On Wednesday December 30th, I went to Meineke to get a oil change. When I went there they told me that I needed to replace my brake pads because they were 2 and 30s. I asked how much they told me 450.00. Told them I could not do that right now. The mechanic actually made a comment saying "it’s actually not safe and if they were to do a safety right now you would fail". First of all my car is a 2017 with under 60k. I go home, my boyfriend comes home and we get new brake pads, my boyfriend takes them off and they are almost BRAND NEW, do not need to be changed. (see pictures) Anyways they finish the oil change and I leave. As I am driving all I can smell is oil, however didn't think anything of it because sometimes that happens. Next day the 31st, I take my son to the doctors, head back home and I can STILL smell the oil and seems to be getting worse. I check under my hood and there is oil EVERYWHERE because they did not put the cap on! I freaked out, and they sent a tow truck and then expected me to pick my car back up and I had to find a ride. Told to come right away because they wanted to go home. When I went back there, the man told me that my cap was worn out and that it popped off. remember my car is only a 2017... I know that it’s not true because what are the odds of it popping off right when I got an oil change. I was then told that I would get a free oil change the next time I go again. Which I will not be because I don't trust them at all because everything that they said to me was a lie, and this could have seriously damaged my car & also they put my family at risk! I felt the need to write this review because how I was treated was incredibly wrong and I truly believe it’s because I am a women who doesn't know and they think I am venerable and don't know things! absolutely terrible.

Allow me to qualify this by saying that although I have relied on reviews a number of times in my life I have never written one. I am doing so now to let you know that you definitely should take your vehicle to this garage if it is in need of repair. The service, expertise, work ethic and kindness shown during the course of my vehicle repair will never be forgotten and will often be talked about. I am from Calgary and decided to drive instead of fly to Winnipeg for work. I knew I had a small oil leak and looked for a garage close to my hotel for convenience. The “small” oil leak turned out to be a significant motor problem. Ghassan, the owner, explained the problem to me and my brother (on the phone) in great detail. Diana, the front desk manager, was efficient in finding the part I needed (a motor) and kept me posted on the progress of the repair despite her being busy with 1000 other things. I put a “rush” on my car and there were an number of mechanics who stayed late and arrived early to work tirelessly on it to get me on the road. It was blistering cold outside and Ghassan would not let me leave till he was certain the car worked flawlessly. It did and it does. Not only did I get a fantastic motor replacement at an incredibly good price I have enough MEINEKE points for an oil change. (I love points) Take your car to this garage. You will not regret it.

Had 3 different vehicles and tried out many different mechanics city wide over the last 10 years. This place is hands down the BEST service I have ever experienced!! Knowledgeable mechanics who take their time to explain everything AND take you right into the garage and under your hoisted vehicle to show you exactly what's going on with it and they take time to educate you on all of your options before making a decision and they do everything in their power to make sure they are giving you the most affordable option available. Cheapest oil change place in all of winnipeg! They gave me complimentary wheel alignment AND they even let me use their own personal vehicle while mine was in the shop (probably cuz I'm a loyal customer and always come here). My sister also started coming here, she's low income and can't afford to fix her car all at once. They fixed it up for her same day and allowed her to pay them back in payments.. Interest free!!! They even saved her an additional $700 by giving her a second opinion (when her previous mechanic was trying to charge her for unnecessary parts and labor) They even share snacks with customers too... Like who even does that??.. I feel so comfortable and taken care of every time I come here. Will never go anywhere else again! Always satisfied customer :)

Came to Winnipeg July 2019. I had my car inspected for MPI licensing and had oil changes done at this garage. Enjoyed corresponding with the owners and always had a good laugh. Quick service and good rates. Two months ago my 2014 escape motor had water leaking into the cylinders thru the block. The motor was not repairable. I asked them if they could handle the job and they said yes. They ordered a used motor with 65,000 kls and installed it within 4.5 days. I picked up the car and took it for a test drive. I was amazed with the power and operation of this newer motor. The engine compartment was washed clean after the installation and I was a happy camper. But it doesn’t stop there. My greatest review I can give this company is the way they interact with the customers. It is the personal interaction when you request service and it’s the feeling that your dealing with friends. It’s a friendly smile and handshake that had heart and you want to come back. It’s the greatest feeling when you can make friends with your local garage. Edwin

This is the worst shop ever . The woman in the front service her name Diana think she knows everything and I when to get an estimate on a window regulator and she give me a price labor there hundred dollars and try to over charge me on the parts she the best she could do is 300 dollars. The the is because is an expensive car. I don't have much money so I when to maxime muffler and midas and they were half of the in labor and parts they so me the estimate labor Guide software and and the they are over charging because is a new business and they are closing down that why they need to do this.there no regards for customers and carrying. And that woman act like she owns the meineke business. So I looked on every one's reviews so understand why is 5 out 5 reviews because all this people posting are friends and family of the owner. So that is not right in does not qualified has honest reviews goggles should not allow to do this. It is false reviews and should look in to it.

The pandemic has been very hard on local businesses so I give a shout out to Meineke Garage for being such a great neighbourhood business and we want them to continue to help our neighbours. We have brought our Meditation Centre’s car here for the last four years and can’t express enough on how amazingly honest and skillful they have been. They have maintained our vehicle for us and have never overcharged and only did the most necessary work and gave honest future predictions on what to plan for so our vehicle is safely maintained. I just went in today for something and they said it has been hard on their business for the last few months and they even lost their receptionist (so be patient with them as they are most likely working on cars when you arrive, just ring the bell). If you are looking for a reliable and honest mechanic, please try them out.

I went there because I have had bad service at BMW. When I went there the shop was already closed and staff was leaving. I asked if they were open and they weren't he said . He asked if I needed something and once I told him my experience he told me to come in they booked me in the very next day. Their service was thorough and very reasonably priced. The staff and mechanics explained every detail of the work they did making sure I understood why the work needed to be done. They were very friendly and accommodating. I will be giving them referrals from now on based on their service, experience and customer satisfaction guarantee. Great place to have all your car needs taken care of.

Went to get AC repaired, they said they could look at it the next day and they didn't get to it. Not a big deal. The following day they gave an estimate, I approved and they got it to me with quick turnaround. However they put in an additional blower motor, not a part of the estimate adding another $200 onto my bill as a surprise. Then they didn't install the blower motor correctly, and it had 2 screws missing, and was leaking water into the cabin. Taking it to another mechanic now, will not go back.

Brought a friend's car down for an oil change, service was quick, staff was very friendly and the inspection was very thorough, they let us know what was wrong with the car (just a broken flexpipe), and weren't pushy when told that repairing it just wasn't an option. The foreman John has about as much integrity as anyone could hope for in this field. Five stars, been to a lot of good shops in town, never been as impressed as I was here, would certainly bring my own cars here.

I took my car to dodge three times and they even replaced my power steering system and could not get it right . Leaking and a huge amount of time wasted . Sure there are cheaper places , but you get that guarantee if the work is botched . My dealership ,which attempted to fix the same thing less than a year ago was not willing to be accountable at all. It's not about warranty or price ,it's about getting it done right. These guys did it .

Terrible service. All about money, no license mechanics. they are a bunch of rats and thief. And is strange that all the good reviews are middle east people and family only very strange. they are all about getting your money. Even that ugly witch in the front, be careful she is a real snake she is all about getting your money. That's why she put that fake smile. Please stay away from this shop if you care about your car and your wallet.

Bad service! I was a walk-in customer for a tire change over with simple instruction. Don't install back the wheel locks. I disappointedly drove out with locks still on and when I get back home, I found out my tire pressure are all down to 25psi. Never adjusted by the rushing middle eastern fitter. I hope they did not over torqued the nuts. Looks like all good reviews are from their relatives and friends. Don't get deceived!

It's very bad. They don't have professional ethics. They don't know how to fix the car. Really, they ruin it instead of fixing it. And they give people safety papers for a fake car. I am really miserable to deal with them, this cost me more than $ 5000. I do not recommend them to anyone. I filed a complaint against them. They are really scammers. They only care about money.

They have been a good and trusted shop. I had a flat tire and I took my car there, the owner asked me about my tires and I mentioned that I bought them at canadian tire and had a warranty on them. he advised me to go to CT instead since I had a warranty with them(i forgot about that) . He did not mislead me, he was honest. I appreciate them !

Great experience with friendly staff. Went in for an alignment with an older vehicle, Some older rusted parts were seized in the process and ended up not being reusable. They made sure the parts were quickly replaced and the vehicle was back on the road as soon as possible.

Friendly garage who is undergoing a franchise disagreement. The staff are always helpful and willing to fit me in last minute. They provide options as to how I can fix my problem in addition to letting know what may have caused my issue. I would suggest given them a try.

Great work on my van. plus they kept there word on the estimate that they gave me 6 months ago. They poured tons of hours into my van mainly because most of the bottom parts were rusted out and crumbling. I thank them so much for fixing my van.
