Tom was just fantastic!! My grandparents needed a new little oven & cooktop combo installed. Called Tom on a Friday, answered his phone on the first ring, delightfully said he can do the job and was able to come out Monday morning a couple days later!! He was on time, my grandparents said he was absolutely lovely throughout the job. Turned out previous plumber who did some works on the gas lines capped off the gas to the previous oven. Tom happily went under the house and actually ran a new copper gas line for the new oven. He even thoroughly cleaned where the old oven was before putting new one in! What a gem! I was extremely happy with the price, I’d say it’s pretty darn good for the bit of extra work Tom had to do with the gas line! Even the invoice itself I’ve never seen one so descriptive! Absolutely everything Tom did at the premises is stated on the invoice, in detail so I knew EXACTLY what I was paying for. All in all, fantastic service, from the first phone call to the completion of the works. This review is long overdue, but I need to thank Tom of Personal Best Plumbing for going above and beyond in his help with a plumbing situation for a townhouse in Glenroy that my wife and I were purchasing. Our building inspector found that the upstairs shower was leaking and had caused water damage beyond the bathroom itself. We contacted Bob based on his high reviews and he was able schedule a time that suited our needs. Long story short, I can't thank Tom enough for the time he spent in explaining the available options for the repairs and the extra time and attention he gave me in walking me through each option. I seriously felt guilty in the end for the amount of time Tom spent versus how much he charged for his services. Last weekend I suffered the indignity of a blocked toilet. After many attempts to unblock it with the help of google suggestions, I left a message on Personal Best Plumbing late Sunday evening. I was very relieved to get a message from Tom early Monday to check what the problem was. Tom and his partner Stacey arrived at 8.45am and the blockage was quickly sorted. When Tom checked the basin to see that the water was draining away from there, he discovered it was also blocked and offered to clean those pipes as well. Just before Christmas my partner and I bought our first house and spent hours trying to get the hot water system started with no luck. On the Friday before Christmas I called Tom bracing myself for a massive same day call out fee and the bad news we needed to replace the hot water service. I have been using Personal Best Plumbing for many years and Matt Lucas and his team have always provided excellent service. Matt is courteous and capable. He always returns calls if he can't answer the phone immediately, is realistic about when he can do the work and turns up when he says he will (or lets me know if he's been unavoidably delayed and reschedules). He expects the same high standards from his team. Prices are very reasonable and an added bonus - they clean up after the work is done! I have no hesitation in recommending Personal Best Plumbing.

Tom is what you can call a genuine hardworking tradie and is a honest man. We called Tom after hours to rectify the work of dodgy gas plumbers who we just had out. He understood the urgency and was on site within 30 minutes. He not only rectified the issue but also took the time to check that there everything was in good working order. I can’t recommend this man highly enough. It’s hard to find good tradies these days so look no further and put this man on your books.

Tom was prompt to get back to my initial enquiry, prompt to arrive and always let me know if there was going to be a delay. He made recommendations on the best way to tackle the work I needed to have done, provided cost estimates and completed the work in a professional manner and to a high quality (including clean up and taking away rubbish). Matt came to install a new solar heating pump for our pool ! What a lovely, down to earth man who is very professional and on time! He even came on a Sunday and back on Cup Day to finish ! Tom explained to me what was needed for the job . So that I could understand what it was going to cost me at each stage of the installation process. The quality of his work was very professional and exactly what I wanted.I did however get some other quotes. And Tom was not the cheapest. But I feel that I got my money's worth. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Matt and his team were amazing. I got a water bill for over $1,100.00 from Yarra Valley Water! Called Matt and he and his assistant both came out same day and worked in the dark to find and fix the leak and then emailed me a report to send to YVW to ask to reduce its bill. Matt's own bill was also for less than i expected :) Would not hesitate to recommend.

Approaching Tom to help fixing block gutter and some leaking issues on the roof. He is friendly , reliable and approachable.
