Geeez!!! I just waited exactly 18 minute on the phone waiting for Maroondah Hospital reception to answer. I have a breast screen tonight and need to know whether the entrance to the breastscreen dept & carpark, are still the same as my last appointment, or do I go elsewhere now considering they've been doing renovations at the hospital. Upon my call getting answered after 18 minutes, I asked my question, only to be told by the man who took my call, that he had no idea, so he'd put me directly through to the breast screen department. That phone rang for a few seconds, only for me to be then told by an answering service that the phone was unattended and to leave a message. Seriously??? This is pretty poor service by one of our major eastern hospitals in Melbourne. I have a disability which doesn't allow me to be able to walk too far. Hopefully they'll get back to me before my appointment time, but I seriously doubt it. Guess I'll just wander along aimlessly from different streets and car parks until I find it myself. In the dark as well may I say. Very poor form from the Hospital Reception to just fob me off with a 2 second "I have no idea" answer, after waiting 18 minutes for him to take my call. He had no idea??? Really?? Why is he working there if he can't tell a patient what entrance a patient needs to enter for the Breastscreen area. Bloody pathetic! While you are waiting for them to answer their main reception phone, you get a recorded message asking for you to be polite when phone is answered. Are they serious? They wonder why people aren't polite, if this is the service they provide. Polite! At least here I can get my anger off my chest. What a bloody joke! Pick up your act Maroondah Hospital and put an up to date map of your hospital and its departments & car parks on the internet, instead of the one at present that says 2021

Had a smoke, was actually quite nice with the trees around. Much more relaxed than Box Hill

Pity the lift was out of service on the day. Too bad if you were a wheelchair visitor

Nicely located close to the hospital, it can be expensive for long stays

Easy access disabled parking spaces, elevator to hospital entrance

Fantastic carpark, always plenty of room

Lift needs a clean.
