I went in at around 3:50 pm today and saw that there was one staff on the phone. As they might be short staffed, I patiently waited for 5 min for him to finish his call with another customer. When he was finally done, I mentioned that I am here to pick up a parcel. He made me go on to the other side of the room the look for it myself. I was already very shocked by his behaviour at this point but went ahead to look for it myself and couldn’t see my parcel anywhere. I went back to the counter and told him that I couldn’t find it. He made me tell him my courier and I showed him the message one my phone with the details. He then said, “ don’t show me that, tell me your last name”. He went over to where the parcels are and I told me to look through one side while he does the other. I told him that I’m expecting a large parcel and I’ve already gone through all the small and big parcels there. He said “ you are not looking, how can you look so fast ?” “You could’ve told me your courier but since you don’t know you can only do it the hard way” ? I was so confused at this point and shocked. Like seriously ? Keeping and distributing the parcels should be his job but yet he made me did it twice. This Filipino man in his 50-60s cannot be bothered if people get their parcels or not. When I asked him what do I do since it’s not here. He said “ if it’s not here it’s not here, go call your courier I don’t know”. He then walked straight back to his chair and ignored me. This man is giving zero customer service. Very very rude. If he hates his job that much, just retire and go home. Don’t give customers attitude. It was an extremely bad experience with national storage hawthorn. Please don’t use their service because this staff gives zero attention to what customer needs.

Would not rate with any star if I could. Have been at this storage site well before it changed to National Storage. Called the Manager A....x regarding the pricing compares to another storage nearby. He has an attitude that if I don't like it I can move else where. I asked to speak to the Area Manager which he said he could not provide the contact details and said he will ask him to call me back. It is now 10 days and I still have not heard from the Area Manager. Called and spoke to the manager A...x again today as I have not heard from the Area Manager and he said he will give him the lip service. In this day and age...no customer means no business, the director/s of this franchise place would be please to hear of a mass exit. RIP National Storage Hawthorn.

This was my first experience with using a storage facility & it was excellent. The staff were very helpful & as I was able to move boxes etc into my new home (having moved from Noosa) they recommended downsizing my storage unit when appropriate. Plus they moved all the remaining boxes & items. What more could I have asked for? I recommend the Hawthorn storage facility & strongly advise you discuss all your options with them. I called about if they were open , to pick up packing material . They guy on the phone didn't listen . Kept telling me need to balance at 4.30pm to shut at 5pm . After asking more than 3 times "what time they open " he told me . I arrived a few days later, to pick up butcher paper & look at the cardboard . Same guy talk over you and not listening . Step up your customer service I will buy from Bunnings from now on

I went here to pick up a parcel...didn't realise that some parcels were being dropped off here. The interior reception needs an update, at least a cover of paint. The parcel register system they were using.....well they called me to tell me I had a parcel there, when I turned up they couldn't find it in the system under my name. At least the person assisting was helpful.

Terrible. I arrived to retrieve a package, the guy went and looked for 1 minute, came back with the wrong package. Then he let me come in to look for it, but he gave me less than a minute and then led me out the door. I showed him my text message confirming the package location, but all he did was say "goodbye" and shut the door. I couldn't believe it.

Good Storage place for anyone who wants to keep there luggages secured. Best thing about them is the price. Usually, new customers are offered 50% discount when they take a storage space. If you’re moving out of the country for few months and don’t have any space to keep your luggage, I recommend this place.

Good service from hawthorn. However the head office refunds department doesn't return calls or emails, give me an update on my refund. When I call they all say we will get back to you and never do. I can't say I'm too happy with their refund process service.

Not really sure what the point is of having advertised closing times if you're going to close much earlier than what is advertised online and on the sign outside the office.

I arranged a 1 week rental and was charged for a month. It took me hours on the phone to try and sort things out. This company is horrible to deal with.

Seem very friendly, accomodating and easy going. Really happy with my interactions and dealings with them so far!

The office says open 8:00am to 5pm, got here 8:30am, still closed, very disappointed
