@Strike Bowling Bar #Darlingharbour Awesome time! going in to try our luck with no bookings on a Saturday of a long weekend , the staff was absolutely amazing! A deceptively deep venue that starts with some outside tables and a top bar with a pool table into a sloping hallway that leads passed around 4 Karaoke rooms. We got lucky and snagged a lane for a quick game of bowling (if you haven’t been 10 pin bowling its fun) then we dove straight into a game of INTERAVTIVE DARTS!! Id never done this before and I can tell you all I will never play normal darts again. THIS IS TOO MUCH FUN! Its real darts, a real board but with an interactive overlay from a projector screen. There is a small display that records your scores, and the screen displays whose turn it is. There are many games to choose from (6 from memory) we tried most of them, my favorite being Robin hood in which you aim for the center and nothing else really matters. You can choose from 30mins or 60mins, we went with 30mins both times we went and it was definitely enough time for 2 people . 3 + I would recommend an hour. And pretty cheap to play too … at around $12 per person from memory. Drinks at the venue aren’t cheap but that’s to be expected. That being said we got a DISCO BALL cocktail for $55... not bad... The Escape rooms. Now these are 100% something to write home about… over our 2 days away we did 2 escape rooms ⏳. Starting with the hardest… no spoilers but its HARD... ALSO They are INCREDIBLE. They’re engrossing and interactive and made so enjoyable by the introduction we were given to them by our Host Peter. Now aside from the escape rooms being interactive and engrossing they were possible for 2 people (we just aren’t good at them) and you get a READOUT at the end. It rates your skill level for all of the puzzles and tells you what you missed, and you can get the answers IF YOU WANT THEM…⌛️⏳ Now the staff of this venue HAVE to be mentioned again, Peter is a stellar example of incredible customer service! It cant be said enough how much fun he made our nights (both of them) Even the security on the door checking our IDs were friendly and knowledgeable of the venue. Now the amenities ARENT the cleanest. But it’s essentially a pub that has other stuff in it so its to be expected. POOP BEFORE GOING The Karaoke rooms were busy too with one group dancing like no one was watching which was GREAT to see! The food is also AWESOME! took a while to get but when we did ... DELICIOUS!!! Sorry for the poor image quality... and half eaten hotdog They’re VERY soundproof too! EDIT POST COMMUNICATION: I will keep this existing review up just for honesty. After calling, it turned out there was a miscommunication on who was contacting them and they tried reaching out to the friend, instead of replying to my email. They communicated the changes they made and have reinforced their expectations for security. We had discussed how things played out and ways forward, and I hope that things have improved since these changes. I understand its difficult to control random patrons that enter the premises and from what we had talked about, it really does seem they have done all they can to prevent incidents like this. I really appreciate them reaching out and sharing what has been done since then. EDIT AFTER REPLY: of course you would have had issues getting through to my friend as I hadn't provided their information or contact details to you, which was why this correspondence was operating through me. You never made any attempt to contact me after I made my formal complaint, except to say that you received it. I will copy and paste my original report (AND the suggested strategies you might make to remediate some of these issues) that I sent to the new email you provided. The lack of accountability and changing the story to make it out like you made ANY effort to fix this is disappointing and condescending. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I think my biggest issue with this place was their lack of action regarding an experience my friend had with one of their patrons back in April. The whole night we were there she was being harassed while the security were happily talking to this guy (they even let him check our IDs at the door, and he started asking about where we live). The creep tried to kiss her while she had previously been saying no to his advances all night. He even tried coming into our private karaoke room, but luckily one of our friends pushed him out. I had made a formal, written complaint to the business, but they only responded that they would look into it and I never heard from them again. Hopefully they have started to take harassment claims more seriously and that their security will have better training. Also super pricey food and drinks, but I suppose that's just the norm for the location. Activities are fun, but again, hard to enjoy when we were being hounded by a stranger all night.

Had the worst experience with this venue on Saturday night. I had called a couple of weeks ago to discuss booking my nephews 18th birthday. I didnt have final numbers but was told on the phone to book for the numbers we did have (which was 10) & that if there were extra, because each lane holds 7 people we could just add them on the night. We had 3 extra people so it was still only the two lanes. I was met with over stressed workers & told the venue was over booked so there was no space to add 3 people because we had a time limit of 50 minutes. There is nothing on the email about a time limit & that was not advised on the phone either. The place was so busy that by the time I had gotten to the front of the line to say we were there for our booking, we were already 10 minutes into the “time limit”. Plus everyone having to get balls & shoes wouldve been another 10 minutes at least so youre leaving 30 minutes to have 10 people bowl. Considering this is a venue where you can also order food & drinks during your time, how do they expect people to enjoy themselves? I said I wanted to speak to a manager because 1. There was no time limit on the email booking & 2. I wouldnt of booked it that way if it had been explained that this venue sets a time limit or over books themselves. I was met by a manager named Simon who seemed just as stressed out as the staff. I asked for a refund & was told either karaoke or a voucher which considering its about $400, no. The manager was trying to call me a liar about the phone call I had, saying “our staff wouldnt tell you that you can add them on the night” & “we would only be able to add them if we had space” but again, lanes hold 7 people each so it is not the customers fault for the information your staff provide or that you over book. The way this business is being run is appalling & if we dont get a full refund I will be reaching out to the ombudsman because there is nothing about time limits on your emails & your staff have given information over the phone that should be upheld. You should not be over booking & if you have time limits then you need to state that in writing. What was supposed to be a fun night for my nephews 18th has been tarnished by this company.

So the experience here was a bit up and down. The darts were really fun and the girls at the desk were really lovely and we’re trying their best to sort everything out. However, we bought two games of bowling and an escape room. The escape room was only 30 minutes long despite it being advertised as 50 minutes. For $38 each - definitely not worth it. As well as that, the room had speakers that would whisper clues to you through the game. But as the room wasn’t sound proof we couldn’t hear the clues and all we could hear was the music from the bowling alley. Then we did the bowling. The lanes kept breaking and had to get staff to fix it 3 times thought 2 games with 2 people. I also usually use bumpers when bowling (I am not a pro and also not a strong person). I asked for bumpers but I was declined as I was “too old” and only “under 12’s” could use them. I asked why and they said it was because adults are too strong and could break them when throwing the ball. Which is fair enough but at the same time the whole reason I wanted bumpers was because I am not strong enough to make the ball go straight towards the pins. This made my ball go into the gutter every time. This made it no fun which the whole point of bowling is to have fun! The security was also rude. My partner and I are 19 and graduated a year ago. My partner was wearing his senior jersey from school (it’s a shirt doesn’t matter what it means). It was after 8pm so we were asked to present ID before even looking at our ID the security looked my partner up and down and shook his head. How rude, if you’re going to judge at least don’t make it obvious. Anyway at the end of the night we were just so disappointed and upset and considering the activities cost $200 we thought it was only fair to ask for a refund as what we did definitely wasn’t worth it at all. We talked to the manger and he originally said no but then we tried to reason with him as we do not live in Sydney so we cannot use credit. He scuffed and said “I’d rather not as it’s $200” like mate I feel the same considering I worked for that and I want it back! Long story short we got the refund back but they could’ve been a lot nicer about it.

Went just for the Escape Rooms but found these place to be amazing to hang out at. From the deco on the walls to the friendly staff, there was so much more that made us feel the good vibe. Escape room was surprisingly good, I used to think it was a dumb experience but it was engaging and interesting!! Really cheap drinks and good value for money. Plus very clean and hygienic. What was best about the place was the staff, absolutely all staff were very friendly, attentive and professional. Very helpful, patient and smiley. Really good place for parties or a group gathering. Unique atmosphere and not as expensive as I thought considering the area. Really recommend it!!!.. Next time I'd definitely be going bowling and trying the food there! Update!... We went back for Bowling, food and drinks. It was great! The bowling part is really fun as it has super heroes stuff come up and it makes it pretty entertaining! Food was good but the portions were not as big, tasty but not quite there...In terms of drinks they are really well priced and as usual the Staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly! Would definitely recommend this for Xmas parties as cozy enough for teams and office parties. Also good fun and spacious enough to play a game and take it easy eating and drinking. There are also Karaoke Rooms, which look amazing and are probably one of the cleanest I've ever seen in Sydney so likely recommended, for a full experience do all activities, good value for Money!... :D

The bowling was very fun, except for the fact that they cut our second game while we still had three turns each. As you can imagine this was very annoying, but must've been more for the group after us, seeing as they would lose time after this unexpected surprise we had. If there is only ten minutes allowed for each person, for ten goes in a game, I can't imagine being that consistent. With the time it takes for the machine to replace the pins, and the excruciatingly slow screen, you lose at least half your time. Fortunately we didn't have to pay as we had used our vouchers. The person who we spoke to on the phone for our booking since our codes did not work, never mentioned anything about a time limit. Voucher cards could have easily stated 'ten minutes per person', this would have had a turn of events I'm sure for a few groups in the past and probably in the future. It is probably better to have ten minutes of wiggle time for each group, because right now it feels like these guys are just squeezing in as many groups as they can. So warning for those considering to bowl here, it strangely has a time limit.

Denigrating, racist, ableist and overall discriminatory experience. Don't spend your hard-earned money here, you'll just pay to be disrespected. If you're international and/or have a disability, this place does not care for you, and management looks down on you. They claim to be "inclusive and safe space" yet they talk down to a mixed group of internationals + Aussies, some of us with disability, saying we "dont know what we're saying or that it is not how things are done in Australia" Excuse me?? Some of us were born here, some of us been several years in the country! Staff and management that talked to us, had no good training on de-escalation of issues, and presented childish behavior by walking off when we were talking to them Not sure where that sensitivity and safe space shows. Well done Strike Bowling Darling Harbour, with your discriminatory experience.

Came in on a Thursday night looking to have a fun night bowling after work. Security (Eugene) was insanely strict for a Thursday night bowling.... he picked our friend out from the back of the line saying he can't come in. Wouldn't give a reason or any information on why. Just a flat no. Literally our friend had 1 drink!? And Eugene refused to budge even after speaking to our friend who was completely sober. We are now standing at the side and watching this security man turn away group after group. Later we find out they have full capacity inside. AND they didn't refund our booking. Great way to make a buck when you're overbooked I suppose.... terrible.

Best times celebrating our hard working team successes after a long year and before our busier times ahead. Simon really entertained and challenged us all with our activities and nothing was ever too much for all of the Strike team to host us. From booking our event to bowling us over with fun, food, drinks and good times. Food was amazing and arrived at our tables with smiles and hospitality that is hard to beat in a well presented venue and location in the hub of entertainment at Barangaroo. So highly recommend Simon and team for your next fun outing and relaxing times. Will definitely see you all again soon.

Went to an escape room here, the service was amazing with the man showing us to the room and telling us about it. he was absolutely amazing. This was about 4pm on Wednesday the 11th of October. There was no queue and it was very calm and quiet. Compared to other escape rooms, this one was better since there was clues put by the computer system that show you hints if you are being slow. I was in a pair and us two were able to get out after not doing an escape room in a long time with 4 minutes to spare. It was a very cool experience and I would want to do it again and look forward to it.

I really liked it there. I guess because the staffs were nice to me. I were leaving from my week long vacation and this place was my last quick stop before the airport. They kept my suit case while I blow. Everyone loved their mini burgers and the wine were hitting after 1 glass-not a light weight either lol. (Had 1 lil 12% beer before going there). Lastly the place was clean, including the bathroom . It was a Thursday night but it was very busy. Not sure about the prices! They also announced our names and lanes we were in.

I had an amazing time at Strike Bowling Club! The atmosphere was lively and the staff, especially Simon, went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a fantastic experience. Simon's dedication to entertaining the customers was truly outstanding. His enthusiasm and energy added so much fun to our evening. The facilities were top-notch, the lanes were well-maintained, and the food and drinks were delicious. I can't wait to visit again and enjoy another memorable night of bowling and entertainment at Strike Bowling Club!

Me and my girlfriend were visiting Sydney for a bit of a trip away, and we decided to go bowling for an evening on Monday the 20th November. We were warmly greeted by Brent, who provided outstanding customer service for the whole night, helping us with our queries and making sure we were having a good time. It was so exceptional, we came back again the following night, and Brent provided us again with his exceptional customer service. One of the best karaoke experiences in Sydney! The rooms are great and have such a wide selection of songs compared to other places, but what really makes it great is the staff, they truly go above and beyond to make sure you have a great time here. Came with a group of 7 and Brent made our night so fun, even joining in on some karaoke, we didn't want to leave! A big thank you to Brent and the other staff for making it a great experience, we will be back and look forward to seeing you guys again!

Went with family for a game of darts. Lane computer system crashed after a few minutes. Queued for more than 10 minutes to report fault. Waited another 20 minutes for an attendant to come and check what was happening. They had to cancel game and we chose to bowl instead. Bowling was really great fun. Area around us could have been cleaner. Tables left with dirty glasses etc for a very long time. Looks like they were short staffed. Great location. Great fun. Lovely cocktails.

This place threatened to kick us out anytime we had any sort of fun, this is no exaggeration. We stood up and accidentally knocked a stool over, an employee them came over and told us we will be kicked out. We are paying customers and expect a certain level of respect, if you value how you are treated I would highly recommend not coming here. Also the bowling is way over priced. The man above the Mac screen is the rudest, most horrible employee I have ever experienced.

Firstly would love to say a huge thank you to the team. Simon, Aya and Emily you guys made our Xmas work party something amazing and memorable. Would highly recommend these guys. Only down fall is if you book online 3 months beforehand the communication is beyond a joke and unexsistant (based in Melbourne) but the instore team are just beyond words and made everything go smoothly and all types of amazing. Book an event directly with them next time in store.

Second time round to Strike, I had some issues first time round and happy to consider that a one off as this time round we had a great experience. I had my daughters birthday here, the environment was great, the food served at the party was sufficient and the AC repaired which is excellent. The hostess was really great with the kids and the bowling / karaoke facilities worked seamlessly. Thankyou Strike team for providing a great experience.

Had an amazing night in karaoke room, was amazed at the efforts of staff and friendliness towards my group!! group had run into a Staff member and Sandra had provided a new drink on the ASAP as well as checked in to see if we were ok many times making our night wonderful, we loved all the smiles and dance moves by the staff. definitely recommend coming back again!

A friend and I were sitting outside quietly watching the football. We were told we weren't allowed to order anymore drinks unless we each ordered a main meal each. We had already eaten a large bowl of chips at the place and had lunch beforehand. We weren't being loud at all or making a scene of any sort, yet still refused service unless we ordered their food..

Wow. This is exactly the hospitality you want on a Saturday night. We were lucky enough to deal with Simon and his crew this evening. Their commitment to ensuring their guests are enjoying themselves had us staying at strike well beyond our initial intentions, and we’re thankful to the team for such a great night. Keep up the top class service and experiences!

You can do bowling and karaoke here right in the heart of the city. We were offered to buy a drink at least $6 and get a free game of bowling. Pretty good deal to me! We had a great time. Staff seem to be working hard and the place is clean and balls put away regularly. There’s bar food too and you could easily hold an event or party here.

Situated conveniently along the Harbour, this spot is ideal for a fun outing with friends. The combination of a bar, bowling, and karaoke makes it a go-to destination. I plan to return for sure. Notably, the toilets are well-maintained, and the staff is both friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience.

Terrible place, they automatically end your game even if you haven’t finished after some allotted time that was not made clear. I thought I bought one full game of bowling not 20 minutes of bowling. We were shocked and angry to have our nearly completed game just dissappear. Do not go bowling here it is a shocker.

With a litre worth of cocktails in my hand this place didn't need to be as good as it was. Excellent fast service when ordering from the QR codes and food that is so ridiculously more-ish. If Bowling's not your thing it doesn't matter because they've got it all; escape rooms, karaoke and litre cocktails!

Myself and a couple of friends are visiting Sydney from the US and had Simon help us with karaoke and bowling. He was OUTSTANDING!! By far the best customer service I have ever received. I’ve been meaning to come to this place for a couple weeks and my partner and I officially went in! The cocktails, drinks and atmosphere are absolutely amazing and I do want to give a little shout out to a security guard called Mohamad made us feel so welcome and was so friendly!!

Great place for a fun team activity with work or friends (10 lanes in total available for hire). Staff are super friendly and for anyone whose not into bowling there's pool tables to keep your occupied and also table service. Definitely recommend if you can get the boss to pay ;)

Came to strike with an organisation for children with disabilities, we were helped by a man named Simon who made our experience seamless for not only the kids but our volunteers too! He was amazing and we thank him and all the staff for giving Friendship Circle an amazing day!

We booked in advance for escape room and bowling (total of 2 hours booking). Escape room was delayed and after that our bowling game was cut in the middle of the game (15 mins BEFORE our booking time ended) because someone else needs to play.. Manager was ruled and unhelpful.

Went here on Saturday night with a group, we bowled and hired a karaoke room last minute. Great night and staff member Daniel totally made our experience! Super guy, very professional but still good fun at the same time! Places need more people like him, will def be back!

Vibes, immaculate. Atmosphere, amazing. I loved every bit of it! When you want to go out but don’t wanna go clubbing, come have fun here! Say hello to Simon for me! He was so funny, the jokes kept flowing; find him and he will brighten up your experience here.

Venue itself was ok, however the bouncers at the front were horrible and on the typical power trip. The irony in almost being refused entry after 2 drinks because we were intoxicated but then greeted with competitions for free drinks all night was ridiculous.

Fun place to bowl, have fun at karaoke, play pool and have drinks. Alcoholic drinks were on the pricier end compared to other places in Sydney. My only complaint would be that the music is a bit too loud at times and wish it could be softer.

Have been here dozens of times and never got a disappointing experience. The place has great vibes on weekend and the staff is always cheerful and friendly. The food options are also really cheap and tasty. My favourite bowling spot!!

Omg, a fantastic spot. I hadn't been bowling for years and couldn't believe how efficient and friendly the staff were. The fact that there is food and alcohol served was brilliant. I highly recommend this place for a fun time.

My groups of friends and I got kicked out because one of us was dressed a Michael jackson on the triller with a green zombie make-up. ir was too "black" for the manager " is dark make up was making custumer uncomfortable".

We did an escape room and bowling. Simon checked us in and came to check on us so many times. He made the whole experience so interactive and amazing. Best escape room brief we’ve ever had, thanks for doing the most!

Really fun night as a work function, really well priced drinks. If you’re lactose just lie or don’t say anything. It’s better to take the pain than the lactose free food. Karaoke needs more Carly Rae Jepsen

What an awesome venue! Have been to a strike bowling bar before, but none with Interaction with staff as awesome as this. Will definitely visit back here to bowl when in sydney. Simon, what a legend!

Low key really good fun. Great food, really awesome staff, drinks are kinda expensive but absolutely worth it, they put lots of alcohol in it and it tastes really good. I recommend the brisket pizza.

Decent bowling spot. Easy QR code ordering at the bowling lanes. Can get quick busy so recommend booking ahead of time.

Great fun and lovely staff, fantastic venue for parties, has bowling, karaoke and escape rooms. Great bar and food.
