National Storage is a designated Sendle drop-off point and the staff are usually terrific to deal with. We are however finding drop-off of Sendle freight at this location near impossible. We have a 30% first attempt success rate at dropoff during advertised hours. More often than not, the office is unattended for prolonged periods, but a phone call normally brings someone to the office. We acknowledge that this is a management created staffing issue and not the responsibility of office staff who need to take their allocated breaks. The problem is that there are no staff members to cover these breaks. The office was not staffed again today and on offering feedback over the phone, I was told that I could leave our parcels at the front door "at your own risk", or take them elsewhere. My opinion is that National Storage Northcote would prefer not to deal with Sendle clients and should just be honest and cut ties with Sendle. If you don't want to provide this service, just don't!

Had very bad customer service from a blonde female the other day in the office. I wanted to leave some clothes outside my locker for one hour while I went to a chiropractor appointment (nothing valued) but she declined and was extremely rude yelling at me that “we’re a storage facility!” as if I didn’t know. There was a guy up a ladder doing maintenance which as far more obstructive. The staff have always been helpful in the past. That same night, my payment declined and despite explaining to Peter that my friend died last weekend and I’m not on top of my game, I was forced to pay the fee. I live next door as well so am literally walking past every time I leave my place. Very disappointing service and attitude.

Had maintenance issues involving flooding on the ground floor last month with no guarantee it wouldn't happen again. No discount or compensation offered. They've now increased the rent two times this year. Having stored with them for over 12months, I think due to this maintenance issue, and the ongoing price hikes, overall it's been a pretty poor customer service experience and have been really disappointed with the offer for me to move my items to another of their storage places 'for free' using their van (which is offered to all new customer) at my own expense. No duh. Had no issues till now, but it's been very inconvenient. Definitely not a good deal and no longer recommend them. So dodgy.

Horrible. I've asked about their storage services in the past and they were very unhelpful. (We ended up using Kennards) dingy, graffiti on everything clearly poorly maintained and run purely as a money-making excersise. I've collected a parcel over the counter before and it felt like an absolute chore for them. I've used the Amazon Locker a few times, but they leave the foyer in the dark which is a major security risk for those concerned. I advised the guy today to ask him about it who velery rudely told me they "don't have lights" which is a plain lie as they were ON today during daylight.

Easy to access - we've had a storage unit for a couple of years and have always been able to get easy access. Any minor problems like lighting is fixed quickly. Unfortunately some people have been disrespectful to the women's toilets and now they're closed - a key is available during office hours. Staff have always been friendly and helpful with any enquiries.

Super easy to deal with. Staff always helpful and friendly. They arranged to receive my goods from interstate while I was away and had it packed so it was easy to access. Storage locker easy to access with stairs or lift and love the 24 hour access. If I have to store again I’d come back.

Called up the Northcote store to enquire for storage units, spoke to Ryan who sounded massively bogan, he did not understand a single word I was saying, and my English is very understandable to 95% of native speakers here. Horrible service. Goodbye National Storage, never again for me.

This used to be the best storage place but now it is the worst. The new management is awful and they racked up all the fees. They basically let you store stuff then hold you to ransom once they change how much you have to pay. Worst!!

Con provided me with the most professional service and made moving so much easier. I was somewhat surprised at how cheap it was. Would definitely recommend using National Service in Thornbury.

Possibly not the cheapest storage available but the service is professional; ample adjacent car parking; secure, after hours access.
