Staff here are super friendly, helpful and genuinely loves to talk pets. The DYI dog bathing stations are well maintained and easy to use. The standard $10 baths get you rinse, shampoo, conditioner, flea rinsert and blow dry. Much easier to wish the dog here than at home in the bath tub! Yes, compared to competitors, their prices are (on average) 50c to $3 more expensive for the same items but you'll not see staff standing behind the counter, chit chatting to each other. They are on the floor engaging with customers or making the store presentable. The store is well organised and has a wide range of products.

Staff is always helpful with water testing for our fish tank and advice. Also I took my dog in who had skin issues who needed medicated wash and a hydro bath and even tho technically they're hydro bath area was closed the lady was kind enough to let me do it because she could tell my dog needed this special stuff on her skin. And she also gave me extra time because she needed to be completely covered twice. It was really nice to have someone care. Alot of people look at my sharpei like she's infectious or something cause she has skin issues. But they were all lovely

I’d asked a team member to grab me a SMALL play pen from the top of the shelf, and she had grabbed a large size instead. Because we were both in a rush as they were closing the store I hadn’t realised until I got home and opened it up. The team members were polite, just not very welcoming or positive & friendly unfortunately. Also when the worker saw me with a 12kg bag of dog food struggling to hold it on my own, she didn’t offer any help or get me a trolley or something, neither did any of the other workers. Not impressed.

This place is a huge warehouse style one stop pet shop. Prices are very competitive for the area. As well as the standard range of dog and cat paraphernalia, also available in the store are a large range of fish and associated products, dog washing facility and cat adoption, I wish I could buy each one every time I went there. There is always a dog or two on a leash in the store to pat. Staff are always helpful however some extra staff on registers would help as they are often busy serving in store.

It has everything a cat or dog owner will want. However it is lacking in the bird department. It does not have a good range of chook foods and it's fresh mealworms are often dead. The free range mix it has is not a fan-favourite of mine or my chooks. I suggest to the managers, if they are reading this, order less mealworms more often so that your stocks are alive yet consistent rather than bulk ordering occasionally. Also, Peter's free range is A+ yet affordable, see if you can source it!

If I could award more stars, I would. This was my first experience here as the product I seeking was in stock. My rating is based on the customer service I received from Ben. Ben is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. After explaining how complex my geriatricat's condition is, he ensured that other products I was interested in were suitable for him. Friendly and helpful person at counter, wish I'd got name, who directed me to cat nip spray and suggested a few things for an anxious cat. Fortunately, this cat is not very anxious, more to get him used to a new place. Having said the above, I wouldnt shop here as prices are very high. If you want a toy or bowl or something similar, go to kmart or budget shop. Like baby products, pet products have a premium. For many people, their pets are their babies.

Super happy with the customer service. The staff always check to see if there is a discount available without asking. I saved $60 on a 15kg dog food just because the lady checked the website. I don't care about the discount but I do care about the extra attention the staff pay. A+++. I'm also not a reviewer usually. Only doing this because they were so good. Kirby is the Lady's name according to my Receipt. She deserves a gold star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great big store with everything you need for your dog , cat , fish , rabbits etc.( NO Equine.) There is a do- it - yourself dog wash too. At times they have kittens or cats for adoption, a fantastic idea. Fresh dog and cat food available. Staff are very helpful and polite and always have a kind smile and greeting for you furbaby .They will even help you to your car with heavy items. I would give them 5 stars but for the high prices .

I gave them this rating because the first staff member I spoke to over the phone was Max he was very nice and helpful he gave me a really good deal as I was buying in bulk and had a bit of a drive to get there and I couldn't get the product elsewhere so now I will be coming back to you guys I've signed up and hopefully get the same good deals all the other staff members were very good also

Let put it simple, this is a general pet supply store, I bought gold fishes from here, very good price, and healthy compare to some other place I've been, but I've made some queries, somehow the staff said, "not sure, don't know" that saying they only have basic or general knowledge but not expert. I gave 5 stars for the price wise, highly recommend if you know what exactly you after.

For products and floor service I give these guys 5 stars but what’s up with being charged $25 more for dog food in store unless I tell them at checkout that the price was less online? Less online at their store to be clear and online it said nothing about being charged more instore. My pet warehouse in Ringwood don’t do this. It’s a very sneaky policy that nearly cost me $25 today.

I would encourage if considering shopping with petbarn to reconsider Nunwading store as they’re quick to prevent you utilising there dog wash services for the sake of knocking off work early, staff are very unsympathetic when explaining you’ve driven to the store specifically for that unpleasant customer service, I would encourage visiting bayswater store never had any issues there

Got much of the everyday items needed to keep your furry friends entertained. Also they have in-store offers that are pretty good. They have a loyalty program that's rewarding and hand out discount cards occasionally to save 20% on pet food. Not many stores have a dog wash which is a shame as I'd frequent them even more if they did (my dog is a dirt magnet).

Very friendly staff and huge product range. What I hate is the pricing structure. I bought some Royal Canin German Shepherd Puppy. Thre prices quoted: in store $149 for non regular purchase & $115 for regular purchase. Online $114 for click and collect which wasn't really any different than heading into store. Why so complex? Cost variation is rediculous.

Just visited this store and we where served by a young lady named Caity. She was by far the most helpful shop assistant ive ever come across. She was extremely knowledgeable about the products and took time to recommend and educate me and answer all my questions. I am 10/10 impressed with the service from her today.

This is quite a large outlet of Petbarn chain off Whitehorse Rd. Parking is easy and accessible through the service road. Conveniently there are watering bowls for thirsty dogs outside. Staff are helpful in providing assistance and advice on different products.

Overall petbarn is usually terrific. Its prices are abhorrent, but its service and enthusiastic staff more than make up for this. I usually shop here for my dog and aquarium needs, and on most occasions, staff have been extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
