The staff were lovely. But the whole store smelt like dog pee, it was disgusting. I bought a dog harness that had been hanging on a lower part of a rack and it wasn't until I got home that I realised some dog has peed all over it, its now soaking in the laundry sink. I probably would have noticed the stink earlier if the whole store hadn't smelt like that already. Not impressed. For a fairly over-priced store at the best of times, I see no reason to go back if the expensive goods are ruined already. I also saw another customer with their dog come in an use a few of the dog brushes?? without buying any of them?? left fur on the floor and probably the brushes too. So please, if you go there with your dog make sure its actually trained not to just relieve itself wherever it wants.

Very disappointed today with Petbarn Eltham. Website indicated store was open until 6:00pm but when I got there at 5:15pm the door was locked. I noticed someone was in the store as the lights were on.I knocked on the door as I really needed Cat food and they came to the door but told me that they were closed early due to the public holiday and the website hadn't been updated. I didn't mind that, but I explained the situation relating to my need to purchase Cat Food, but was told that the registers were closed up for the evening. I was willing to pay cash (I didn't even mind not getting change money) but they still were not willing to help. I guess Petbarn is not overly caring when it comes to the need of your pet if it is outside their normal business hours.

Great store for cat food! 1. Always check Petbarn's online price for single order. Store items usually show full price even when there is sale online. If the price quoted at Counter is higher than that online, ask to price match. 2. Become a member. You'll save compared to non-member price. Always check imvoice to ensure you have received member price. This is something their system gets consisrently wrong. Compare the invoice unit price to what is advertised on their online store. If you find you have been incorrectly charged, raise it with tje folks at the counter. They are usually quitr helpful.

Went in on Monday after work to pick up some items for our newly adopted dogs. All the staff were friendly and offered assistance. In particular Emily (I'm pretty sure that was her name) was super helpful. She had extensive knowledge about pet food and helped me choose the best options for my pups. I will definitely be coming back to this store, and will be recommend it to anyone in the area who needs pet supplies or even just some information.

Terrible store, terrible driveway entry which damaged my cars front bumper and they don't want to assist. First they blamed the council, then the council said it was the business, then the business blamed the landlord. Ultimately a person with a disability car has been damaged trying to purchase a product from their business. More horrifyingly, they claim their is no camera footage of the incident on their front driveway. Horrible business.

ordered from pet barn two weeks ago spent a lot of money on dog food two weeks later it was delivered to the wrong address then they sent out a new order apparently and I received a tiny box with some treats I Ordered but not the 40kg of dog food I had payed for will never ever be ordering through pet barn again I would stick with local small business i am so much money out of pocked and still no dog food weeks and weeks later

The team here are all sorts of awesome. Super helpful and knowledgeable, they're passionate about what they do and the advice they offer is fantastic. I should also mention the range of products... I mean, it's a shop after all so, top marks here too! Great range and if you're a member, very good discounts for your pet.

Staff are super nice and friendly. I can’t say much for the dog or cat services. I was disappointed recently to see that their exotic / small animal range has gotten smaller, however, not entirely as a lot of the products sold were unsafe. They sell a lot of unsafe and dangerous products for rodents

Amazing service, Chris the store manager was really patient with us as we were adopting a grey hound and talked us through different products and their benefits and use cases with our new friend. Could not recommend them any higher based on the service we received. Will definitely be back!

Always friendly service at Eltham Petbarn. Good variety of products and they also let employees bring their dogs to work! They have your standard dog and cat fare but they cater to small furries like rabbits and Guinea pigs, mice and rats, birds and even reptiles.

Very friendly staff. The DIY dogwash is great. I definitely recommend the conditioner. My coarse haired dog feels nice and soft for the first time ever after only one wash! Both my dogs smell amazing. Definitely recommend and I will be returning. :D

During Christmas time, I bought my very first chihuahua puppy! I was so excited I dashed over to this Petbarn, where I was received with the warmest of welcomes. The staff were very informative, especially when it came to Emerald's breed.

Friendly staff, helped me with good advice. I was looking for a specific poultry medicine, they didn't have it and he helped me on where I might get it. Shows he really cared about helping me and my pets.
