My visit to this store resulted in a colossal waste of time. I was shopping for a shirt and I advised their associate that I would like to get the 5 shirts for $299.00 that they have advertised. The shirts are touted as custom fit so I thought it was a great deal and mentioned the same to the associate. The associate advised that the process would take about an hour to an hour and a half. I thought that was a long time to get fitted for some shirts but I was informed that they would be taking all measurements for a complete 3 piece suit. Again, I thought that it was pretty unnecessary but assumed they wanted to capture my future suit business and although I wasn't thrilled I went along thinking that you never know, maybe I would be interested in the future and this would make it easier. Again, I wasn't thrilled about it. I just wanted to get fitted and go. Once everything was completed and I was measured for a full 3 piece suit I was presented with a bill WAY over 299 plus tax. The associate agreed that he never mentioned that not all shirts on their display rack applied to that deal. Really? After all of that? Apparently there were 2 shirts that didn't apply so although frustrated and beginning to become sceptical I looked for 2 replacement shirts. I was able to find one albeit not my favorite but I couldn't find a suitable replacement for the other. Nordstrom management had no interest in accommodating me. They had an opportunity to establish a brand advocate but instead they wasted my time, the associate's time and received no revenue and a person actively advocating against the brand. What a shame. Very disappointed in their "legendary" service.

I went in today to buy a YSL perfume, I pretty much knew what I was looking for. A nice lady approached me and asked if I needed help, I kindly said I was just looking in the meantime because I still wanted to smell other perfumes that they had. She had no problem and told me to take my time. then suddenly not a minute after, a woman, I know her name, but I will disclose it to Nordstrom customer service when they reach out, asked me if there was something I was looking for. I told her what I wanted and she decided to try and sell a different perfume. I kindly said I wasn't interested in that one. I told her again which one I wanted and asked if there was any promo or something similar like I've seen online. she was quick to say no with a very negative tone. another very nice lady spotted the situation and saw how awkward it got involve trying to ease the awkwardness. I simply decided that not a single dollar of mine was going to go to her commission. so I told the lady I was going to check my bank account. to which she replied: "are you going to buy yes or no" at this point I was fed up, I have never received this type of service at Nordstrom. I just replied to her, I'm going to macys. she just said: "then go to MACYSSS!!!" rolled her eyes and walked away. this felt very unprofessional. this entire conversation with her lasted at most 2 minutes, I felt like she was there to either take my money or kick me out of the store. or maybe both. on the positive side, I found a better deal at macys for literally the same ysl perfume and they gave me some extra goodies with my purchase.

I have an EFFY silver bracelet that comes with lifetime warranty which I bought from Nordstrom. Another store told me to go to this one and they could have it adjusted to fit me. I called and they connected me to the fashion jewelry department where I specifically asked if they could adjust my EFFY silver bracelet and she says definitely and it was " complimentary". I drive all the way across town and the manb working on the floor says he's sorry and offers me their website. Like I can't find their website? Is this Nordstrom? My wife weighed at the Beverly Hills Nordstrom for many years and when I told her, she was Agasp! When you pay for Nordstrom, the least they can do is take care of sending it to THEIR vendor who already offers a lifetime free adjustment if Nordstrom cannot do it in house. What does it cost them verses my review which obviously shows my feelings. I think JC Penny's might also carry EFFY, but we chose Nordstrom. Should I choose jCP over Nordstrom? Do you really want me to do that when all it costs you is some postage to take care of your customer and oh, maybe ask your manager? I have hundreds of Google reviews and over 3 million views of pictures, etc and you'll see I'm not into flaming stores very often or without what I feel is a grievance worthy of writing down. Update: got a wonderfully useless "we'll share this with our team" which means they will do nothing just like the desire staff did nothing. Thank you for your feedback Nordstrom, again you disappointed my wife again even more than me.

I purchased a high demand item to delivered because I couldn't find it in the stores. I was assured that Nordstrom would take care of me if something happened to my shipment. I waited patiently and the shipping company LSO delivered my package to the wrong address. It wasn't a victim of a porch pirate as I was waiting for my package that day. I put in a dispute with the shipping company LSO and I have yet to get a reply. I went to Nordstrom and let them know what had happened. I was told that they would send me a return form to fill out so my card can be credited a refund. I got to my vehicle and received an email that refund was denied as my shipment shows it was delivered. At least be honest with me and tell me I'm out of luck and not lie to me and tell me that Nordstrom will do their best to rectify the situation. Nordstrom didn't even bother to investigate with LSO. It also amazes me that a store like Nordstrom would pick a shipping company with a 1.6 star Google rating where people have accused the shipping company of stealing packages.

The service this store provides is exactly what you would expect to find at your local DMV. You know it’s going to be terrible but you have to go in. It’s unfortunate because Nordstrom and the products they sell are wonderful. The staff at this location (85% of them) are not helpful. I’ve read other reviews and I know it’s not just me. Spare your obligatory, disingenuous response to my review “Tasha”. I’m leaving this review for others who are loyal to Nordstrom. It’s clear from the reviews and responses to the horrible reviews this location will never live up to the Nordstrom name. It’s better to not acknowledge a poor review than to respond with the same verbiage each time. It solidifies the poor management and even worse service. “We’ll pass this along to our teams” Really? Will you? If so, start with cosmetics. When they are available, they act as if you are bothering them when you need help. It feels like I’m at Ulta, not Nordstrom. Unfortunately you can’t teach someone on how to care.

I visited your store last weekend after 8pm. I really didn't expect great service since it was late. I had just come from Macy's, and the associate there was less than helpful. But a young lady in the fragrance department was so very helpful. I am sure asked for a certain perfume or and she wasn't quite sure but asked another associate, who was equally helpful. The lady who helped me name was Ana. She showed me where the perfume was. I was going to leave but remembered that I really needed makeup, which is why I had gone to Macy's. Ana wasn't quite sure but found another associate whose name was Lisa (I think). Anyway she helped me. Ana thanked her and let me know if I needed anything else in the future to let her know. Your people are awesome in their ability to make a customer feel welcomed and want to visit your store more often. Thank you ladies for being so thoughtful and helpful. I have already told my friends about my great experience ❤️❤️

Love it here. Very well laid out, fantastic staff. Great and very very clean and beautiful restrooms. Elevator for disabled folks. Beautiful children's section. The only odd issue is that they only take cash for some reason... No credit cards??? Odd. My favorite section is the crystal, house wear and Chanel! Love the butterflies up the escalator. They do need cleaned,! Very disturbingly Dusty and in your face. Parking is lovely and they have valet sometimes. I have always wanted to ready at the restaurant, however I never seem to arrive at the cottect time! They are always closed or are just closing when I arrive. Dressing rooms are clean. I love the set up of the store. It is open and easy to find everything. Makeup counters are in an odd place and I always feel I'm in the middle of the traffic's coming and going from the store. It makes me feel rid. Maybe like it was a last minute placement after the store was already set up. IDK it's just odd.

We had a terrible experience at this Nordstrom (La Cantera). We bought a $650 dlls item 3 weeks in advance in the store; they told us that the item was expected to arrive on December 19th; we showed up on the 23th, only to find out that they sold our item to someone else, even though they had taken our money 3 weeks before. This obviously made us very upset, and while we were complaining they called security on us (they did not want other customers to find out what was going on). When security arrived, they started yelling at us in a very threatening manner, like if we were the ones who did something wrong. They even tried to kick us out from the mall, but we called 911 on them. The store’s assitant manager showed zero interest in customer service. They basically stole from us. I am never coming back to this store, and I strongly encourage other customers to go shop somewhere else.

I haven't been here in a few years but recently it seems like a lot has changed. The layout upstairs (women's clothing) doesn't make a lot of sense and walking around to the different setups I could not determine how the categories were grouped so I basically had to walk the whole floor to find what I was searching for and ended up being unsuccessful because there isn't a lot of inventory. I can't blame the store for any of that because layouts are determined by corporate and inventory is what it is. There were multiple employees working upstairs but they all seemed to be involved in personal conversations and not willing to help out customers. I did see one girl offering to bring someone's clothing to a dressing room but that's it. Downstairs the shoe selection is very sparse which was sad to see. It just leaves a lot to be desired and isn't at all what it used to be.

I love love love shopping at Nordstrom. They always provide the greatest customer service, style, and experience! I can't say this is true however for the Cosmetics Department at Nordstrom La Cantera. There is never a retail artist available to provide service. Funny because when you walk through the department on a weekday afternoon the ratio of sales people to shoppers is a lot higher, but go figure no one is available to assist you. And unlike any of the other departments they seem more put-off that you entered their department than excited to offer you the next great experience. Nordstrom, I love you and will continue my shopping loyalty in every other department, but for now on I will shop elsewhere for my cosmetics. Sad, cause I'm a make up junkie and love to buy and experience lots of make up!!! P.S. Huge shout out to Aly up in active wear she is amazing!!!

One of my all time favorite Nordstrom stores! They say outstanding service starts at the top, and the store manager, Kristye Martinez, is absolutely fabulous. She makes everyone feel like a valued shopper. The cosmetics manager Katie is also incredible! She is always available to help with an issue or offer feedback about products. Katie is professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable about all of the products offered at Nordstrom. Last but definitely not least is Nicole Flores at the Tom Ford counter! I have been working with Nicole for a year now and she always picks the perfect products for me! All of her recommendations are stellar and she really knows everything about every brand! I love working with Nicole because she is very patient, talented, and knows how to achieve on-trend makeup looks! LOVE shopping at this Nordstrom thanks to this exceptional team!

I enjoy shopping at Nordstrom for the amazing styles and fun atmosphere . However I have realized that with each visit at Nordstrom I have only been greeted by a sales associate once. Today while roaming the Top Shop area , I gathered a few articles of clothing . Both sales associates saw me browsing and not once asked if I was finding everything okay or offered to hold my clothes in the dressing rooms. This was odd considering I watched them help other customers . The lack of assistance continued even when I was the only customer in the area and when the 2 ladies stood behind the counter. If I’m being honest I felt like I was living that one movie scene from Selena (if you know , you know ) I only hope future sales associates of Nordstrom are trained to help each and every customer. Perhaps my Nordstrom card holder days are over .

Nordstrom is Nordstrom, I mean really what can I say! The employees I've encountered are friendly and helpful. They finished their remodeling and the layout is reasonably easy to navigate. The only item I would like to mention is who in the heck decided to put the restaurant hidden upstairs. I feel like Indiana Jones searching through the relics and all of a sudden I find a secret passage to the bathrooms and the restaurant. The restaurant by the way is really good. The bathrooms are clean and nice too. Now the big question, would I recommend this place to others? Yes, my wife and I shop here. Oh yeah, one caveat to the happy review, the selection of clothes could be better. They have a few of every designer, not a lot of selection in each designer however you can always order and pickup in store or home.

SEE UPDATE BELOW ... Nice store with a great selection of merchandise, including a large men’s department. Friendly, engaging staff. A bit on the pricey side, but a good store if you are looking for variety and brands. UPDATE: This location has really gone downhill in the last two years. While the staff is still extremely friendly and professional, the inventory and selection is extremely thin in all of the departments. To make matters worse they no longer carry men’s suits or fine clothing for men. Nothing at all particularly high end about this shopping experience now except the prices. Truly a disgrace for a store of this supposed caliber. Shopping online is looking more and more like a viable option. If you can’t get the service and selection in the store, what’s the point of going. So disappointing!

Well its been awhile, since before the 2020 Pandemic. My visit was to meet up with a friend and have coffee in the coffee bar at Nordstrom. Boy was I shocked by the amount of people about. Checking out the makeup and jewelery departments, was pure eye candy. Love, love the Michelle watches, especially the gold and silver designs. Wandered over to handbags and a rag-n-bone backpack immediately got my attention. As per usual customer service was par elegance, and assistance was right there when I looked up. Overall, the store revamp is bright, easy to shop across departments, and that's just the first floor. Parking was plentiful, and exiting the complex a breeze. Great experience at Nordstrom, La Cantera.

I just left there not too long ago today, and they are having an anniversary sale.... lots of good deals.... I want to give a shout out to Ms. Jillian Casso, she works at the NARS counter, and is extremely knowledgeable about both makeup as well as skincare.... I deal with a heck of a lot of skin issues, and she takes all of that into account when recommending products to use. She is very caring and loves all of the folks that she gets too meet, I can't say enough. I was having a hardtime trying to find what would work for my skin, and she is wonderful to work with.... If your in the area, go and pay her a visit!

The service at this Nordstrom is impeccable. Hector in the fragrances department assisted me with purchasing a surprise gift for my cousin's birthday. Absolutely appalled! The home section worker was absolutely rude. How very dare she treat a loyal customer like this. If I do recall her name is Venus, her snarky attitude, eye rolling, judgmental, seeming like she wanted to get rid of me while looking for a king size knitted blanket. I’ve been nothing but kind and patient with this worker, which by the way is not my responsibility as a customer. Staff is useless. Instead of them coming up to you, you have to go up to them. No help whatsoever during my visit in the men’s section but I did get help in the cosmetics section (I forgot the name of the lady but she was attentive). I’ve been to the Houston Location numerous times and this could never happen there because they have very nice, helpful and attentive staff; I even know them and they know me. Only reason why I paid a visit here because it was the only Nordstrom location near my hotel since I was an evacuee from Southeast Texas due to Hurricane Laura.

I was very disappointed with the customer service here. We waited about 10 minutes to be helped at the Tom ford cosmetic section and were IGNORED. We literally said excuse me and made eye contact with the employees and still no help. The WORST part was when 2 older white women came and the employees quickly greeted them and assisted them. My family and I were very DISAPPOINTED. We ended going to Neiman Marcus instead. This was a terrible experience and I refuse to shop in a place where I felt DISCRIMINATED against. In from out of town. Visited Lancaster in San Antonio TX. Was personally walked over to Women's Sunglasses. Asked if I might be interested in Anni Sale sunglasses. Looked. Explained what I was looking for. Saleswoman, nice, attentive n professional. Showed me other sunglasses. I immediately found what I was looking for. Did not have my Nordstrom charge. Managers and higher ups at La Canters Nordstrom’s, I hope you see this! I got a pair of converse there this month, and Meilani was absolutely amazing. She helped me find my size, brought multiple pairs, looked up things for me, and was extremely knowledgeable about how to take care of Converse and how they may feel at first vs what happens after a few wears. She was an exemplary employee, and there were a lot of customers that day. She showed the same care to every customer, short staffed as she was. You guys are lucky to have her!

I'm sorry but this is one of the worst Nordstrom stores I've been to. As far as inventory and selection, it's disappointing.The shoe department is severely lacking. I've shopped at Nordstrom in many different states and the La Cantera store just doesn't measure up. The employees are nice and helpful but the over all shopping is a total letdown. I don't know who the store manager or buyers are for this store but you can do better. I'd rather shop online or plan my Nordstrom trips for when I'm out of state.

Very clean store.. attentive associates.. but the perks no longer exist. I purchased a high end men's cologne and asked for any samples available o of other products or fragrances. It was like pulling tfragrance. Initially gave me the excuse that one fragrance was so new they couldn't give a sample. After getting 1 small sample tube of another I didn't care for, they quickly attended to other patrons... the good old "the sale is complete, onto the next client".. kinda like a car dealership.

Nice location with lots to choose from and easy access from 1604. I went here last week to get a new suit tailored. Prices were average, got a suit from Zara and it came up to about $80 to get tailored here but if you bought a suit in-house I believe you get discounted rates. The tailor was really nice and got me in -and-out the door quickly with a turnaround time of less than a week. No complaints here and would highly recommend if you need a suit tailored in San Antonio.

The manager (Heidi Furst) is a liar. She accused me of being a racist because I got into an argument with an employee. Apparently I'm not allowed to object when that nosey Nordstrom employee starts asking me private questions about where I'm from? Defending myself seems to be grounds enough to ban me from all Nordstrom stores. But more importantly, to tarnish my good name. That's fine, I'll take my money elsewhere, and encourage my friends and family to come along.

When I used to shop here I get all kinds of help, service people getting me dresses or whatever I needed to try on. I was there today as soon as I walked into the dress department there were three ladies at the cash register who suddenly disappeared. Very disappointing, it's their job to help, not disappeared. Nordstroms used to be a good place to shop but today it felt like the help was trying to do the minimum amount they could to keep their jobs.

Couple of months ago I had a bad experience in the makeup section of the store because a specific employee would follow, harass me and make me uncomfortable to shop for beauty products. Today in the store a new employee who I met named Kitty, made me so comfortable and happy with the fabulous products she recommended and made me feel safe to shop again here! The customer service at this Nordstrom is consistently great. My husband and I both shop here regularly and we have received so much help from the employees here. They are always willing to help you find what you are looking for (jeans that fit right, a dress for a wedding, a good value on dress shirts, etc) and hear out your concerns. I also buy a lot of things online, and they have no problem processing returns from online orders.

Mia in the shoes area was outstanding her services. Very professional and positive attitude. Sadly, the restaurant in the 2nd nivel was a disappointed experience. Only ask for a chessburguer. The waiters told me they don't have hamberger bread, that's fine. But when the chessburger arrives, the bread is burned and cold, with no onions, no cheddar cheese. I don't eat. The best part is that I pay 20.00 for water with lemon.

Came to get a custom suit made from Indochino. Was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Gotta hand it to the associate doing my measurements, he took his time and made sure every aspect of the fitment was spot on and to my liking. You would think that getting a custom suit made is expensive but to my surprise. It was alot less then I expected.

Very disappointed with this Nordstrom. Merchandise quality has gone down. No more dressy slacks, shirts in Men's department. Customer service is non existent. They did not offer to check for item out of stock in store. Looks like a Nordstrom Rack. Will need to shop at Austin Nordstrom. from now on. Unbelievable what has happened to this store.

I My nephew tried a pair of Addidas shorts and when he came back to the rack were the shorts were, one female shop employee began to treat him like he was stealing something. I haven't been to this place in awhile. I notice nice people greet you in the store. There are many antiquated sectioning of the store that remind you of the early 2000s. It's like I went back in time. The men section is pretty limited, because this store is more geared towards women.

Very disappointed in working at this store! I worked in Austin and San Francisco! The Manager and assistant manager for Women’s wear , were lazy and didn’t know clothing! I also noticed that older employees weren’t treated very well! Ageism is very prevalent in this store!

Pretty nice and clean Nordstrom. Staff that i interacted with were mostly helpful. Although one staff member made us feel like she wanted us to leave her area. I liked that they were running decent sales and had the Balsam Hill Christmas trees displayed.

La Cantera is a great San Antonio mall. Nordstrom here is excellent. Service is outstanding and quality of their merchandise is exceptional. While my bargain self is often drawn to Nordstrom Rack, there are times when Nordstrom offers what’s needed.
