I've been anxious when viewing cars before (as a 30 year old gal I've been on the end of a few dodgy sales pitches!) but Paul and Michael were brilliant, knowledgable, comfortable to speak with, and made us feel right at home. I'm so happy with the car we chose - a great price, spec, and a local dealership too! Recently purchased a Mini Countryman from Paul @ Old Star Garage. After searching relentlessly nationwide for the 'one' my wife was happy with, Old Star popped up at the right time! Giving a 2 hour drive to view the car on a bank holiday, Paul went above and beyond to open up shop and deal with us outside of their opening hours without hesitation and couldn't of made us feel more welcomed! The car was presented as was on the advertisement and the wife is happy! Plus Paul delivered the car to a closer destination for us after a fresh service and MOT had been carried out on it. Each one is of a premium quality and when it's my turn to renew my car, Paul will most definitely be getting a call. Brilliant garage. A* service. I bought an audi q3 sline. I dealt with Paul who was very helpful. He put on some brand new locking wheel nuts he had sorced from Audi at no extra cost. This place & the guys who run it are the best. Me ? I got my Harley D from them & got my 52 year old dream come true thanks to Paul & Mick . I had shed loads of personal problems & the guys & owner Micheal were most understanding, the vehicles they sell are top class & that’s a fact. The old owners were not good so got bad reviews, please believe me that is not the case now. I had a flat tyre driving to Leeds and as I approached the Old star garage I realised I couldn't drive any further. This Garage sells cars (its not a mechanic garage) but despite this , 2 lovely men - who I guess own the place - offered to change my tyre and put my space saver on ( I didn't have a clue how to do this!) Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish. I drove 4 hours from London after speaking to Paul to pick up a Ford Kuga. The car was exactly as advertised and even better that I thought it would be. Paul took the time to go though automatic with me, as I've been manual for years and helped with the switch over of the cars, even giving me an addressed envelope for my old log book. My son's polo is really nice but it developed a £400 fault after 2 months and had to get fixed locally .. Fantastic garage... I have been looking high and low for a decent used A3 cabriolet.. I’ve seen so many that haven’t met the quality advertised. Paul was so helpful! I went to The Old Star Garage to purchase a RR Sport and had possibly the best car sales experience I have ever come across.
