A rather compact and almost claustrophobic shopping arcade that runs from Pitt Street Mall to George Street. From Pitt Street Mall there's escalators up one level dominates by UNI QLO or down one level occupies by Kathmandu and other stores. This centre has been around since the late 80s when it was demolished and redeveloped and reopened in 2010. The atmosphere here for me is one of "get out fast" escaping into George Street or Pitt Street Mall. However, judging by the number of people looking at shops here, it's a vibrant part of this shopping precinct.
Decent shopping centre that caters for most needs. I'm the basement is Kathmandu which is great plus a few other shops and upstairs in the top floor is Virginia Active gym and a Rebel Sport. On the mezzanine floor is a massive Uniqlo which is awesome far basics and the stock turn over is regular. On the ground floor there are a few shoe stores, a weird KitKat cafe that's pretending to be sushi train and some clothes stores. Midcity also acts as a good cut through between Pitt Street Mall and George Street.
After buying a swatch on Sunday for my daughter we decided to return and I encountered the rudest and most disinterested staff that I’ve ever come across. I was about to buy two of the omega X tag watches, one for me and one for my daughter, after being ignored I finally got to look at the watches then when I went to try it on a young female staff member rudely said that we couldn’t do that and couldn’t close the strap. What’s the point of you can’t make sure they fit!
I go to the Virgin Active gym on the top level daily so I walk through Mid City mall every day. It's a small but clean centre people walk through to get to George St/Pitt St. You can also get to Myer from the side. I always see the cleaners cleaning the handrails on the escalators every morning. There's elevators on the side too. Mid City has some great stores-Rebel, Peter Alexander, Shieke, Forever New and Uniqlo
There are various shopping in Midcity Shopping Centre. It is closed to Wynyard station. Very convenient for me a lot. I love shopping k-kikki, Sportsgirl , Coles and Woolworth. There are many shops here such as clothes shops, food shops, supermarket, stationery shop, Newsagent, Cosmetic shop, technology shop, mobile shop, chemist shop etc. The rail service is in front of the shopping centre.
I love this place, so Victorian and it's actually often quite busy. Many small Boutique shops and a few coffee shops to take a break. You can walk right through from George st to Pitt street which gives you access to the Westfield shopping mall. Midcity really is a good photo opportunity if you like that style.
MidCity Shopping Centre is a lovely mall to wander around and shop, it offers a mixtured blend of high end and mid range fashion boutiques, jewellery, shoes and accessory stores including Uniqlo on the top floor. You access this shopping centre from Pitt Street Mall and also via Myers. Good for a wander around.
A little cool hub for more retail stores around Sydney's CBD. Great couches along the middle for a rest, and ATMs located very conveniently. There's also some secret shops upstairs that are worth checking out, such as an Italian restaurant and a men's hair salon that charges $30 for a haircut and a beer.
It's a modern shopping mall. At the top you will find virgin active (gym) and Rebel Sports. Mid level you will find uni qlo and ground floor there are various shops. Go down a level to find Kathmandu and chemist warehouse. There is a direct connection to the food court from the bottom floor.
Fairly small for a mall but still a few interesting shops. They tend to have speciality shops that you see less of in Westfield or not at all. Have toilets on Level 2 that are small and sometimes unclean. Connects to Myer in Westfield and you can pass thru to go from Pitt to George Streets.
Great compact shopping centre with a variety of stores for all ages and an amazing gym on the top floor. Connected to the QVB is very easy to stay here for a few hours. Fair warning during peak hour periods it does get quite claustrophobic so be aware when visiting with small children.
MidCity is a shopping centre in the Sydney central business district. It is located on Pitt Street Mall, adjacent to Westfield Sydney, The Strand Arcade and is diagonally opposite Glasshouse. MidCity has over 24 stores across Fashion, Beauty, Fitness and Lifestyle.
This place is designed to be insidiously unfriendly to the public. Notice the lack of bins on the Uniqlo level as well as from the Pitt St Mall view. Also the security guards that tell people not to sit on the ground when they’re not sitting somewhere obstructive.
Very easy to get yo. Plenty of Parking stations nearby. Plenty of public transport. Many wonderful shops and select design stores. Well laid out, clean and tidy. Plenty of sitting spots for elderly. Helpful Centre staff and prices are about what you would expect.
meh.....Shopping Centre's are pretty much same old same old - don't really need to do my usual 6 point summary - not bad, not great, just same old same old. I walk thru this centre to visit my favourite shop-otherwise, I would not come here. 3 out of 5.
Got a nice mix of shops, a couple I really like and close enough to other shopping if you can’t find what you’re after. Best Rebel in the area, a Kathmandu plus enough other everyday options to keep you busy. Also Virgin Active upstairs.
Tough to rate. Uniqlo is a Japanese company and I am boycotting them until Mitsubishi apologises to Korea! The coffee at Gumption was great but the staff not very nice. I had a crossaint that was awesome...forget the shop name.
A great inner city shopping mall with some big retailers like Uniqlo, Kathmandu, Smiggle, Peter Alexander. Really clean and tidy. The only downside is the lack of toilets. There's only one set and it's only the second floor.
One of the best places I've been to buy clothes, shoes, accessories and tech products. There is a wide variety of brands to purchase from, many having very good prices, and in my experience, great customer service.
No one actually knows that this is a mid-city mall, sitting in between Myer Westfield and actual Westfield (Pitt St) mall. Nice collection of stores all around, conveniently connecting all three malls nearby.
A busy bustling shopping area that links Pitt & George Street, that features fashion clothing shops like Sheike & Portmans as well Rebel Sports & Katmandu. There's also a Swarovski store that's worth a look.
Smaller mall, but quite nice with a variety of stores, but not so many as to be overwhelmed. Conveniently located at Pitt St. & George, which we walked past quite often on our way to the train station.
Since the upgrade a few years back the MidCity seems more like a place you walk through to get somewhere else. I guess that there are lots of nice shops there, but now it just seems … soulless.
Terrible. Can't fimd anything. No signage. The signs when they exist are tiny. You can't find the toilets. There used to be signs saying exits to this street or that . They have all gone
Aah, uni clo. Japanese clothing company. Finally a store that's not for the new norm, oversized people. Being slim here I can get really good clothing that fits well and looks good.
Nice place lots of people around because they r drawn to the different variety of specialty shops around ...take the time to experience n soak up the culture around while u shop
Good shopping mall with a range of specialty stores. I would always see it as a part of the bigger Pitt street mall. Love some of the flagship stores such as Uniclo, Julique...
great shops .. I am a big fan of Uniqlo and Portmans.. but they have Mimco, swarovski and forever 21 and hype too great place for shopping right at Pitt Street …
Good range of specialty shops in the strand arcade, with modern stores located on either end and a multitude of food outlets both at street level and underneath Myers.
Easily accessible by public transport It is a great shopping mall with many shops and designer brands. I wish there was more cafes and restaurants in the centre.
Good variety of stores but not a huge shopping centre. Uniqlo on the upper floor and a few fashion outlets on the ground floor are good. No/limited food outlets
Amazing! They have everything. Its connected to the QVB and right across from Westfield shopping centre so you could easily spend a whole weekend shopping here.
Good shops, Kathmandu, Rebel sports, UNIQLO. Escalators are well placed and provide fast access to shops. There is a gym and a pool on the top at Virgin active
The Strand Arcade is a wonderful place to explore. Lots of eclectic shops to choose from in a lovely setting. Can be really busy especially around lunch hour!
Staff are very friendly and helpful. A good variety of chocolate. I really like the hot and iced chocolate here as it is not too sweet. It is just right.
An okay shopping mall with a rather limited variety of shops, with the saving grace of having a huge Uniqlo store taking up one floor. Toilets are okay.
modern styles shopping arcade with shops, cafe bistro, brandnsme goods, men' or women's accessories, on the second floor , it's unique flagship store.
If you're wondering where the toilet is - it's upstairs next to the Virgin gym. Don't come here on a Thursday night if you want to avoid the crowds.
Small shopping strip in between George Street and Pitt Street, and right next to Pitt Street mall/Westfield area. Favourite store has to be Uniqlo.
Carlos at Rebel Sport did not have what we wanted but chased up another store that did. Great help and follow through from him and Rebel Sport!
Great area of the city to do shopping. Large rebel sport (although not much in terms of kids range), and an underground culture kings store
Problem is the smoke comes inside up the elevators in winter. Cold wind comes up too People shouldn't even be smoking in Queen Street mall
Located at the heart of the Sydney CBD. Close to St.James station and walking distance to many other famous stores like David Jones.
Bang in the middle of downtown Sydney. Close to the Myer food court and has some excellent stores. Forever New, Kathmandu, Hype etc
Nice enough shopping centre in the middle of the city, funnily enough. A good choice of shops. Even has a Virgin Active upstairs.
Main tenants are Uniqlo and Rebel Sports. Virgin active also located on the top floor while Culture Kings on the bottom floors.
Good shopping centre with some great retailers. Food court is also good. Public restroom and toilet facilities are not great.
Trendy looking shopping mall. I particularly like the Uniqlo store, great products and friendly staff. Very well priced too.
Best thing here is Uniqlo. There are many other clothes and other stuff shops too. Right at the middle of Pitt Street Mall.
One of the most dense and expensive street malls in the world per square meter, this is a very nice mall to go for pleasure
When you live over 1 hour away it's a day out of your life when there are other shopping centres just as good close to you
It could be crowded but you could find what you need. If you are looking for women dresses go directly to Forever New.
More shopping center are closed hmv say the market change with computer hard were and soft were but all runing by hmv.
Decent shopping centre amongst a bunch of other shopping centres. Nothing wrong with it, has a good range of shops.
If you're after a shop in the middle of the city... then this shop is definitely in the middle of the city! …
Nice shopping mall, some good brands. Rebel Sport, Witchery, General Pants and awesome Gym Virgin Active upstairs
Old style shopping center in the main CBD with connected basements. Great experience. Can be crowded as well.
Skechers shoe shop. Friendly and professional staff. They go above and beyond for the business. Really good.
High end stores but not really packed. If you don't know what to buy everyone come here for gift suggestions
Nice place near by to Pitt street mall, like the jbhifi there. They have big collection of movies and music.
I find this to be a nice place for a walk around some very nice shops and a food court which is not to bad
Centrally located. Contains all the well known retail chains all within a stylish and convenient setting.
A really nice place to shop! Walking distance from the chatswood station. Surrounded by nice restaurants.
You'll find almost anything you need in this shopping complex! There really is a bit of everything here.
Great range of shops. It's clean and easy to get around and with in easy distance to public transport.
A small shopping centre compared to others around but still has many shops and a good fitness centre.
Plenty of shops, you'll never find yourself disappointed when it comes to finding something you want
Always found the Centre to be a place of varied shops, whose Staff are always cordial & efficient.
Uniqlo, Culture Kings, chemist warehouse, kit kat store, hype DC and more are all located here.
Its a pleasant walk and spot to sit, there products sold in that area are generally interesting
A good destination for a lazy lunchtime window shop on a rainy day. Favorite store is UniQlo.
It's good, but needs a but if an update inn the upper levels with better food choices
I like the food court below, all the major brand are either in the mall or near by.
In person shopping is better than online option as more variety of the same stores
Spacious modern and clean. Great selection of shops and Virgin Active based here
Organised store and very neat and clean place even though it is mostly crowded.
Lovely place. Shops are great and you will discover different shop in the city
Love the shops here! Gets quite busy but this can be expected for the city !
Some interesting shops and good connection to Town Hall Station on a wet day
Better than the strand because it doesn't take twice as long to get through
Great for everything clothing wise I love it but it's not as good as japan
it's good. many shops cafes. we went to uniqlo which is always good value.
Uniqlo, virgin active, smiggles, kathmandu, rebel sport... and a lot more
This is where you will find the amazing store and crew Culture kings...
Great and well located shopping centre to buy in the middle of the city
The place has improved over the last few years with Uniqlo coming in.
As usual, a wonderful place for shopping. Esp the big Uniqlo outlet!
Good enough. Small but considered good according to Sydney standard.
Great location with multi brand outlets and most importantly UniQlo
Another good shopping location in CBD. This is why I love Sydney .
You'll get everything you need here but you might get lost inside
Nice collection of different stores. Always worth a walk through.
Love the international brands zaya & h&m, plenty of outdoor seats
Modern clean and many great places to choose for eats and fashion
Uniqlo is a great store and Virgin health an amazing health club
Good architecture, floors are clean and a good place in general
Great Xmas decor and historical builfing with many good shops.
