CUSTOMER SERVICE UNACCEPTABLE Had a really bad experience at this store. I had ordered a necklace for my wife on their website, it broke ( which is okay) so I brought to this store to see what they could tell me. Wether it was to fix it for me or replace it just see what could be done. When I got there and I showed one of the employee’s ... she immediately took it and went to the cashier and made a refund (without consulting me) if thats I wanted to do. When she came back and gave the refund paper I said I never asked for refund... what if I wanted something else from the store or what if I just wanted to take the necklace back with me and pay a jellewer fix it? ... Her answer was ... well I cannot give you anything from the store anymore because I already processed the refund ( Refund that I did not approved or asked for) and then she tells me ... anyway the necklace is not serving ITS PURPOSE TO YOUR WIFE ANYMORE.... So who is the employee to tell me if the necklace does serve a purpose or not to my wife anymore ... that necklace had a meaning and a religious and belief tie to us ... and this employee is really telling what HAS OR NOT purpose to my wife ?? .... Anyway having nothing else to do I just walked away and left it at that.... NOTHING AGAINS PEOPLE’s I LOVE THEIR STUFF BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT LOCATION WAS UNACCEPTABLE...

Been a loyal customer for over 30 years and has always had great service by most of the staff!! Most of our service has been provided by one of your most long time employees Elizabeth,and I just learned today she is retiring after 28 years of employment with People's. We are going to miss her dearly!! It will be hard to find a replacement as GREAT as she was!! Amber is also another wonderful employee which has been very great to us as well!! People's is the only store we buy from so I hope the service will be as great with losing one of the most valuable employees they have! Laurie Johnston Currently our newest and sweetest sales lady is Nhi Ha and you should ask for her when you go in!! She goes above and beyond with looking after your needs and always follows up with you on anything!! She is spectacular! Thanks for all you have done and continue to do for us,The Johnston Family!

I ordered a ring from this store. In order to get my size the consultant ordered it online (something I very easily could have done if I knew that she was going to do this). Something was inputed incorrectly so the order was canceled and I lost the discount. After talking with customer service, I was able to get a small discount on the second time that we called them which is grealty appreciated. I got an email saying that it was delivered to the store and the store was closed for 'undisclosed reasons' for the night an hour and 15 early. The staff were still there and one of them was even on their phone but neither cared to talk to us. Two times I was disappointed on the same order. The only reason I was even there was to get a ring that has broken twice. They never did tell me why it got cancelled but I do know that you probably shouldn't put two sets of information on the same account, which the consultant did.

I almost always have great service here. However, I assume the lady who served me today was in training, which is fine (but nobody was guiding her). She knew how to type the diamond #s into the computer and print a receipt, but 1 of 3 were wrong. I had to point it out (and another worker tried to tell me I was wrong, until she actually listened and saw and fixed it). I also had to tell the worker they should be cleaned and inspected and she took them and returned them in her hands (not using the tray) - and didn't seem to actually inspect them. I would suggest having newer employees shadow then be shadowed by knowledgeable employees as part of the training process. As for products and purchasing experience, we've had wonderful experiences at this location.

I think the store should defenitely train or organize again how their staffs treat customers. We went here today, having our bet on buying an engagement ring from them. No one cared about us. There was no price tag in the showroom so we could not work out on ourselves. When I saw the staff showed the rings to other customers, I politely asked if I can join their consultation session (as she can can help serve 2 customers at the same time). She loudly and rudely told me that I had to wait for 2 more people. No excuse, no hello at the beginning... That's how a business starts to lose their customers.

I've been in the store a few times and had the same gentleman approach me and calls me for my first name very unprofessional as I don't even know who this gentleman is, secondly I was in the store trying on jewelry and I felt like I was being criminalized as he demanded one of the other employees there to stand right next to me as if he was assuming I was going to steal from the store, this jewelry store doesn't seem very professional on how they treat people as well as their knowledge isn't very vast I don't know what else to say besides go upstairs if you need to go somewhere in the mall.

Store hours are not accurately represented online and made what should have been a 10 minute pick up into 2 seperate trips and 2+ hours of waiting. Went in at 10am as that is what's posted online. On a small piece of paper outside the gate it says 11am so we wait until then. Then 11am rolls around and the person inside says they aren't open until 130 because they are doing inventory. I mention I'm just here for a pickup - then the clerk tells me she still can't help me because of the way the computer does inventorying. Just a very frustrating experience from a consumer standpoint.

My fiance and I purchased our wedding bands from this Peoples location. While there, we were helped by Elizabeth and Katie. These two ladies were and absolute delight to deal with. They were very helpful and receptive to our needs. With their help we ended up getting an amazing deal on the rings and couldn't be happier about our experience with the store. They really make you feel like you are "part of the family". I will be going back to this store for any future jewelry purchases. I highly recommend going to see the ladies at Peoples Jewelers Kingston.

I purchased a ring at this store and got the lifetime warranty. When I had an issue I went in and they said they could not find my name in the system. I had all the original paperwork but they just turned me away. Completely fraudulent! I was disgusted by their service and protocols and will continue to warn anyone who asks not the but their extra protection or use this store at all. I reached out to Peoples numerous times and was ignored.

I went in today to have my rings cleaned and inspected and was lucky enough to have Moe be the guy who helped me. Moe did a wonderful job on my rings and made them sparkle like they were brand new, which hasn't been done since covid poked its ugly head around. Moe's service and interaction from the get go was incredibly professional, friendly and I felt lucky to have to deal with him. Thanks again Moe, it was a pleasure meeting you.

I wish I could give Peoples JEWELLERS less then one Absolute THEAFS Went in for a simple watch battery and they wanted $25.00 Are they NUTS !!!! Went one floor directly above them to Charm Center and got a battery installed for $10.00 I went back to Peoples and told them what I paid the very Snotty cleark just said "Good for you" she could care less Guess were I will be doing any and all future shopping IT WILL NOT BE PEOPLES !!!

I took my wedding set in to have the large diamond replaced on a Thursday, they said the diamond would be in by Tuesday!! I gave it a couple weeks and heard nothing so i go in to check and the lady told me oh she would call me! It’s been another 2 weeks and i’ve not heard anything again!!!! They have had my ring for a month and not one call to update me on the progress or timeline for completion!!!

Staff is very rude and will not acknowledge you. I was in the store looking at rings and not one person said even hi. An older man walks in and right away they were like can I help you with anything. I had been there 20 mins and no help. Then they said well you'll have to wait. Took my business elsewhere. Have spent lots of money here in the past.. go elsewhere.

My hubby bought me a family ring from here. I have had nothing but issues with this ring over and over with diamonds and gems falling out, costing hundreds and hundreds of dollars to replace. I recently had another gem fall out and am just now after 3 years being offered to pay for a warranty. Super disappointed. Make sure u pay attention to the fine print!

I went in for personal reasons and I was treated extremely well. I had a great talk, got some really good ideas and was very pleased with everything. I love the lifetime guarantees of the Canadian made diamonds and the certificate of authenticity that comes with it. I will definitely be going back to purchase the item when it is the right time.

The Staff at the Cataraqui Town Centre location are amazing! They listen to their customers and truly want what is best for them!! It is so refreshing! No pressure sales- just caring!! My fiancé bought one of their rings back in july and proposed in Aug. only 2 1/2 months later the gem fell out. People's didn't even offer to compensate since it was not a diamond. Extremely unimpressed and upset!
