I agree with their most recent, and most liked review. I understand that people have different opinions, but these are my personal experiences. By the Oxford dictionary's definition of 'bullied', I was bullied by a student and a teacher during my time at this school too. I was too scared to tell anyone about my experience with the teacher, so my parents told the former head of year twice. However, the former head of year would tell me to give her another chance and that 'she thinks we would get along well' which made me feel invalidated and sad... considering that this teacher made me cry after almost every lesson and I would be happy for the few lessons when I didn't cry after. Writing this just made me remember when we had to film a video assignment, and I filmed it after her class and my eyes were puffy from the tears. But a positive was that they had counselling services so that helped with the terrible experiences. I caught up with a friend from this school recently and she told me she remembered when I said I went to counselling because of that teacher. I used to wish I would never wake up again because of the things that happened to me during this time. Also, when I wrote a complaint about classroom bullying (damaging other students' property, stealing of items from peoples' locker, unwanted verbal and physical interactions etc.) for my former homeroom teacher (FHT), FHT said that they would send it to the head of year and higher ups. However, towards the end of the year when another student also had enough, I found out that the higher ups never even knew about it because FHT never even sent it to them. Which sucks because it took a lot of courage to even write & send that. It feels like the bullying is swept under the rug... However, there have been times when the school have dealt with it well and rung the other party's parents up. It didn't stop the bad behaviour, but it was alright for that time. I haven't even talked about the worst thing yet but that's too... emotional to type up. Now onto the positives: They have a good music program. They encourage their students to join the music and sports programs. I think that musical students can thrive at this school in regards to their musical life alone. They also have good facilities compared to public schools (for obvious reasons). I believe that the majority of teachers care about their students and the wellbeing of their students. Of course one teacher doesn't define the whole school, but it was just a terrible experience (with that teacher) overall which I still think about. They also have free homework help/tutoring after school and within school hours. The students (university students) were really nice and caring. Their library was also really nice and was a productive place to get work done. I also made some good friends at this school and there were some really smart people there whom I respect a lot. They have many good programs which are amazing and some of those changed my life a lot for the better. Some other schools don't offer those programs and considering that this is a private school, there are WAY more opportunities to thrive in new things/what you love. I've had many great experiences at this school and made genuine connections here which I'm grateful about. Some of these amazing opportunities and experiences even completely changed my life for the better. However, the great things don't outbalance the negative experiences I've had there which made me want to end my existence. If you are a parent wanting to find a good school for your child, make sure you ask your child about their feelings. Not just what other parents think or what the rankings on paper are.

Great school with facilities that cater for all. This review is for a second language school there which Mentone Girls provides classes for. A great partnership
Very nurturing school. Able to accomodate for individual learning needs. Teachers seem to care about the girls.

Discriminatory, corrupt and genuinely stupid. All of the non-teaching staff need to be sacked ASAP
Very impressed with the level of care and consideration for girls education at this school.
