I have a horrible general experience, well, been a member since 2017 and everything was fine until our state went into lockdown after lockdown and these people have decided to shut down the DIY dogwashes. I am very dependent on this store's dogwash because my dog absolutely hates car rides and we live quite close to this branch, it's walking distance from home. But they refuse to open up the unit and I have tried many times just to ask the reason behind it and every time they have given me absolutely ridiculous random answers. Once they told me it's because they don't want the store to get populated by customers which doesn't make sense at all since they already have the covid density signage and the number of allowed people can be managed. Next time I asked they told me that is not an essential business and I'm still trying to understand if maintaining your house hygiene is not a top priority, what is? Am I supposed to feel OK my dog making my house filthy with his muddy paws because some geniouses think there are washing facilities in every house and there is no need for these units in stores to function?( my dog is super big ) The other time I demanded a reason, I was told some shops have kept that option on! Which doesn't sound fair that this specific one has decided not to. And the last time I was told it's a government decision and all dog grooming activities are shut down and I was like oh really? I thought some shops as you mentioned have that option still on!!!! Then how? The government only bans you to have your unit on I am very frustrated because of this idiotic decision which has made my life more difficult than everyone else during lockdown. Sorry for a very long review. Not a reliable franchise, DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!

Prior to this year I was very very happy with Pet Barn. I used the grooming service as well as purchased in store. I always booked my grooming appointments in advance. My last appointment was on 9th Jan, the day before I received a message to call them, which I did and left a message. The next morning I took my dogs but was told due to a positive case they were closed but would resume the next day and someone would call me. To date no one has called. I have called regularly and left messages and spoke to the store staff who were very apologetic and took down my details (on more than one occasion). I understand the circumstances, however, one of my dogs is a miniature poodle and now we run the risk of matting fur which will undoubtedly cost more at grooming & shearing (he has moles so we try and avoid this). Store staff have advised that grooming is running a month behind but as my appointment was almost a month ago and still no appointment, I'm guessing my dog won't be groomed until at least March. I really don't want to go anywhere else but at this point I may not have a choice (of course if I can get in). New update: so many places in the area no longer grooming, I had to trim my dog as best as I can myself, not easy with a poodle.I finally got into Petbarn and get this they charged me TWO lots of matting though they had failed to respond to any of my calls. They also accused us of cruelty & neglect. What a joke!

worst grooming service ever!! Incompetent staff, I have been going to PetBarn for 5 years now and they have been great but this one morning i took my dog there to get the full treatment and the girl at the front had told me that i didn't book for the full treatment i was very confused since i always book the same things over and over, after that the girl said she would do it in 45 minutes but then i get a call 3 and a half hours later telling me to come pick my sweet boy up when i arrived i saw him tied on a leash and locked inside a room by himself and nothing i mean absolutely nothing was done to him. Then the girl says he was being aggressive and hands me a name of another company that deals and trains aggressive dogs, mind you he is the most friendliest dog you can ever meant. He has not been the same since i am never taking my dog there ever again. I am not sure what they have done with him calls to HR have been made, also still waiting for camera footages yet still haven't received anything, nor a call from them.

Took my dog here for a full groom. Normally go to South Morang Petbarn but they had no spots left - always had a good experience with them there so thought Craigieburn would be the same. Wrong! They nipped my dog's ears during the groom and didn't get even tell me, only found the scab a day later. They gave her a short cut all over her body which is fine, but missed the spots under the front legs? So it was just long?? And normally they leave the head just a little bit longer than the body, but they also cut around the face quite short and left a long tuff at the top of her head? They also seem to have missed trimming her dew claws on the front paws? I wasn't able to address any of this on the spot as a friend picked her up, but I definitely will not be coming back to Craigieburn Petbarn. Don't know how it could've gone so bad, but if it was a new groomer, train your staff properly before they're unleashed on people's pets.

Left my dog many time's bofore for grooming. we never had any issues paying for style grooming and went to pick dog. tgey have shaved him all over He littlery looked ugly. I could have done that at home instead of paying this much . Also, he had allergic reaction to something after grooming took him to wet they asked what products they have used we need to find out as we have to privent it for future. Called Pet Barn many times left messages. No one replied back, and today, when i tried calling them again, they said they have 4 different type shampoo she dont know which one was used . She didn't even tell wh the person did grooming. No, sorry, or apologise. Insted i was told may be he picked up allergies at home . It was very unprofessional the way i was answered my all questions. Never taking my dog again for grooming . This grooming cost me $400 after paying vet fee and all trouble with my dog health.

I am so frustrated. I called up last week to book my dog in for a groom. the lady at the time was nice and got all my details down and we booked it. fast forward to the day of my dogs appointment, I called to reconfirm and apparently they never booked him in or don't recall my phone call with them. absoutely pathetic. I even have my previous phone call with them in my history so I know I am not in the wrong. spoke to kim on the phone treated me like I was dumb, when I had proof of our phone call they are just too lazy to clearly run their salon correctly. didn't even apologise or anything and just said oh well we are booked out so we can't even book an appointment for you now. so rude!! lucky petbarn south morang managed to fit me in as they had a cancellation, DO NOT RELY ON CRAIGIEBURN PETBARN. they will stuff you around and make you waste your time. so unprofessional.

We absolutely love this Petbarn and their staff! Every time we visit, we are able to not only are we just utterly happy and amazed at the sheer amount of products for our babies around us, but we can also have a personal conversation with staff about their babies without it even feeling as though you’re in a ‘good and services’ environment. It’s amazing that you’re able to get food, advice (from actual personal experience, too), vet care for our beloved bubbas, ect. all in one place. By far, my favourite part of the visit is accumulating several different, very reasonably priced, name tags for my boys, for different days of the week Thank you, staff! I’ll be back for the incredible service and amazing personalities alone :)

Took my pup in to get groomed on Thursday to find out my appointment had been canceled. I wasn’t informed prior to my appointment. I asked if I could reschedule but was asked for my number and that I would be called in the afternoon. So I waited and I wasn’t called. I had made my appointment a month in advance knowing that lots of groomers are booked in advance and know I’m left not knowing when I can get my pup groomed. Also staff in the groomer had no mask on even after she told me she had been a close contact and that’s why my appointment had been cancelled. The feeling I get from the groomer there is that they don’t care about my business knowing they are in such high demand.

I had a really bad experience at Petbarn Craigieburn today, a lady with a foreign accent approached me as I was looking at a 3 pack Advocate Fleas and Worms tablet for my cat, she recommended me to get a 6 pack, when I asked her the price, she told me it was $76,99 after purchasing the item she asked me if I wanted the receipt and I said YES, I walked out of the store and checked the receipt and I was charged $104,99, I went back there and questioned her, and she said that price was for members only, which I was a member, I gave her my details and she refunded the remaining amount, I would give her zero stars if I could, poor customer service

I’m not sure what happened to the other staff but the new ones are not good at all. I never get a style groom whenever I ask for one. I always ask for a boo style for my Pomeranian and hey either cut the hair too short or shave it when they aren’t supposed to for Pomeranians. I asked for his hair to not be short this time and it wasn’t, but it looked nothing like what I asked for and got charged $119.. for a small dog groom, it’s ridiculous. On top of all of this the manager there would speak to me with attitude like she was doing it for free. One thing I know I’m never coming back here again. Previous girls were much better at their job.

We have shopped at Petbarn Craigieburn since it opened. When it first opened it was fantastic, and I made it my go to store. Since COVID-19 I noticed a change, the store frequently closing early before the advertised times, staff completely ignoring you when your are able to get into the store. Today the tense attitude of the staff boiled over, when the "so called" manager decided to raise her voice at my 6 year old daughter while we were buying her a pet fish. Followed by this same manager raising her voice art my wife. Naturally we left the store and abandoned all our purchases. I will never set foot in your shop again as a result.

I took my staffy for a wash. My dog isn’t pet friendly but was encouraged by staff to bring my dog anyway and not worry about what others think. Which I did. Washed my dog. When it was time to leave, I looked and there was a dog near by and thought I would quickly bring him out the store. Of course my dog became aggressive towards another dog but I was super happy that a staff member came out and ask if I was ok and asked if the owner of the other dog was ok. I felt really welcomed by staff! I appreciated her kindness so much! A big Thankyou to that lovely lady! She made me forget about other people giving me and my dog weird looks.

Just wanted to express my extreme delight having used your grooming service for the first time today. I was over the moon when I had saw just how good my toy poodle looked. My dog has had negative experiences with groomers in the past, which have left him extremely traumatised and difficult to manage. However, it was evident today that he was extremely well treated during my absence. The fact, the groomers actually listened to my instructions and carried them out, was very pleasing. We will definitely continue using this grooming service in the future. Thank you soo much ladies for treating Fionnbharr soo well.

Dropped my sweet boy at 8:30 am and supposedly to be picked up by 11:30, recieved a call that they were to busy and he wasn't done yet and will be ready arround 3 pm , long short story they had cut his little side floppy finger and that is why kept him till 2:15 to be seen by a Vet without us seeing the damage, poor little guy got traumatized and not allowing to touch his legs + to his traum they shaved his hair so short and his head so much longer then the body,looking funny, will not go back

I go there most of the time, had good experience. But last month took my dog for bath and grooming. First of all I want his hair shorter not almost shaved:( And he had 3/4 razor scratches on his belly and nail bleeding. Since he came back after grooming he is terrified, I am still trying to bring back his confidence. He is not same anymore. I guess if dog doesn’t want to let you touch his tummy we can just leave :(

The team there is amazing!! Special shoutout to Irini who spent 1.5 hours today helping me choose everything for my first puppy, Kloppy! From food to treats to brush to harness! I couldn’t thank her enough! She was super patient and answered all of my numerous questions! I’m very thankful. Petbarn store is lucky to have such good staff who excel in customer service and genuinely care about fur babies!

Heartless people. I humbly asked if they can sell me just one bag of food for my pup. On their site it is said store will be open until 6pm... I came in store 5:02 pm! They said they are close but there are still people inside buying stuff! the staff wont let me buy just 1 pack of food!!!! I've been a customer for a while and I could not imagine this is how they treat loyal customer!!!

Grooming provides a horrible service. No care for the dogs at all! Left my dog all patchy. The lady working did not even allow us to choose the length me wanted and kept arguing that it needed to be done really really short. My dog left distressed, shaking and screeching. They also charged me extra than what is advertised on the website!!. Do not EVER bring your dog here for a groom

Slow service when queued. The staff were friendly but the only server was having lengthy conversation with the first person in the queue, and the other server was opening boxes without paying attention to the growing queue. We were waiting for a good while, enough for the people behind us to leave the store. It made me hesitant to return again, even though the staff were very nice.

Absolutely disgusting service. Took my cousins dog to get groomed (have been going here for a few years now). They called back after 3 and a half hours saying they didn’t groom him because he was being “very aggressive” , this dog is never aggressive towards anyone. He came back feeling very down, no idea what they done to him. Reported to head office and will never take him back.

Worst grooming service ever! I took my dog there and the grooming lady tied him to a leash and left him alone in a room and didn’t even groom or wash him. One of the girls there said he’ll be done in 45mins but he was there for 3 and half hours. We went to pick him up and he wasn’t even washed or groomed. PETBARN STAFF AND GROOMER ARE AMAZING. The GROOMER at Petbarn is A1. I have taken my groodle to many other groomers and none of them actually care like the GROOMER at Petbarn. The staff at Petbarn are very knowledgeable and are always asking if I need help and have helped me with my choices every single time. I have recommended all friends and family to the this store.

I know times are tough but really . I needed exactly two metres of aquarium air pipe as what I had was old and brittle. I looked at my new piping thinking it wasn't 2 metres but hey, how hard is it for a staff member to cut 2 metres of pipe. Obviously to hard. Needless to say I'Il have to buy more. Such a simple thing to do yet, It can't be done properly.

Absolutely feral service, I have been taking my dog there for years. After the change of new hires the services has been disgusting was told my dog was very aggressive (friendliest dog you’ll ever meet) but yet apparently they were trying with him for three hours when came for pick up time he was on a leash crying. He’s never been the same ever since.

I am currently isolating with Covid so had to use the same day delivery service to order my dog food. I placed my order at 9.22am and the product was delivered to my door at 9.51am. The online ordering system was easy to navigate and could not have asked for a faster service. My doggies thank you with full bellies.

i called this morning about my cat myer and omg the staff there are angels she told me thay were full told what was going on with myer she said if there are any cancelations she call me .. 10 mins later she called back i love this vet which i have never been to .. after this there my vet .. thankyou so so much

Lazy, incompetent staff. Went to buy a dog bed that showed in store online, l couldn't find it on the shelves, ask store member if they had it but was told that's all there is. Ordered online and got it delivered by Uber for extra from same store, just plain lazy, thanks for nothing.

We got our golden retriever groomed and were very happy they did a great job, they were so lovely to us aswell, fit us in, didn't rip us off like other grooming places and from start to end were very nice and caring. Definitely always coming back here. Thank you petbarn

Called at short notice as my dashound needed a grooming before going on a plane to Qld They were able to get us in even though they were busy Staff were absolutely great and the price was very reasonable We will be using petbarn in Qld when we finally get there

My one stop for all my pet needs, been going to this place when it first open, staff have always very helpful and if it’s not in stock they will place a order for me. Lots of car park so you won’t have issues in finding car park. Keep up the great work

Magnificently friendly customer service, very clean and inviting store. Everything lovely and stocked, with cat adoptions available at the back. This store even runs free pet photography sessions every few months! Better than most pet Barns!

Took my girl 3 weeks ago. 6 months old came out the same as she went in except for the front of her neck being shaved. $75. It's a joke. Took her to a Groomer today and she is a Groomer. So happy and $60. Never Petbarn again. DISGUSTING.

Just rang the shop about a item person on the phone was very unhelpful would not put a item on hold for me and very unprofessional in customer service think twice if your going to buy from this pet barn

Not great customer service, too busy gas bagging to a tradie. I was eventually helped but it seemed like I was a pain for my $15 spend. Maybe if I had spent more I would have had a better experience.

Good store with excellent staff who assist with any and all pet shopping needs and queries. Petbarn have in store pet wash, grooming and training school though must book these well in advance.

Staff here are Friendly, Knowledgeable, Patient and Honest. It's hard to find a store with genuine people who actually care and are interested in their customers, and these gals nailed it!

They have a great range of pet supplies and unlike Bunnings there will always be someone available to assist. If only they stock Whiskas can food. I would not need to step into Coles.

Pricing compared to other chain stores seems competitive. We always find the staff to be very helpful, Adam was especially knowledgeable and was very patient with our questions

Knowledgeable staff good range of products and reasonable prices. I had to return a product that was faulty and thy upgraded it to the newest version but matched the price.

I had my Irish Setter groomed at Petbarn. I was very happy with the groomer and service. I thought the price was reasonable and will take my dog there again.

It's a decent sized PetBarn, with everything you'd expect to find there. We were impressed by the aquarium staff, which has a goldfish expert. Very helpful.
