Market Square is a captivating destination that deserves every one of its five stars! The beautifully preserved historic buildings, charming shops, and vibrant atmosphere make it a must-visit spot in the city. From the moment you step foot into the square, you'll be transported back in time. Whether you're exploring the architecture, browsing through unique shops, or enjoying the local events, Market Square offers an unforgettable experience that showcases the city's rich cultural heritage. Don't miss out on this timeless gem!
To me, this is part of Market Square. Historic Produce Row, an alley running thru Market Square “dead ends” into this building. There is an indoor food court & lots of little shops with all kinds of goodies. This place is huge. Very wide isles between the shops that fill with people every weekend. Be ready to spend half a day looking around this place. Many curiosities.
Market square us a historic place set in downtown San Antonio and offers plenty of goods like you'd find in Mexico. However it has become much of a tourist trap. The prices are getting somewhat ridiculous for what the merchants ask for. If you want some better deals you could drive down to Nuevo Laredo for the day.
Great place to shop. So many interesting artifacts. Fun to people watch. One can barter if one chooses to. Open air dining and next door to MiTierra. Fun tourist attraction but also for locals. Bought some beautiful chimes and they had run out of pecan pralines. Settled for great scones.
This Mexican drink store is the least honest store I've ever encountered. The photo showed that they put price tag of $3 and $5 for 2 size cups. We picked the smaller cup and order a kids drink shaved ice, and they charged $7. Really!? $7 for a small cup kids drink without alcohol!?
Fue una experiencia increible. Habia la celebracion de primavera y las gorditas de maiz con chicharron me encantaron. Me comi dos en total y hubiera querido comerme otras dos pero son de gran tamaño. Se los recomeindo.
Step inside to experience all of San Antonio's heritage. Weekends are a unique experience usually with live music and artisan cultural boots throughout. Check out the Famous MI Tierra bakery and fine Mexican Quisine
I love all the items they have! I like that they have indoor and outdoor so if you want to stay out of the heat. The food vendors are good too. I sure wish they had a cold coffee stand though. That would be great.
I Love going to the Market Square. Specially during fiesta. We always get to see great bands there. And of course eat and drink. And we have all of our favorite restaurants there also.
Very disappointed. We got there at 5:00 and the larger stores were closed. The signs in the windows said they close M-Th at 4:00. We understood that they were open til 6:00.
This is the Air conditioned part of Market Square where everything is just slightly more expensive and custom. And you will find Mexico imports and all sorts of what nots.
Market Square is always colorful and bright, a must see on any trip to San Antonio. Even if you are wilting from the summer heat, the Mercado will brighten your mood.
Great place to park on their roof and catch the bus to wherever you want to go. and of course, El Mercado is right there along with our favorite Mi Tierras
Lots of interesting shops with a variety of merchandise. There were stores that were closing around 4. We had checked the website and it said closing at 6.
Its a good two hour walk. Indoors with cool AC, lots of vendors; most of which take cash. Drinks, snacks, live music. Couldnt find free parking :/
It's a really neat place to walk through. A true Mexican market, and they wheel and deal on items. Food court, bar, and stage inside.
We had a lot of fun exploring this spot. Be sure to shop around for the best price as a lot of items are carried in various shops.
Endless amount of products so colorful that it's hard to choose from such a giant selection. Great place to find affordable gifts
Love this place, everything is beautiful, all the people are kind and helpful, u shop here every time i visit San Antonio
Went for fiesta events great music great bands saw Los Palominos Ram n Roberto Pulido great show yay ❤ …
So many great bargains and love supporting local vendors and small businesses! You get alot for your money!
Like visiting Mexico just a little more expensive! Regular margarita and a fantastic mango margarita.
I hate that this place isn't live or lit up through out the year only when its fiesta..thats a bummer
It's meant to be a tourist spot., it has gone way overboard on cheaply made yet expensive trinkets.
Nice place to walk around. But most stores have the same things, just different prices
Fun place, kind of small, but nevertheless entertaining fun for killing time shopping.
Great place to see lot of culture. Gewd food, music, and place to hang out. Me likey.
WOW! The colors, the clothes, the knick knacks! This place SCREAMS Fiesta! Love it!
I don't remember the occasion but it was a good choice and I will go again
Just walking for exercise. Nice place. No police anywhere to be seen. Why?
Very Latino, all Latino. Reminiscent of Mexico City in the early-mid 70's.
I love this place, I'm 73 and have been coming there since I was a kid.
You can find all kinds of neat treats here, from hats to a full outfit.
Very Nice Family environment. People are nice with disabilities..
Their food stands are very expensive to eat something out there.
