Irresponsible and disrespectful. I and my friend went to this precinct on 11/3 to report an incident happened at the 65th street TD Bank. The police officer and the Chinese clerk in the office were very smart, we told them the TD Bank won't do anything unless we have the police report, as soon as we opened our mouth try to speak a word and explain we got "LISTEN TO ME LISTEN TO ME" or "NO NO YOU DON"T UNDERSTAND" and tell us go back to TD Bank to get an affidavit. How can THEY not understand that we explicitly speak that the bank won't able to process the case (means getting any document) unless we have the police report? Furthermore, if we got our money stolen without an affidavit from the bank then WE THE PEOPLE can't even report a case? We then went to another precinct and obviously no affidavit is required, case reported, and the next day we were able to get the report number and move on. BTW I just look at the reviews, those 5-4 stars just seem very legit (no explanation, just 5 stars). And the math is so surprising: 6 * 1 star 1 * 2 stars 1 * 4 stars 5 * 5 stars ---------------- 37 stars/13 person

Pathetic. We had an incident in our medical office this morning with a seriously unbalanced individual who came in screaming and ranting and threatening the front desk staff. When it looked as if she was about to lunge over the front counter I instructed my staff to hit the panic button. This individual left and returned at least three times, spitting on one of our doctors' vehicles in the parking lot at one point. No police showed up until TWO HOURS LATER. And then they tried to tell me that the call came through as an alarm, NOT as a panic call. My alarm company immediately sent me the voice recording of the call to 911 CLEARLY stating this was a panic call, NOT a tripped alarm call. I was advised to call the precinct to report this discrepancy but no matter what item you select on their unending phone menu NO ONE ever answers the phone and you just keep getting sent back to the main menu. This is INEXCUSABLE!!!!

Road blocks on 99th st4th ave that can be seen from 97th st. 3cars front of me and we all can see police activity with flashing blue light right at 99th st turning to bell pkwy. Come to 99th st just before road block and light changed yellow but 3 car front of me has passed before change of light but Don't see anyone stopping them but when I came to the road block they stopped me and asking how fast I was going and my answer, 28 ! ( I have WAZE on my iPhone that beeps when I go over speed )and cops reply was that I was going 40 !! How can I follow 3car front of me going 25 (they didn't got stopped so I'm assuming) and me driving 40 for 3 blocks without running in to the car front of me ?? I believe they are being selective and hopping people wouldn't fight for ticket.

I've never felt so disrespected before in my life. After calling them and asking for help I was told they are on their way. 2 hours later I went there myself to report the incident. The lady in the front was annoyed somebody came in. She told me nobody was sent to respond to my call (while I explain the situation she sips coffee and giggles with her colegues turning her back to me). When I asked how come I was told somebody is on their way and nobody was sent she yelled at me and refused to explain. I don't know where to go and who to talk to anymore... 68th definitely is not there to do their job.

Like 6 years ago I get argument with my ex-wife but still was living together she drink beer little bit I come back from work in 11:30 pm I had long Beard. She told me I need cut my beard or need live home I told to her no. She call police with out any accident just was drunk and try cut my beard. One policeman try to kick me out from my house I told no without any reason. And police men attacked me and he beat me up. After he brings me hospital I feel bad and had damage in my head hospital was kicking me out after 20 minutes because the don't try to report all evidence

After a car accident a few blocks away from the precinct the police took 2 hours to arrive. Also the officer's report of what I said not reflect what I had stated that I stopped as I saw the other car speeding down the street. Furthermore, they lied about where the impact was, skewing the report so that it looks like it was my fault completely. Finally, the other diver's license was expired but the police report said he was driving without it. I told the police I saw the diver give his expired license to his friend, but they ignored me.

Officer Vitali MELNIKAU was professional, caring, and thorough in addressing issues in our neighborhood regarding illegally modified cars with loud exhaust. I know these issues don't go away completely or quickly. He and other team members did their best to figure out the best way to help provide a safer and quieter environment for our community. Thank you Officer Vitali for following up and showing that you care. Your professionalism and dedication are greatly appreciated and should be recognized.

Took 3 hours to respond to a minor accident. To the point where we left the scene and handled the situation ourselves. We had to call several times, to only be given the same message. “Police are on their way”... I’m not one to hate on nypd. In fact I love and respect them for what they do, but there needs to be more done about this. This could have easily been resolved in 15 minutes, but took 3 hours... disappointing.. hope they step it up.

Very professional and responsive to my issue. Asked no-nonsense questions, advised and empathized without "taking sides". For example, I volunteered my active parole status and suffered not the slightest hit to responsiveness, interest in my issue, tone or attitude. The actions of these officers reflect great credit upon themselves, the 68th Precinct and the community they so conscientiously serve.

I went here to file a lost/stolen property report and they told me I had to go to the precinct where the theft occured. Prior to this, I was told by two officers that I could file it at any precinct and right now I am at the precinct where it occured and they told me I could file it anywhere. So WORST secretary/woman ever. She also gave a lot of attitude.

  • like it is

I think the 68th does a great job, but they really have to shut down the salty dog!!! before one of our kids gets killed ! every weekend the kids get drunk and cause kaos on the streets, Assaults every weekend !! gang assaults, bats bottles knives !! how much more is the 68th going to allow !! Next time a kid gets hurt its on the 68th pct !!

  • Rachel Zhu

This precent is ridiculous, I got into a car accident and wait 7 hours for cops to come. Let me repeat myself, SEVEN HOURS!! You may be short staffed but 7 hours is a freakingly ridiculous amount of time to be waiting for them to just write a report. You guys need to learn how to schedule officers to be on duty better.

  • Frank Marzegliano

the police arent doing anything about the vendors on 83rd street between 11th and 12th ave nor are they controlling the traffic. what are you guys doing? i thought vending for dyker lights was illegal and there would be a $1000 fine? DO YOUR JOBS!

The 68th PCT sucks.. never show up. I agree with everyone's negative comments. Probably right.. at the Salty Dog. They are always around giving out tickets.

What's the point if the high ratings come from reviews they wrote themselves and their families??
