Lovely place to stay. Great pub below but closed Sun & Mon as this is a business district (noise from pub not an issue on wknd), beautiful old pub, great food & service. Room was lovely & comfortable (see additional info below), we easily walked to all public transportation which was based around Trinity College. This town is very walkable. Street side can get noisy up in the room but didn't really bother us. All rooms are obove the pub and no lift/elevator, only stairs. The stairs only had one railing and that was on the right side (going up) making it a bit harder for ladies to carry luggage up if you're right handed. They have a small kitchen to make tea or coffee any time of the day or night. A small fridge was a great plus for leftovers and the milk was provided for the hot beverages. They do not provide breakfast even though the website says differently. But that's ok, as we found a great Bakery offering a wonderful breakfast & delicious baked goods down by Trinity College called Keoghs. All in this was a very good choice and considering prices elsewhere in the city of Dublin, the price was great. We would stay here again for sure. We did have a few issues with the shower door jumping off the track, dim lighting in the bathroom, spotty wifi, and 2 heavy closing doors with in the room; but they were working on all issues. Thank you to the lovey staff too.

Rooms
Beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, big bathroom in room#1 with a shower not a tub. Floor was the only place to open luggage, additional door was a nusance as it had a door closer and opened into the room (we propped it open with a chair), bathroom door would not stay open either (annoying), noise from the street didn't bother us but it may be an issue for others; just giving a heads up. We were 3 ladies very comfortable in this room.
Nearby activities
Walking distance to the heart of town, Trinity College and busses etc. And around the corner from several churches, if you want to attend a mass on Sunday.
Safety
The door has a pin code to get in. Doors lock. We felt very safe.

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting Dublin. Rooms and bathrooms are very nice. And very clean. Situated perfectly just a few minutes walk from the temple bar area. It's surprisingly quiet considering it's location. The Pub itself is Great. Didn't try the food but I did have MANY Guinness and dare I say the best in Dublin. Very friendly staff even if I was an Englishman in an Irish pub! Will definitely be back for a few more Guinness in the future!

The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. Beds comfy. There were issues with the wifi, but the facility was looking into it the problem. Be aware that there are stairs as soon as you enter, nothing on the ground floor. There is a kitchen area to make coffee and tea on the main floor. It is a good location and you need a code to enter the facility. The pub had great food. Friendly staff. Had a few issues with the room, but they were addressed in a timely fashion. I would stay here again

Nice pub to go out with friends. Food is tasty and portions are big enough. I didn't like the constant check from the waiters. I know that could be appreciable for someone, but I felt monitored and somehow invaded in my space, especially when one of the waiters gave me "tips" on how to eat my food. Anyway, I think it's a good place to hang out with friends and family, having beer and eat something.

Stumbled across this pub as it was close to our hotel. Lovely atmosphere and great food. I had the cauliflower curry which was absolutely banging! My friend had the stew and finished every bit so she must have enjoyed it. The staff provided excellent service. Great pub if you want a nice traditional pub vibe without loud music and huge crowds.

Nice place. Dark inside with lots of nooks and crannies to disappear in for a quiet chat and a drink. Good food menu with table service. Nice pint of Guinness. This is definitely an old pub in the traditional Irish sense. It feels like it hasn't changed in 100 years. Good location near pearse street train station also and a stones throw from trinity college.

Have dined here a few times and the food and drinks have always been fabulous, had the fish and chips for dinner today with the banana fritters for desert, divine! Speedy friendly service and warm Irish atmosphere. Would definitely recommend popping in for food and drinks if you’re looking for a stellar pub in Dublin.

We popped in here for some nourishment, which we found in the form of Guinness and some haddock and potato chowder. The Guinness was as smooth and superb as you'd expect in a Dublin pub. The chowder was outstanding and worth the visit for this alone.

Had a meal here recommended by our excellent waiter Johnny. Seated and served very quickly. He helped me decide on the bangers and mash and even gave me an extra potion of gravy. Worth a visit for nice comforting food.

Popped in for early dinner while waiting to catch the train. Nice ambience and toilets. Good tasty burger and chips. Good Guinness. However, the non Irish staff could really do with some customer service training. They stand behind the bar

O’Neills provides a much more authentic experience than staying in a generic hotel. Modern conveniences are of course available, but in many ways, you feel like you’re stepping back in time and staying in the guest rooms of an old Irish

Lovely Irish pub. Quaint inside, one of the nicest pubs in town however a pint of Guinness at €6.30 is too high. I understand costs have gone up recently etc but for Guinness to be the drink of Ireland, it's too high. Tourists will of

Great old fashioned pub. Went on a Wednesday and while there was a buzz about the place it wasn't overly crowded. Ideal for having a catch up with mates I hadn't seen for a while. We were able to enjoy a good chat. Great Guinness and

Had an amazing lunch here last week. For somewhere in the centre of the city its reasonably priced but I wouldn't mind paying extra as the taste and the amount you get is well worth it. More
