I went for Obon festival recently and it was my first time coming in person. Normally I watch the recordings of services on YouTube. I felt very welcome at the event and I always enjoy the Dharma talks given here! There is a real sense of community that encouraged me to come even though I’m very shy. Some reviews mentioned Zen Buddhism but OBT is Shin Buddhist so make sure you check the website so you know what to expect. They had informational sheets in the benches inside the temple that tell you a lot about the building as well as the customs during service. I hope to visit again soon! It’s a very beautiful temple.
The people are friendly and the place looks great however the mass didn't have a mediation time and when I was there the fire alarm kept going off fro some reason. I believe it was more Zen Buddhist but I m not certain. It does have a lot of parking.

My late father George T. Okamoto, U of O Architecture School designed this building in 1967.
Good place to play pokemon go. Beyond that no clue. Seems very cool.
