FIRST OF ALL, BEWARE OF EXPIRED PRODUCTS AS MENTIONED A THOUSAND TIMES BELOW!!! SECOND, DON'T CALL IT "NEW MIDEAST BECAUSE IT'S NOT NEW AND THERE'S NOTHING NEW ABOUT IT, asides from when they intentionally and willingly burned it down to the ground a few years ago to collect money from the insurance company so they can change the decor and upgrade everything (this is 100% factual and not falsified or faked information), but other than that it's not new. What needs to be new is the ownership and employees as it's one of the nastiest places, both in cleanliness and their way of treating you. You have to wait for someone to come to the cash and God forbid you call for someone, you will get horrible looks and talked smack to. I talked smack back, and after I was due change after paying for my total, she threw the coins at me. I threw it back at her so she followed me outside with her cell phone and recorded me until I reached my car where I talked more smack to her, she came and kicked my car door so I opened my door hence pushing her so I can get her away from me and my car so guess what? She called the police on me and pulled the "OH MY GOD I CAN'T FEEL MY LEGS BECAUSE OF THE PAIN OH PLEASE MAKE IT STOP. Cops laughed at her especially because I had tons of witnesses. Oh and by the way, her gorilla monkey crew from the store came running out defending her by bumping their chests and cursing at me and threatening me like it mattered. Just a bunch of thugs working at a place when they belong in the zoo. Stay away and steer clear.

I bought a beef with bones from them , when I went home and opened the bags I was shocked to see a musty meet with dirty smell that I couldn’t handle. I packed them and returned to the store I was expecting from the guy to say sorry and apologize for their expired meet. He said I think you left the meet in your car for few hours. I was like OMG what a disrespectful guy just saying something to make me shut And I told him why would I leave my meet in my car for few hours I bought it and I went home right the way and then he didn’t answer and just gave me my money back with his mouth shut. i don’t refer you to buy from their store.

This supermarket used to be great, i came on a weekly basis, and then started getting extremely busy and popular. That's when i noticed that their quality went way down and customer service became non existent. I've personally never had expired products (thankfully) but i remember getting a box of wafers, and the price that was displayed was lower than what was scanned. When i mentioned that the price is different the answer was simply "yeah that's the price now, i can't change it". She ensured that I'll never step foot in that store again. i now go down the street to Barakat, their meats are always amazing and fresh.

Went in to get groceries for the house and when got home found the chicken smelling rotten it was so bad I had to throw it out of the house immediately. The kind of smell that would make you sick for days. The hummus was old and Lafita was tasting off. I called and the man on the phone indicated something went wrong with the fridge and to come back whenever to get reimbursed, but throw away the food. When I went back they negated everything and refused to reimburse without receipt. Strongly advise against buying from there and to not trust labels where expired items are placed on shelf.

Is anyone realizing that the meat department now have no prices on the packaging. Before you get any packages and prices are labeled on them. Two weeks ago got a package of ground beef for $9.20 before it used to be around $6. Honestly I think they putting therown prices as they want. And the worst when you ask for 1 kilo or half not one freaking time they will always add more. What a rip off. The prices are little over priced. Don't go there anymore. I found the Amir next to the Ontario Service on bank street definitely have a reasonable prices and way more.

waiting so long to get my meat done. they asked what my order but didn't do the order (i wait around 10-15 minutes, the store isn't even busy, i am the only one on the meat section). even 4 people asked me what my order. luckily the meat is fresh. and i just bought 4 items, milk and eggs (way to pricey than other stores), and 2 kind of meats. but in the receipt there are two other items that i didn't bought (and this cost around $6 ). its too bad, this is my second time shop there. my first time shop there the staff were great, and fast.

Truly spectacular catering. I was on the pickup the food for the party crew: Two huge platters of chicken biryani and kofta were loaded into the back of the car. The gentleman who gave it to us said, "be careful- this is very good food." Nice pride, and absolutely correct. How the aroma tortured us in a traffic jam ... at the party, the food was the centerpiece. Wowwww. Smoky kofta, cashews and fruit on perfect rice, crowned with 5 or more peffectly prepared chickens?! Incredible. Thank you to the crew for a very memorable meal. Next level.

My whole one kilo kabab ordervwas burned kabab ,I paid for burned kabab so they cheat . I advice those who deal with this store to check their order before taking the order I had ordered one kilo kabab at 8:15 and they told me you can get it within 25 minutes ,what i got burned kabab , Which make me so frustrated and disappointed from this arabic islamic halal store, This is not the first time To cheat is against our islamic values I took photos of my kabab order . This behaviour should be stopped .

I went there to buy cheese. They keep expired products in their store!!! I bought some cheese and when I got home and opened it, it was rotten!!! I went there to return it and get my money back. They threated if I report it to the police, they don't give my money back. They are so rude. I'm so worried about people with children go shopping there and don't pay attention to the expiration date. They said it's not our responsibility to throw away expired product! Be careful please!

I have been shopping this place for decades and was happy with the service and products.However lately the butchers are rude and will serve the Arabic speaking customers before others,no matter how long you have been waiting for them to either finish talking on the phone or busy doing other things,they will completely ignore you and pretend they don't see you.This is very disappointing and disrespect for any one.

Prices very high 1 kg meat is for 30 dollars All sheep has 18 to 23 kg And it cost 150 to 250 Let's say it's 250 and it has 18 thats the worst case scenario Means He's getting profit on each sheep 300 Which is more than %100 of its original price Why is like that using ppl not sure If its 18 then he still can make $5 dollars in each kg and his sales will be with baraka and every one eats halal Thats insane

I was always happy with their service but This is my last time going there . nowadays their tag price and computer price is not the same ..! Thats not fair guys you must either lower down the price or post the real price even when I ask the onwer he Told me the system is the real price then why u tagged (labeled) 3 dollars less .! This place has been gross since the nineties - dusty, icky. A lot of sticky cans and jars with expired products in them. The mideast market on St Laurent should be your go to for all mideastern purchases in the city. Even though the location is far more convenient for me, the only thing I would ever buy here is pita bread, which still should get a feel test.

They have pretty good selection of goods. However, many products have expired and they still sell these products (shocking!). So, double check the expiry date before buying stuff. Moreover, every time (except one) I have been there I found the customer service very very poor. People are not friendly at all. They seem upset and unwelcoming all the time.

This was my first time here I was recommended by a friend to try their chicken shawarma the employee named Ahmed was so respectful Excellent communication and kind made my first experience amazing ! Can’t express in words how great the sandwich was. I am definitely coming back next time

Great place to get fresh Halal Meat. No price stickers on anything. So, it is hard to shop. Things are getting expensive and it is hard to get a good deal. It is hard to shop when the prices don't match the cashier and in general the price stickers and posting are not maintained.

Good variety of ethnic foods and some nice selection of kitchenware and dishware, it's a good idea to check the receipt though, as in my experience I noticed number of items were priced higher at the cash than advertised so had to ask the cashier to correct them

I asked for lean ground beef and was sold regular beef with lots of fat. Its very very sad that shia muslims are doing this to their own people. Do they not believe in the day of judgement? I put the meat in the freezer for 2 days and it became brown in color.

I always go to the market for some shopping and especially their BBQ Kofta. The young man named Ahmed Al Roba3y is the one I ask for every time I visit. He is very thoughtful, respectful, and has excellent customer service qualities. Thank you so much Ahmed!

I can’t trust them; I saw mold in thier Fanta bottles, few years back I bought Zamzam water and tasted metallic and expired, returned the boxes and the owner said “great, I have a customer looking to buy it” he had no concerns selling it again.

The people at new middle east are very kind and from my point of view the time when I was working there for my coop they all have been helping me do my job and always helped me if I needed help when I need it so they deserve a five star from me

I've received the worst service ever today, uncooked, unseasoned Kofta and messed up Konafa, it's in bits and pieces from the fridge, it was supposed to go in the oven but went in the garbage. I paid $84 for this horrible service !

My first time in, and as an inexperienced shopper in any Middle Eastern Markets, I was delighted! The aroma of the spices, the variety of so many different items, the deli/butcher, .... everything was great! I will be back!

So the cans are dusty, the service typically Middle Eastern, and sometimes you can't park! Whatever! Grow up, and realize that just because your expectations weren't met doesn't mean your standards weren't too high.

Small place , my main concern is cleanliness . The meat section does not look clean at all . The prices are not the best . The section for fruits and veggies is tiny . You will find the essentials .

Providing many middle eastern grocery and items, including Halal meat and food, this store is is an excellent source of these products. However, it is a little bit toward the expensive side.

Most of the items in the shop are expired, and if they are not expired, they are of poor quality due to poor storage, and the prices are very expensive. I advise not visiting them
