Myself, my mother and my daughter attended Medical One Sydenham today for my daughters 3rd and final Meningococcal immunisation. We were waiting for the Nurse who had been dealing with an emergency to come back to us. Once she returned, she had asked multiple times what vaccine we are here for, I explained her 3rd meningococcal, she asked do you have it with you? I stated no, I’ve never had to have it with me I usually attend and the nurse just has it. She stated she was new and asked again what needle it was she was getting I stated the meningococcal 3rd one. She stated “Boostrix” I said I’m not sure what it’s called. She left to go and get the vaccine. In the meantime I was trying to get onto my Medicare app to check the immunisation history certificate for my daughter to check the name of the immunisation as I started to feel uncomfortable with how many times I was being asked what vaccine she was getting and the uncertainty from the nurse. She had came back and I asked if she could get the dr as I was uncomfortable and she stated she was doing her job and she needs to give the needle I said that’s fine I’m aware of that but can you please go and get the dr as I’m uncomfortable. The dr ended up coming in and she proceeded to tell the dr what I said which was untrue. That I stated I didn’t feel comfortable with her injecting my daughter, to which I then stopped her and corrected her and stated that I did not say that. I specifically stated that I was not comfortable and wanted to speak to the dr. She continued to say that I said that I didn’t want her to inject my daughter which I never said, I even had my mother in the room who heard the entire conversation and agreed that I did not state those words. The nurse then walked out and I was left with the dr who was dealing with an emergency and had to come back and we were again left in the room not knowing what was happening and by this point in time 35mins after my daughters appointment time who was now becoming very restless (12months old). I was left feeling so uncomfortable and felt sick to my stomach that something wasn’t right and I left. I am so glad I left and went home and did my research of the immunisation she was due for because she in fact had stated ”Boostrix” which is the wrong vaccine she was meant to be having!!!!! She was meant to be having a “Bexsero”. I’m so glad I trusted my gut feeling as a mother and left. I would hate to be dealing with this after the wrong vaccine was administered!!!!!! Absolutely not acceptable! I especially do not appreciate being accused of saying something I didn’t say, let alone the wrong vaccine about to get injected into my daughter! I am extremely appalled and shaken.

Dr. Dusan sajdak one of the most caring and amazing GP. My life without him would not be the same. In 2008 i had basketball injury,after my operation, I was suffering from Complex chronic regional pain syndrome which resulted me having many complications which include being paralysed for 2 year suffering from seizures, tremors, migraines and asthma. In 2016, he started treating me for my asthma and other chronic conditions and with a multidisciplinary approach under Dr Dusan guidance I am happy to say that after 12 years of suffering, in 2018 I was able to walk again pain-free, seizure-free and tremor-free. Dr. Dusan went above and beyond to save my life. He is excellent and I trust him completely. I have been to over 20 specialists the best of the best, but they had no idea how to start treating me but Dr. Dusan is one those doctors that never gives up on you even if it’s the worst scenario that is one of his best qualities. If you are looking for an extremely thorough Doctor with compassion and exceptional ability you have found him. I can’t never thank him enough for how is he has changed my life and my family. He now our family doctor and that was correct decision made. Also, the staff at the front reception at Medical one Sydenham are very supportive and caring. They always put the patient first no matter what!! Thank you for all you’ve done!!

I see Dr Hocking most of the times Sometimes Dr Cool Always has a solution to the problem No guessing games To give you a history of managing your health And well being they have been my family doctor for over 20 years and always there 7 days a week They help me manage my diabetes heart disease cholesterol blood pressure weight loss and more but what is important they really provide a service and empathy second to none and there team of hard working receptionists planning the day I I was put on a care plan and health is everything so there is no amount of $$$$ that can be a positive guidance of your health I find Dr Hocking has a beautiful and professional demeanour about himself and leads by example to his colleagues in the practice Most recently I went in to have a lump removed from my head and all consideration was taken to how it would look like afterwards I had a 4 cm by 1cm lump removed which was benign they had it tested and when I had the stitches done it was so finely done so cosmetically pleasing results I didn’t need to see a plastic surgeon Dr Hocking did it himself I think it’s important that if you see a doctor be comfortable with who you choose and Dr Hocking has a dedicated team of professionals who understand the needs of local residents

The Doctors I have seen are great. The receptionists are not. They are in desperate need of an intensive customer service course. When you stand there, at the front waiting to be served (Served I might add as I am the customer) and they say hello, (the phone rings) and they ALWAYS put their hand up and start talking to the person on the other line!!?? Phone calls come AFTER. Not at the start or during your engagement with a client. EVER. And more over, when standing in line and ALL THREE have phones to their ears, they never once acknowledge your presence. Once off the phone, if they so care to do so, they would rather talk with the other receptionist or other staff who just happen to be coming past behind them before even considering your existence. I come here ONLY because of the doctors. And I guess you'd say; "Well, why else would you come here"? That's not the point. The point is, it is a customer focused workplace. Not a damned production line. It is VERY easy to employ manners and a friendly approachable smile and attitude. For some it is hard to maintain it I guess. But these people must work very hard at being obnoxious as they are quite successful at it.

I have been coming to this Clinic for 15 years plus I have found that all the Receptionists I have dealt with over all these years have been very courteous helpful and caring as well as all the Doctors. I have recently come out of hospital and needed to come to the surgery to see the Doctor who was very understanding and caring. Tanya the Receptionist could not have done enough for me she was compassionate and thoughtful and just today her help was invaluable as I have Covid and needed her help. I believe these ladies do not get enough thanks even through Covid they were all fantastic they go above and beyond our expectations and I put that down to their wonderful Practice Manager Leeanne who I have also dealt with on numerous occasions. Well done ladies you all deserve accolades plus.

We came today to see Dr Peter Nightingale and all I can say is AMAZING we have never seen him before and literally got him as a next available appointment safe to say we will definitely be back to see him. I found him to be very friendly listened too very empathetic understanding and knowledgeable didn’t just give us antibiotics and creams like we are use to getting he really made a call that was necessary to the situation my 18 month old had I have 2 regular doctors and what Dr Peter Gave us in that appointment completely exceeded what my regular doctors have ever given us I felt listened to I felt like we were really treated with the utmost respect and given the advice we have been seeking for months. Thank you so much Dr Peter I will definitely be recommending you to everyone.

I only go to this clinic for convenience of location. I’ve had maybe 5-10 appointments in the last 6 months and not once have I had a good experience. People seem to love Dr Hocking but when I went to him with an issue (to do with a previous injury) he said “just wait a couple of weeks and see how you feel” …. $92 later, seeking a second opinion (so another $92), an MRI ($300) and a diagnosis of arthritis, it’s safe to say Dr Hocking did not provide me with adequate care that day. That’s only one of many experiences I could list since approximately October 2021. Receptionists are lovely however could improve their communication skills, there have been a number of times the communication has been terrible.

The reception staff tried to literally snatching my scripts out of my hands because she thought i was just going to walk out without paying when i was standing there looking at my banking to try and get the payment sorted so unprofessional! I was so embarrassed! not only that the doctor charged me an extended appointment when it was long from her not knowing what to do and needing clarification from another doctor. Even if people go to walk out it is not the receptions right to try and grab something from your hand, you get most back from medicare and out of pocket you just cop and not allow that person back. i have taken this further due to how badly i was treated. you could tell i wasnt going anywhere.

Dr Dusan Sajdak has been one of the most caring doctors to go above and beyond. I haven't met all of the other doctors but every doctor so far and aswel as all the staff are absolutely 10/10. Dr Dusan doesn't really understand how much his changing and helping my life especially with the chronic pain and stress side. Don't ever loose this man and any of the staff or doctors for that matter. I'm a handful to deal with yet always been shown with nothing but respect and kindness. I only hope I can make him and the staff as happy and proud as they have for me. Thank you to all at Medical One.

Had an appointment yesterday morning for mt five year old son. He had a high fever, vomitting and rash all over his body. Was assured it’s just viral , and that no treatment apart from Panadol and neurofen was required. Later that evening he deteriorated further, took him to hospital where he was given iv antibiotics (and a script for ten days oral antibiotics) with a diagnosis of scarlet fever. This is not viral. Why do gps these days insist everything is viral, glad I listened to my gut and not this doctor! Kids can die from this is they don’t get the antibiotics .

What’s happened to our health care system! Unless you are wealthy you can’t been seen! Medical one has forgotten the poor and less fortunate in the introduction of the new fee structure! My poor mother went to the clinic with chest pain and dizziness and was refused medical care this morning because unfortunately we didn’t have the money to pay for her to be seen! No duty of care. We have been attending the clinic since day one and can tell you we won’t be back. This was disgraceful service by the rude receptionist staff.

Had a 9am appointment and told to wait in the car park. At 10am there’s still no word from the doctor. Contact reception who said they’ll contact the doctor. 30 mins later still nothing. Try calling reception and it rings out several times. Eventually get through and the receptionist says the same thing, “I’ll let the doctor know you’re waiting” then hung up. Not very professional. 2 hours later and still no word. How can they be running so far behind for a 9am appointment? Poor communication. Better off elsewhere.

I have been going to Medical One, Sydenham for a number of years not only for its convenience with the pharmacy and Melbourne Pathology in the same building, but also for the professional staff and doctors that work there. The reception staff are always friendly, courteous and helpful. The nurses are caring and the doctors are thorough. My entire family, from my elderly parents to my adult children, also attend the clinic for all their needs. We have never had a reason to search elsewhere.

If I could give a 0 rating I would. Receptionist were so rude and unwelcoming! Doctor was an HOUR late which was an absolute joke. Doctor also mis diagnosed my daughter and told me he doesn’t know why she has a temperature and just go to the hospital instead, also prescribed a dose of antibiotics ‘just because’? Went to hospital and they were appalled at the lack of knowledge of this doctor as she very clearly had croup after a 5 min check from the hospital. Never ever will come back

I haven't found a good medical clinic since I was at uni (generally they've been 5min rushed appointments) but was recommended this place by an old boss after not having much luck after moving to the area and over the last 6 years they've been great especially Dr Dusan Sajdak. Also I see Dr Ben Winters when Dusan is booked out and he is very nice too. Generally the doctors are on time as well. I would recommend this place highly!

best doctor is hocking, best doctor in the western suburbs. been my doctor for over 10 years. coull is good too, dusan i know has been good and various others. BUT buut! the receptionists are the rudest except barbara. They force you to wear and purchase a mask with your money even if you are exempt. this is discrimination. they are also always in a hurry or rude on the phone. how hard is it to be nice

Paid $101 since i hadnt been there before which is fine, but you would think it would come with some decent service, 2 and a half hours for a script i was needing badly, lucky i kept ringing or i would have been suffering all night. Still waiting for the medical certificate to come who knows when that will be. Do you need another $101 for the medical cert before its sent ?

It's very difficult to find a decent G.P clinic these days but I likely I ended up at Medical One - Sydenham. Receptionist Barbara was polite, informative, and understanding. Doctor Dusan Sajdak provided excellent care, knowledge, reassurance, as well as the appropriate referrals and scripts during our telehealth appointment. Thank you for your service and hospitality.

Sorry to say this medical centre is all about the money mind u not any better than other medical centres..unfortunately doctors in a hurry to get u out of there less than 5 minutes u pay $92 then they of course want to c u again so disappointed really ..receptionist rude too they keep u on hold forever for a simple question and give u attitude after.never again

Absolutely appalled at being charged $102 for a phone consultation which lasted just 3 minutes, the doctor was great but seriously that is just absurd to be charging this for a phone consult. That's the last time any of my family will attend this clinic, we have moved to aspire medical clinic who are wonderful and bulk bill.

Medical One and my doctor Michael he's very naes to me and I remember when I had my last appointment at the Sonshine hospital for the scan I told hem about that & he seat to me at going to you appointment I sed yes & he Lok at me we'd it's like he was telling me Godby for the last time.......

I saw Dr Hansa this week with a very bad case of the flu. She was very knowledgeable, attentive and caring. I loved that her style of management was to listen to my concerns and come to a conclusion together. I’ll be definitely back to see her as my regular GP.

I was denied the right to medical treatment here. I have a mask exemption and was told I have to have a phone appointment. Since the medical problem I was suffering from would require the doctor to observe my problem face to face how can this be appropriate.

I seen dr parvoo a few times his first interested isn't the patient it's in the person I'm with at the time my mental health hasn't been good since getting a feeding tube to which he fogged off hens I don't look depressed depression isn't always visible

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Doctor is on time, very experienced, knowledgeable and receptionists were very professional and helpful. Definitely would recommend. NOTE: does not bulk bill (I knew that before making an appointment)

Do not go here They charge $110 for the initial consultation and then if you are referred for a blood test they charge you 80 bucks just for a phone consultation for the results! RIDICULOUS! Also the receptionists are super rude Karen’s

On arrival for my appointment I was greeted by a receptionist named Tamsym. She was so friendly and made me feel less apprehensive about my consultation. I hope that management recognises her wonderful treatment of nervous patients.

Fantastic place. Been going for a little while now and never have to wait very long. Very streamlined. The girls at the front very friendly. Dr Manisha 10/10, spends quality time diagnosing. She actually cares, not just a number.

Worst experience. No value of patient's time. Only go there, if you have whole day with you and can wait endlessely for your turn. Even if you have a booked appointment doesn't matter. And on top of it they treat you rudely..

The doctors here have all been great. Our family has had to attend on urgent occasions and we were seen to promptly. The receptionists have always been helpful and Kelly especially has always been above and beyond friendly.

Dr Dusan Sajdak is the BEST Dr I have ever seen. He is welcoming, kind, very polite, and extremely knowledgeable and thorough. I cannot recommend him highly enough. If he moves to another clinic, so will I!

The last two doctors I saw here I had to wait for one hour, with an appointment. It’s not worth the cost you pay. The only doctors worth seeing, who run on time, are those who no longer take new patients.

Barbara a receptionist that works there Absolutely disgusting person of a human being. I rang and enquired about something very personal, she responded in a very rude way as if it were frowned upon.

I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. The receptionist that I spoke to, Kelly, was super helpful and lovely to deal with. The doctor and nurse that I saw were also caring and knowledgeable.

Mostly good doctors, reception staff are very customer orientated. Not all the doctors here have good bedside manners in my opinion but they are professional and clever.
