If I could give it a 0 star I would. Honestly, if you are the victim of a crime (which you probably are if your here) then I recommend you go elsewhere to file your complaint. The main woman at the desk (I didn't get her badge number) was so incredible rude. I was very nervous going, the nature of the crime was sensitive and she treated me with such disrespect and so little value. She asked me why I was there. I kept it short and to the point to which she said "that's not a crime, what is the crime?" Side note - Who was she to state a judgement prior to hearing the entire case? I again said that I was there to file a complaint. She then stared at me like I was an alien and rudely said "just describe what happened." I asked if I had to say it through the glass window and she looked around dramatically and said sarcastically: "well, where else are you going to say it?" So there I was, standing in the lobby of the precinct, feeling vulnerable, recounting the crime through a dirty plate glass window. To a police officer who looked at me like I was less than human, more like a dog. I felt like the 10 minutes in the lobby re-traumatized me. I guess I expected more from a person sworn to serve. Please, if you value yourself, do NOT go to this precinct. If you have no choice in the matter, bring someone who is a strong advocate, you’ll need it.

On Monday night my scooter was stolen from inside a doctor’s office waiting room. I was told to file a report to the police and I waited 2+ hours for them to arrive to be handed a piece of paper with no report number on it and a phone number which they aren’t answering now for days. I havnt heard one thing and they havnt even gone to the office to get the names of the patients who were there at the time, or look at cameras next door. What a complete waste of time. I’m embarrassed that I even thought for a split second that anything would be done.

I tried retrieving a police report for a motor vehicle accident I was involved in. It has been over two weeks and they somehow lost it in their system. I was told to call back day after day to chase the report. Unfortunately the person on the phone was rude from the get-go and provided zero assistance to the situation. It is simply surprising how one can be so nasty and unhelpful for no logical reason. This is pure embarrassment to the service we as law abiding citizens should be obligated to. This is the absolute bare minimum request.

Due to my error my car was towed from a Pierpont St. Sat Jul 26 I called 311 and the 84th and was VERY impressed with the quality and friendliness of the service. They sent out a patrol car with my information. About 15 min later they called with the the location of my car. (They were off by one block and another patrol car called with the correct location.) Overall very pleased with the quality and friendliness of everyone we contacted.

Going on two weeks waiting for a car accident report. No help, no relief. Call back day after day and left on hold day after day. Officer at the scene paid my elderly parent no mind and her car was hit. She instead got cozy with the other driver. Police officers have little patience, limited comprehension and seem to struggle with basic English. Sounds rude, but I encourage anyone to call this precinct and engage in a conversation.

Very unhelpful and hesitating to file a report as my vehicle got in accident and the opponent vehicle just hit and run. And these officer are hesitating to file report and asking to fix my car by myself. Its very frustrating as i have only read in book or in tv series that brooklyn nyc police services are worst. Finger cross for better service in future.

I came in for fingerprints for my job. It was my first personal interaction with the NYPD. After a short wait, the Community Affairs officer Kenny did the prints. He was professional and went above and beyond to make sure I got the prints and that I could come back if there was any trouble with them.

Its so sad that you refer to yourself as NY finest. When Im sitting in Houston TX. Watching your FINEST police officers ,yank a infent from a youg mothers arms. Disgusting and quite frankly I would be embarrassed and ashamed to even be aquinted with you all.

Nice guys, helped me out to file a report and were kind about the wait time. The place was overworked and under staffed, glad I brought food and something to do while I waited. Despite this, everyone was helpful and I was able to get the paperwork I needed.

We had a burglary and the officers and detectives were really helpful. They were professional and also sympathetic/responsive which was nice as I'm sure they've got much more important issues.

Don’t even think they will help you. If you want to be ignored- then it’s place for you... They are masters at that. It’s sad that our tax money are being wasted on these people.

The police officers bend over backwards to help people. Always kind and courteous. A good model for law enforcement and service to the public.

They are not a helpful lot. Waste of tax payers money. Went to make a report and they have such nasty attitude that I walk away.

WORST POLICE PRECINCT IN NYC HUNTING PEOPLE TO GAVE THEM TICKET IT LIKE ANIMALS ON THE JUNGLE TO CATCH THEIR PREY.

Had a problem with auto. Precinct responded and were so courteous and kind to me and my disabled wife.

The officers were very diligent and helpful in filing a report and locating my lost property.

they almost arrested my friend for not being able to prove shes disabled on the spot
