After a hail storm it was necessary to have my roof done. I did some research and received several quotes. Most other companies provided pricing similar to that of National Star however the other companies missed many details such as work around the chimney (just to name one of many) and had several additional charges to use the same high quality materials that National Star uses as their standard. I am so glad that National Star was the company I picked as they were able to answer my endless questions, included all possible requirements and costs; and were astounding with the knowledge they had to offer. The roofing job was handled in a professional and expedient manner. At all times during the job they maintained a clean and neat work site. The gentlemen with whom I had the pleasure to work with were extremely courteous and honest. They were responsive to my needs and the quality of their work was superb. It was clear to me that they truly cared about the end result and about the customer. Sokol and his team of national star roofing are AMAZING!! We hired them to redo both our house and garage roof and are incredibly happy with the results! The owner of the business Sokol sees the project through from the initial onsite consult - (he actually got up on the roof with a ladder to check it out, not your average sales rep for sure!), to the day of install and finally again for the last clean up job and site inspection. It’s apparent that national star roofing are experts in their industry. We had a few other roofing companies come out for quotes who offered us different suggestions for our roof, but you could really sense the passion that Sokol had for roofing in the way he talked us through and explained the benefits and drawbacks of every roof feature that we asked about, and even some features we didn’t know we needed. His professional and passionate attitude really helped us feel at ease and confident in our decisions, which was really important as this was a scary time for us as our first major home renovation project. They aren’t sales focused or pushy and offered competitive pricing for high quality work. Their communication is superior - they were patient in answering our many questions and kept in contact prior to the install day. On the day of install, the excellent communication continued with pictures being sent to me while I was at work. Firstly, I could not believe the number of high ratings for this company. But I can fully validate they are a 5-star company. They are bound by trust, honesty and integrity; a rare experience today. We had major attic rain in the 2021/22 freeze/thaw. We had only purchased our house 8 weeks prior and were in a complete state of chaos! Sokol sent around a crew the same day, even though other roofing companies could not even quote to see us for another 3 weeks, due to high demand. Sokol walked me through the drone pictures of my roof and explained what needed to improve the ventilation. Within five days after the incident my attic insulation was dry, and we had 2 max vents installed and 6 flat back vents installed to improve the ventilation in our attic. After the next freeze we went back into our attic and much of the frost/condensation issue was fixed, apart from one area where our heat vents exit the roof. Within three days Sokol sent another crew came back and pulled the heat vents outside of roof to fix the problem. We went back into the attic during -7 and there was very little frost/condensation as compared to previously. With all the traffic in our roof the final job is to apply a little more insulation to cover up our tracks and improve heat loss, then we are thankfully complete! However, our issue is no longer a priority, and our roof is robust enough to withstand the winter and allow us to repair the internal damage and repairs. Thanks to cooperation of the weather and this company we did not have to dry out our house only to have the same happen again while were waiting for a roofing company to quote us. I really appreciated how they treated and assisted me through this very stressful time. They are a family business and understand that bad service is not a sustainable business plan. I highly recommend National Star Roofing for your job needs.

We were a little skeptical that a company could earn *all* five star reviews, but we decided to call and check them out. Sokol came promptly, giving a quote that was ended up being a little higher than others, but those companies were slower to return our calls, and National Star was able to start before rival companies could even get back to us to set up appointments. Because we were certain we had a leak, it was extremely important to get a new roof in place ASAP. They did an amazingly fast job, finishing it all in one day. As others have pointed out, there was no radio blaring or other loud, unnecessary noises. And as far as the clean-up job went, the yard was cleaner after the workers left than before they started. Our neighbour on the garage side even commented to us on what a good job they did cleaning up their property. Our only complaint is the way they cut back trees overhanging the garage roof without first consulting with us. We feel they removed too much. Sokol assessed, then agreed and reduced the final amount by a little to compensate, but what was removed isn't going to grow back, leaving unattractive gaps and less privacy. If you care about your trees, make sure you discuss with them ahead of time how much is going to have to be removed to enable them to do their jobs. It's no longer a mystery why there are so many good reviews for National Star Roofing. Save yourself a lot of hassle and give them a call if you need a new roof.

I knew I needed a roof replacement this spring and when I googled roofing companies National Star Roofing caught my attention because of the high ratings they had been given from satisfied customers. Because I am a busy person; I didn't bother calling a number of different companies for quotes and just called this one. Sokol came out to assess my roof and sent me a quote that same day. My main concern was that I didn't want the roof to be done while there was snow or rain and Sokol had promised that they will make sure that won't happen. I was notified a day prior to the work starting. The work was done by Aleks and his crew and it only took the one day to complete which was great because it started to rain. All materials and garbage was removed from the site before they departed. The only issue I had was, the next day, I had gone up to seal the eavestrough and found that it was not cleaned out. When I texted Sokol; Aleks and a crew member was at my home within the hour to clean them out. I was informed that due to the rain, they would have come back a different day to clean out eavestroughs. Sokol came by in a couple days to personally give me the warranty papers for the shingles and the work done. The process was quick and hassle free. I would definitely recommend this company for a great job done and the price was more than reasonable.

Excellent Rood Replacement Just got my roof replace today! National Star did an excellent work on it and the clean-up after was superb! I found out about National star through a family friend, and after reading pages after pages of positive reviews I contacted Sokol. On the day of the quote he arrived with the most professional equipments I had seen so far in all the companies that had came. Sokol was very thorough with his explanation on the materials and how the new roof was going to be constructed. He was very professional in the sense that he did not give us a quote until after he made sure that we understood what we are getting. Sokol answered all of our questions with great patience, and was very polite and understanding in my need to translate for my parents. Although there was a three day delay for the installation due to the weather, the extra waiting period was well worth it. They came today at 9:00am and finished within the day at 7:00pm. They worked fast and studiously. The installers were all very nice and friendly during the installation. They even went for the extra mile of helping us taking part our old deck! Our family is very satisfied with National Stars' service and product. We would recommend National Star to anyone who needs a new roof.

We highly recommend the National Star Roofing company! It is a family-run business which, very recently (June 10th), completed a total reroofing project on our home in Lower Springbank. From start to finish, they were highly professional! Sokol responded very promptly for a request for an assessment and brought a team of people to assess complications that might have been an issue due to the number of large skylights that we have in our roof. The project began shortly afterwards , with shingles chosen by the owners ordered and stored. A reliable and extremely hard-working crew of multiple workers arrived promptly at 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled day to begin the project. Our house is quite large and the roof has many different angles. Aleks and Tony took charge of the supervision, trouble-shooting and problem-solving. Due to long hours and extremely hard work by the team, the removing of the old tile roof and complete reshingling was completed in 3 days. Following that work, National Star contracted other sub-trades who installed new fascia, reinstalled the eavestroughs and conducted some stucco work. I had used National Star back in 2013 to re-shingle my house and was quite happy with their work and the people. So when my sister needed her roof done I booked an app't online with National Star. Alex came over, had a look and we had a quote that evening. We accepted the quote that same evening and just a little over 2 weeks later I had the shingles delivered. Two days after that Alex's brothers and other family members showed up and went to work. Between 2013 and 2022, nothing had changed. They were friendly and courteous, took great pride in their workmanship, did a wonderful job cleaning up the work site (I walked around looking for loose nails and found none). I went out several times throughout the day to see what was going on and it is quite evident that all 7 of them knew what to and when to do it. Their many years of experience certainly showed. I especially liked that they addressed all the minor details instead of skipping them especially after a long, HOT day on the roof. I've never had any issues with my 9 year old roof that National Star did and don't expect any on my sister's house.

National Star Roofing was recommended by our home inspector as the roofing company he trusts, and now that the job is complete we share that sentiment. We received advice and quotes from three companies regarding a poorly completed metal roof on a carport addition, where the wrong type of metal roofing was used for the low angle, and was not properly tied into the garage 10 years ago and thus the sheathing was rotted and leaking. National Star demonstrated the highest degree of professionalism and expertise at the estimate stage, with a competitive price. The job ended up being a complete replacement of the metal roof on both garage and carport as well as sheathing replacement for the carport and some other tweaks to improve functionality. We called National Star for an estimate after seeing some favourable online reviews. They came out in two days, were polite and efficient, and gave us a detailed quote on the spot. The quoted price was was competitive--about $200.00 less than the estimate provided by the company associated with our insurance. We went ahead and booked them to replace our roof (Sept., 2014). They completed the job in a single day, ending around 6:00pm. The workers were, again, very polite and didn't blast music like other companies we've had on our street. The cleanup was excellent--there were no nails (literally, none) or other debris around the house. The workmanship was also excellent; they took me up on the roof to do an inspection afterwards and, even to my untrained eye, I could see the attention to detail in the cuts and finishes. The caps were definitely worth the extra cost (my advice: get them). Overall, National Star was a fantastic company to work with and we've recommended them to our friends.

The crew kept the area clean and as there was still some snow on the ground, came back once the snow was gone for a final clean-up sweep to ensure no nails were left behind. I choose National Star roofing because I don't want to be the victim of poor workmanship. Their price is not the lowest but good price for high quality work. I know quite well that poor quality roofing ends up causing more. When I bought the house, the home inspector found quite a few roofing defects. After the big snow fall this winter, water dripping from the corner of the window reminded me the urgency to fix the roof. Sokol was very helpful and responsive. He reviewed the home inspection report, inspected the roof and gave me different options for repair and re-roofing. The repair work was done promptly and carefully. I can't say enough good things about Sokol and his company. They came out same day (in bad weather to boot) to assess our roof damage. The quote they gave us was by far the most reasonable and included more work and "extras" than any other quote we received. The work was done in a professional manner, the roofers were all very respectful, well organized, and skilled in their workmanship. The cleanup they did was amazing - our yard was cleaner after they left than before they came and they even went over to our neighbour to ask permission to clean up his yard as well just in case roof debris had made it over there. Sokol at National Star was fantastic to work with. He walked me through the roof repair, and showed me how the existing roof I had was damaged (and set up to fail by the original roofers), and what to look for. During the actual installation, he kept me in the loop with pictures of the actual roof repair (there were several sections that needed to be replaced due to rot). He got back to me quickly whenever I had questions, and followed up after installation to make sure my particular issues (rainwater flowing toward the seams of the house and garage) were corrected. I'm used to other roofing companies (friends' houses) leaving debris and tire-exploding nails everywhere, but my driveway was spotless after.

I asked National Star for an estimate to replace my low slope roof with Class 4 hailproof shingles. They were the middle price of three quotes. I was impressed with the information that Sokol provided, both about shingles and about attic venting. I contracted them to do the work. They managed to do the installation in two days (I think by shifting a second crew to my job) in between two heavy rain days. The job went very well. Site cleanup was thorough and the minimal rain we have had in the six months since the job has all stayed outside the house. I have no hesitation to recommend National Star for re-roofing in Calgary. I called National Star Roofing when I noticed a leak in our ensuite bathroom coming from the bathroom fan after some overnight rain. They were very accommodating and came to inspect the roof within a couple hours on a Sunday morning. Pashk showed up right on time and immediately inspected the roof. It needed some new shingles and a new vent fan cover. He explained everything good to me and made sure I was comfortable with the repairs needed. He did the entire job in about an hour. I'm very happy with the work done by National Star Roofing. They replaced our wooden shakes with good quality asphalt shingles. The project manager, Sokol, was very helpful explaining options and met his promised start and finish dates. The roof was replaced in only two days even though the days were very hot. All the eave gutters and the site were cleaned thoroughly. We've had several good downpours of rain since, and the water drains perfectly, better than the wooden shakes did. National Star Roofing supplied a good quality job at an economical price. I highly recommend them.

Sokol was very responsive and patient in working with us on the different options we wanted for replacing our roof. We felt that the price was fair and liked that he was personally involved in the project and really cared about the work his team did. While we had some unfortunate spring weather, his team was quick and efficient to capitalize on a sunny day and finished the job in one day. Sokol and his team have roofed our house once and our garage twice now. After the 2018 hail storms they helped us find damage to our roof and get more out of the insurance company and our original claim assessment. They also helped us make major improvements to the design of our roof system to rectify ice damming and ventilation issues. They were quick, professional, thorough, and friendly. I developed a leak in my garage roof after the rain storm last week. I used Home Star to find a reputable roofing company and found National Star Roofing. Called them and spoke with Sokol the Project Manager. He felt the leak could be from the window and he could fix the problem. He arrived here at the designated time, and did the repairs at a reasonable price. I would recommend him and his company to anyone.

I used National star to replace the shingles on my roof and install additional vents to meet code. They provide good recommendations. Their staff was professional and on time. Sokol was nice enough to walk me around the roof after it was finished to review the work and even helped clean up any remaining debris/material left on the ground during the walk around. National Star Roofing just completed a torch down flat roof project for me...and it turned better than I expected. Working with Sokol, Alex and their crew I knew the quality of product and service was important to them. Their recommendations for venting were also excellent as I had rot issues with previous vents. All and all this company was excellent to deal and I would use them again no hesitation.

Online research of roofing company reviews led us to National Star. We felt very comfortable with Sokol’s professional presentation of products and options, including replacing a skylight. The work team arrived on the agreed upon day and worked in such an organized manner that the job was completed in the one day. Everyone took great pride in their work and it shows. Hired the guys for roof inspection and they came did a detailed inspection of everything. Then they gave me the recommendation and pricing which was in range of what is expected to fix the weather damages. We hired National Star Roofing to replace our old pine shakes with Class 4 Malarkey shingles. They worked hard , kept the yard clean and took all the old material away. Sokol was in constant communication with us on the progress and the price actually came in lower than the original quote. The roof looks great even though we have some complex roofing challenges. I highly recommend them.

I had all of the shingles replaced (due to age and wear). Everything went smoothly with no issues. Job came up earlier than I expected so was away Camping during install. Heard from neighbours that every thing went well and they were surprised how quickly it went up ( one day). Looks great and am sure it will last longer than we are in the house.
