What I’m starting to love about this great country and appreciating being alive right now is that if you have a dream and have the grit to ride through the inevitable challenges, you can do whatever you want. And that’s how we get more artisan shops opening up further away from the city. Mum’s Burger Kitchen is a welcomed example into the neighbourhood. By the time this review goes up, I would’ve been to this restaurant twice thrice and if I know what’s good for me, I will either hit submit on this post or suffer the consequences of an ever-growing waistline. I will incorporate all the visits into one. The first time I went there, I chose the ‘Trent’, a large serving of fries and the pork belly as an entree. First and foremost the wait was a killer. I’m honestly grateful that I had some excellent conversational person to bide the time. I know that they did apologise profusely but hey if I was hungry and by myself, I doubt I’d be as forgiving. When the entree was served, all anger melted away. This….this is the way pork belly is meant to be served. Cooked crispy on the top, the meat was tender, delicious and melt in your mouth delightful. I wished it never ended. They said that they could do the pork belly as a burger and I was keen on sampling this again. The trent. What can I say about it? The beef patties were freshly ground. The cheese beautifully melted and the egg, bacon, and shredded lettuce just added to the complete delight that is the trent. Their serving of chips was amazing and the crunch on the outside with the tenderness on the inside was worth it. The next time I went there, I ensured I got the pork belly burger. Yes, yes. It is as good as it sounds. The meat was tender as always and their combination of onions, salad and mayo was the perfect zing that this burger needed. This review took a while to write. Admittedly the pictures kept making me hungry and I had to pause to eat or end up with chewed keys stuck between my teeth. Get down there and prepare yourself for the wait. It’s worth it.

We came here to get dinner on Friday night and the place was super busy. My two friends and I placed our orders individually, it took about half an hour for the first burger and fries to be ready. By the time that the third burger was ready was about 15 minutes later. We had started snacking on our chips before the third burger arrived and noticed that they were Luke-warm at best and had next to no seasoning. I spoke to one of the staff, she was very apologetic and said she would get us a new box. Meanwhile they started giving out fries to all these different tables and I'm left standing there for about 10 minutes waiting for fresh chips with a decent amount of seasoning. The kitchen was chaotic and the staff didn't have any idea what food was going to what table. We got home and started eating our food and the chips were no different to the ones we had before. The burgers were OK but not worth the price and I've had better chips from maccas. Save yourself time and money and avoid this place.

Looks like a good little place for a family to go out for a burger night. Not really my speed, but since our favourite burger joint, Flametree Burgers at Ferntree Gully closed (due to not being able to get staff), we're limited on places to go for a good burger. I had the Barack O-Parma (minus onion & cheese), but didn't think the pesto went well with the napoli sauce. Once I scrapped the pesto off it was a really good burger and I'd order it again. My Husband & his mate enjoyed their burgers, with additions, except his mate could not detect any cheese injection in his burger patties, and he ordered wedges & they brought him fries, which they quickly corrected. Disappointingly they're not licenced to serve alcohol. Basic cafe style atmosphere, definitely not a restaurant.

I've had burgers from this place a few times, only ever got the chicken ones which have been fine. Fries are good, beef burgers are good according to the mr. But today I seen they had their "pulled pork sliders" and thought...that'll be nice... It was not, it wasn't even pulled pork, I opened the burger to a tiny slab of belly pork, just gristle and fat. It was sadness in a bun, So disgusting and pointless, barely any meat on this 1 inch bit of pork...worst thing is that they charge $18 for these?!? you get two little sliders of sadness. Absolute rip off. Not sure if it's changed hands or something but that's the last time we venture there. Aside from that the place inside was freezing cold, not sure how anyone dines there in a comfortable temperature.

Damn delicious burgers!! Best burger I’ve ever ever had. Not hugely hungry go for the Bob burger basic and nice. Hugely hungry then the Trent will satisfy your hunger. TIP:ask for them to cook the egg both sides otherwise it’s pretty runny & you will wind up wearing more than u eat!! Great burgers!! Photo is the Trent burger in all its glory!!

Great burger, it has the 'charred' taste which was a pleasant surprise! Came across it when I went to the Dan Murphy's nearby. The shop looks very low profile on the outside, but it's exactly what attracts me to try. Went in at 6PM, thought it's quiet but boy was I surprised to see fresh patties lining up on the grill for takeaways! I ordered for dine in, the lady informed me it was going to be a while but I could wait. There were enough dine in seats and it's actually very cozy inside. Ordered the Simpsons and Bob, the patty were awesome. Ordered a large onion rings which were my absolute favourite! Keep it up the good work!

Oh just such a good place, would advice anyone who enjoys eating to come here and eat, such lovely staff and very positive environment. I was expecting a lot of your mum jokes and to be absolutely roasted but it never happened so that’s good. The burgers were juicy and I know a bit hung or two about juice since I once made orange juice when I was younger. The onion rings were round so no complaints there. Overall very nice burger restaurant and I would bring the whole family except maybe pets because they might want to eat other peoples food which wouldn’t be very nice, I like dogs though but it’s up to the restaurant. This has to be the best burger I've ever had! I ordered the Simpson burger with shoestring fries. The food came out in a decent amount of time considering the lunch time rush. The chips were well seasoned and stayed super crunchy. Massive portion for $5. The burger was just amazing, I wish I lived closer to this shop so I could go back again at a sooner date haha The girl at the front counter was lovely and the customer service from her was excellent. Even offered us water and dipping sauce when we were dining in. Easy 5 stars from me. Highly recommend. The quality and quantity you get here is exceptional.

STAY AWAY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Used to love coming here! But since it has changed hands decided to try it! BIG MISTAKE! Opened the front door to be greeted with the smell of an ash tray! Nice local burger place with a good variety of burgers and sides to choose from. Onion rings were fantastic. Unfortunately they were out of chips when we went but were offered wedges instead which were still very tasty. Definitely going back! Very tasty, very filling burgers! Had the "Pamela" which is a double beef burger. They "bad boy" chips are awesome. Cooked perfectly, crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside... and they're bloody big! They were busy with takeaway orders, but the wait time was still very reasonable. 2 burgers, large chips (definitely enough for two) and 2 drinks came to just over $40. Not bad - particularly given the quality. Cannot wait to go and try more of the menu. Top notch burger joint!

Ordered the Juicy Lucy and my mate had a Pamela with our shakes not sure what all the fuss is about this place, the bun on our burgers were cold, patties were cooked the way I like but had no juice to the patties which were flavourless, the tomato slice could have been used to ice up my glass of water, their specialty shakes weren't so special for $9.5 they ought to be. The only saving grace was the fat boy chips. Been to many burger joints for me to write my only review shows my dissatisfaction.

An amazing experience. The staff are genuinely excited about the food they make. The burgers are excellent and they're willing to... if you dare... make you the hottest wings they can. It also became apparent that they have a relationship with locals and near by businesses staff. Definitely worth the stop. I have also tried them via uber Eats and definitely worth getting anything they make anyway you can.

Knew as soon as I walked in that it had been taken over as there was no vibe. It's obvious the pattie recipe has change, no special sauce and the bad boy chips are just normal chunky chips now, not the beer battered delight they used to be. This seems to happen too often these days where people buy businesses then change things - didn't you buy the place because it's successful??? Why change things?? Still enjoyed the food but it's not what it used to be.

Went here with a couple of friends. Seemed like your standard burger shop but couldn't be further from the truth. Food was insane and the meat was well seasoned for the burgers. Would definitely come again. Service staff were really friendly as well.

Mum’s Kitchen Burger is the only place i have burgers. Burgers are consistently good, only the freshest ingredients used and i am always impressed by the quality. Their chicken burgers are decent but honestly the beef patties are the best. Onion rings and shoestring fries are really good as well. must try the Mum’s Burger sauce if you haven’t. Wouldn’t have the chicken wings again but they were decent. Very good even when you get it to go.

Can't believe I lived in the area for almost 2yrs before finally discovering this place through word of mouth from another satisfied customer of theirs - my neighbour!. It lived up to the expectations with their delicious burgers and friendly service. Highly recommended trying!.

Me and my mate brodie just had the best bloody burgers! I had the Kenny, he had the tan. The chicken in my burger was so so crispy but that still wasn’t the star of the show…no..mummas special sauce left my taste buds tingling and wanting more! Brodies burger was so fat he could barely get his mouth around it! The flavour was next level! He used describing words such as delicious, thicc and sweet ectacy! Thank you Mumma!

Really disappointed sadly. Mac and cheese must be prepared and store because it was stuck together in one hard lump, with no flavour. Burger had hard gristle in the patty, and the string frenchfries were sooo salty. Guys please try your own mac and cheese to see what I mean, and consider making it fresh not precooked. The store is always clean and the staff and very friendly. It kinda like walking into mums kitchen! We ordered one of the chicken burgers, and they did not disappoint. The food is lovely. I especially loved the onion rings. I would definitely come here again just for these. The staffs are great and friendly and went above and beyond. Overall, it's a nice place with a cool vibe. It's also near Dan Murphy's so if you're dropping by to get drinks, I would definitely recommend getting the stuff from here to go along with it!

Fantastic place! Service is friendly and quick, prices are quite reasonable, and the food is amazing! Every burger that we've tried here has been delicious, the chips are crunchy and well-seasoned, and the onion rings are the best I've ever had. They have great milkshakes and freshly squeezed juices too. Definitely going to become a regular :)

Update 23/12 - grabbed a quick dinner and the quality has dropped significantly over the last few months. One burger was undercooked and the other was black. Disappointing as this was one of my favourite places before.

Went to get lunch today and my staff and I got the “Ruben” An amazing sandwich. Was beautiful. The owner and staff were fantastic to deal with and the service with a smile was well received. Top class menu, food and staff. Highly recommend.

Best burgers ever. They use an actual charcoal grill and that gives the patties that little extra kick. I had the Pamela and was very happy and the big chips are spectacular - will definitely be back to try something new.

Contender for the best onions rings I reckon. Tasty loaded fries and a delicious burger. The only issue I had with it was that there was too much sauce in it. Ask for a little bit less and you will have an amazing burger

Wow! Amazing burgers and the loveliest staff. So juicy and nice with amazing flavor combinations. And the milkshakes!!!! They use actual Oreo pieces in the cookies and cream, not just a chocolate syrup, a must try.
