Wow, wow, wow! A great restaurant both in terms of quality, fresh food and service - shoutout to Sundar for fantastic, friendly and attentive service. My husband and I ventured out of Yarraville and so pleased we did. We shared a Focaccia Agliata (pizza bread with garlic oil and mozzarella) for a starter - a great tasting, authentic wood-fired pizza. For main course I had the Ravioli Bianco which was truly homemade spinach and ricotta ravioli with butter and sage cause and parmigiano reggiano - delicate, delicious. My husband had the linguine allo scoglio with calamari, octopus, mussels and tiger prawns tossed in a prawn sauce which looked amazing and he loved it. I've already booked to dine again next week - going to be a tough decision as the pasta's were great but I'm also wanting to try a pizza or two.

The Gnocchi and bruschetta are both scrumptious, kids meals are very decent servings for the cost and my kids enjoyed them. While the focaccia was crunchy as opposed to fluffy and soft like one would normally be it was nice. Unfortunately the service from some staff members and their behaviour let this restaurant down. The two male staff members working tonight were lovely, both kind and friendly. The two younger females staff members were sadly catty and speaking poorly of patrons including myself acting although we couldn’t hear them, we were eager to finish our meals and leave the restaurant. Its disappointing this behaviour happens in a restaurant in this day and age.

As a family of four, we recently had the pleasure of experiencing a truly delightful lunch at this establishment. Our children relished their Margaritas, and the Hawaiian pizza left us all craving for more. What truly stood out, besides the delicious food, was the impeccable service. The staff was not only courteous but also highly professional. The ambiance both indoors and outdoors added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. Whether you prefer the cozy interior or the refreshing outdoor seating, this place has it all. In our opinion, it's safe to say that this is undoubtedly the best Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. I had a wonderful dining experience at Mascalzone! The service was exceptional, with attentive staff making us feel right at home. The arancino was a delightful appetizer, perfectly crispy on the outside and bursting with flavorful fillings. The pappardelle al Ragú was a true Italian delight – the pasta was cooked to perfection, and the rich, savory ragú sauce was simply mouthwatering. And, the pizza? It's beyond belief! The crust was thin and crispy, and the toppings were fresh and incredibly tasty. Mascalzone truly knows how to make an unforgettable pizza. I highly recommend this Italian restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience with outstanding service and delicious Italian cuisine.

Had dinner here tonight and we were all absolutely rapt with our meals. Such good quality and fresh ingredients, and so delicious. The service was outstanding, and the price is more than reasonable. Will definitely be coming back and highly recommending to anyone who will listen.

We had dinner for the first time here and thoroughly enjoyed ALL our meals! It was a cold wet night so the ambience of the venue felt really cosy. Lovely staff and service Coffee was On point made to perfection I ordered the GNOCCHI CON POLLO E PANCETTA and it literally melted in my mouth My go-to gnocchi now. Overall great food and experience compliments to the chefs ✌️

Just enjoyed an amazing pizza at this beachside gem! The combination of flavors was out of this world, and it was the perfect seaside dining experience. Thank goodness we found this place through an app. Absolutely amazing food! Love all of the dishes we ordered for dine-in, so we ordered more for takeaway. It was so good, you'll feel bad for paying discounted price. We'll most certainly be back here again and not mind paying the price in full.

The best pizza in Hobson's Bay bar none. Excellent customer service and wonderful food at a reasonable price. This place puts everything else on Pier Street to shame, and if you call yourself an Altona local Mascalzone is a must!

The food here has consistently gone downhill over the past year. The service is generally efficient but not particularly experienced or knowledgeable. Over several visits we have tried various pizza, pasta and salad dishes and unfortunately, it’s all now 3 star food at best.

Lunched at Mascalzone in Altona on father's day. 7 of us dined with an array of different meals. I had the seafood hot pot at $32.50. Most meals were a little expensive. Service was good. But coffee was warm at best which was a bit of a downer.

Spent a lovely evening with friends and we all enjoyed our meals. The pork ribs and lamb shanks were so tender and the parma was very tasty. The side salads were fresh and well dressed and delicious. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Went to the Williamstown one a couple of times and since they open in Altona we have never been so satisfied with our food. The gentleman who served us has been the best I have not seen such great and pleasant guy. This always goes well with their delicious food. I would highly recommend people to come and enjoy the experience. Will definitely come back every few weeks.

Ribs were not very hot. Good though. Liked the thin apple salad. Waiter was very attentive, to one table. Not mine, but still did the job well enough. Tiramasu was different. Unique cake cream mix in a cup with real chocolate.

Ordered a pizza and a pasta. Waited for 45 minutes and no food was served. Customers who came later were already served. Upon asking for an update, there was no apology nor urgency. After waiting another 10 minutes decided to leave. Toilet was filthy and place was freezing.

The food here is simply amazing. And we ordered seafood & chicken breast. It’s located near the train station & obviously the beach is just around the corner. Having a stroll by the beach after meal here is an attraction for coming back here again, for sure. More
