you are finished and wipes everything down and puts balls away etc.

Dancing with bowling balls and oversized disco balls is also acceptable at this retro bowling alley/diner combo. Don’t forget to dress in matching outfits…think Grease. It will give you the ultimate cool-factor and be the envy of all the strangers around you. Finish it off with a perfect wiggle, flamboyant leg extension or double pirouette!!!

Fun, retro bowling alley with heaps of character and lanes. Alcohol bar, arcade, nice atmosphere and autographed pins from famous folks. Decent pizza, chips and snacks too They take large bookings for birthday parties or work events. They're definitely suited to catering to large groups. Parking in the garage out the back

Great place for birthday party. They are very helpful and the food for the kids and the adult platters are very nice and generous potions. The pizza is supper delicious. The kids and the adult have fun with the bowling plus the vending machine and the bonus it didnt cause you and arm or a leg. Well worth and highly recommend.

What a great night out. Spacious, quick service to set our lanes up and get going. A few of the bowling balls were a bit worse for wear, so give them a good feel right around to find the best one for you & your hand size. Also some lanes are in better condition than others - so if you're fussy take a good look first.

Absolutely awesome. The hosts went above and beyond. Seamless operation by all staff. Food, service, decor, drinks and hospitality was 200%. Thank you for caring and looking after the kids. Further to my previous review, I would like to give a shout out to TONY (and his alter ego Paul) for another great afternoon for the kids. They had a great time bowling and lots of laughs in the arcade. The staff have such patience dealing with the kids trying to redeem their points. Such great place.

Great vibe! Good music! Went on a busy night still so many lanes available. Big screens and big lanes. Friendly bar staff, little bar area to relax in after or between games. Bowling food wedges and chips were great to snack on between bowls aswell! They also have a vintage car in the centre.

Customer service is not lost! The best team, from staff to managers. All work together as one, putting the customer first - nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is happy, it must be a great place to work. As is a great place to visit. Great for both adults and children!! 10 stars!

I paid $30 for two games where are other bowling alleys I can get 2 games for under 20 dollars. The lanes were too oiley. This centre is clearly a cash grab I would recommend other centres over this piece of garbage! If the owner sees this: YOUR PRICES FOR GAMES ARE TOO HIGH!!

We came here for a Christmas party and had a great time. Food and service was average/good. Staff kept the place cleaned. The only thing is that, it wasn't covid safe. Whilst there are signs asking people to wear mask, noone wore one and noone checked vaccination records.

Calamari pieces looked really good but was cold. To compensate for no chips & to make it worth $20+ let’s add hundreds of cashew nuts & drown it in aioli sauce. Sore stomach after eating it. Why not lodge a complaint??? Well I don’t want any added extras in my food!!!!!

Good place for a family day out. Friendly service, not too expensive (~$100 for two families). It is looking a little worn out and tired but the flashing lights and darkness keep that hidden a bit. Parking looks hard - but there is customer parking out the back.

Retro style with full sized bowling alley can be used for professional play or just a fun day out. The oven baked pizza rocks and the milkshakes are delicious. The arcade has tons of fun games to play and cool prizes. Overall a great place to spend the day.

A great place for a kids birthday party! We had kids from ages 4 to 10 and parents joining in as well. The team looked after our group from start to finish and the kids had a great time, as did the adults as we didn't have to run around like we usually do.

Retro bowling alley - a little bit daggy but also a little bit hipster. Fun night out for the family. There is fast food available and an OK bar service. The DJ plays some good retro top 40 hits to set the mood.
