Located in Sydney CBD very popular shopping mall. Five star hotels like Hilton Towers, Fullerton Hotel, etc. close by. Well connected with Buses, Trains, Light Rail, Taxis and shared transport means. Myers, JB Hi-Fi, Westfield Shopping Mall, Vodafone, Optus, Telstra, etc brand name shops. Lots of coffee shops, pastry shops, fast food shops and eateries. Popular with young college and high school students for evening walk, socialising, shopping and window shopping. People show off their jewellery and clothes. Good for family strolls. Resting / Seating places in heart of the Sydney CBD. Great shows by BUSKERS. Also, good location for public opinion influencers for putting up their views, audio/video presentations. A great place to have a good time in good company.
This is a 200 metres mall of the busiest and most cosmopolitan shopping precinct in Sydney. It runs from Market Street to King Street. I'm always fascinated with the number of people that frequent this Mall especially during lunch time. I don't mind meeting friends here, people watching, being entertained by buskers and then window shopping. Most notably are the different arcades that are located here; Westfield Sydney, The Strand Arcade, MidCity Centre and Stockland Glasshouse (now called Sydney Arcade). This is the ultimate shopping destination in Sydney. You get ultra affordable to midrange to high-end products, from sandals to high fashion. There's a Woolworths metro here as well as endless cafés and restaurants. Worth exploring.
Pitt Street Mall is the best shopping and dining experiences in Sydney! I love it to pieces and most of my days out in Sydney end up being here because there's just so many delicious restuarants as well as awesome clothes shops. There's also lots of buskers who perform in the main strip down the middle during the weekends! The best buskers are the drummer and the spanish guitarist. I've been down here just to watch the fantastic buskers many, many times! There's also Myer with so many levels of nice clothes. There's also JB Hifi for all your electronic needs - like the latest smart watches coming out now! Seriously, Pitt Street Mall is number one for shopping in all of Sydney! You have to come here!
Pitt Street Mall is a pedestrian only section of Pitt Street. It is considered the main shopping precinct in Sydney Central Business district. Home to all the major international and Australian retailers including H&M, Zara Home, Sephora, Microsoft & Nespresso. There are also large shopping centres which have access via Pitt Street Mall including Westfield, The Strand Arcade and Mid City Centre. Pitt Street Mall is always crowded but never unpleasant. Its now a smoking free area too which is great.
It is fairly simple for someone visiting to waste a few hours roaming around the Pitt Street Mall and the areas surrounding it. The availability of free WiFi at Mid city and Westfield makes it quite easy to enjoy some people watching while having a cup of coffee or a snack, and there appears to be an endless parade of different buskers performing at each location. There is convenient access to public transportation, and Martin Place and Circular Quay are also within walking distance.
GREAT SHOPPING STRIP IN A FULLY PEDESTRIAN ZONE Pitt St has a really nice vibe with the wide traffic - free street, buskers, beautiful old shop fronts restored and lots of shopping options. All the major department stores are within reach here as well as the Apple, Samsung and Microsoft tech stores. Gets very busy - especially with the ever growing number of tourists in those long snaking tour groups. Good place to head for food, shopping and crowd watching :)
Sydney's main central pedestrian-street shopping "mall", this along with some very close-by areas is the place to go to for plenty of shopping, eating/drinking and even people watching. There's Myer, plenty of clothing stores, JB Hi-fi and food courts accessible from here and often there's some live entertainment including buskers around. Around Christmas time there's Christmas decorations, and at night lit up with lights and themed music.
Best Mall IN Sydney ,so much to do ,Pitt Street Mall is the pedestrianised section of Pitt Street in the Sydney central business district, in the Australian state of New South Wales. Running for approximately 200 metres between Market Street and King Street, it is one block long and one of Australia's busiest and most cosmopolitan shopping precincts. Just so many different food outlets, bars restaurants and shopping retailers
Sydney is not a crowded place but if you enjoy seeing more people and enjoy the shopping atmosphere, this is the place to go. Surrounded by a number of large shopping malls and food courts, this is an all-in-one place. Good for tourists and local Sydneysiders. Christmas time is always full of Christmas atmosphere. A great place to spend a day. It is like the central place for other attractions in the city as well.
This area is a massive shopping area. I believe the Pitt Street Mall is just the ground level? I was a bit confused, but there are a bunch of stores all connected. The stores go across a few city blocks and go up multiple levels. Some of the levels have really high end stores such as Chanel and Dior, but also, very affordable options such as Zara or Uniqlo. They also have street performers around the area too.
A variety of food places to choose from. If visiting during weekdays, its best to have an early lunch(11:30am) or outside of office hours lunch (from 1:45pm ). The day I visited which was a Friday, KFC had a long line and back log on food orders. Dining staff are always cleaning and clearing tables and cleaning chairs where appropriate. A couple of food outlets have their own dining space. Good ambiance.
Pitt Street is everything you think of in a city mall, brand names galore with all the prices to match, large busy crowds of shoppers, eateries, and buskers. If you have the money and are looking for high end goods this is paradise. Unfortunately if you want anything less bespoke this is not a place to go. You are better served going to the outer city shopping malls, getting there quickly by train.
Great place for shopping and just sitting down to relax, listen to the buskers sing outside. The shopping buildings are mostly connected here. So if it rains, you can still move around, via the underground tunnel walkways to the train station. Lots of Eateries in the vicinity. The food court at the basement through Myers has plentiful to choose from. Always great to be back here, for work.
Sydney’s Pitt Street Mall is popular with both tourists and residents from all over Sydney. You can shop inside stores like Myer, Sephora, Zara, Tiffany & Co. Or you can browse the lovely shops and cafes in the beautiful Strand Arcade which is my personal favourite. I love looking at the architecture of this building. Or have some takeaway and sit outside and listen to the cool buskers.
The busiest shopping district in the Sydney cbd, enclosed by 3 major shopping centres (David Jones, Westfield & Myer) and a number of food courts. The Strand Arcade in a gorgeous addition, bringing some beautiful boutique stores and some great coffee shops. The mall gets a little crowded during lunch times as you would expect, especially when there are baskets around.
The best mall located in the Sydney central business district. This is the no.1 shopping complex in Sydney. You can fulfill all your needs under one roof!!! Not only to shop something but you can also visit here to spend some good time with family or friends!!! You can also pay a visit to the cafe to taste some of city's best flavours. So try it must!!!
As a visitor it is very easy to kill a few hours wandering the Pitt St Mall and surrounds. Free WiFi at Mid city and Westfield make it very easy to enjoy some people watching over a coffee or snack and there also seems to be an endless procession of alternating buskers. Public transport is great, close to Martin Place and all downhill to Circular Quay.
Sydney needs more (nice) pedestrian only zones. Pitt St is very popular, very crowded and lacks food outlets/cafes. Australia needs more European style city centres with more space for pedestrians and a good mix of shops, with terraces where one can sit down and enjoy food or drinks too. Pitt St is shopping only and too crowded. Poor parking/access.
Pitt Street Mall is one of the busiest malls in Sydney CBD.It is located in the heart of the City. Whenever you go there you can see the hustle bustle of people, enjoy music and fun activities over there. The best thing about this mall is that it is in the middle of Westfield Sydney and QVB.So you can find lots of branded shops over here.
I really enjoyed the malls beauty. They have a huge variety of so many shops. It was a rainy day so I went shopping instead and not to far from opera house in circular Quay. They have nice Resteraunts here. So many things to do for hours here I bought many new clothes items here. I would highly recommend this place!!!
Pitt Street mall is great for food and shopping for just about anything you need and things you don't need or good for a day off just walking though and haveing a look then lunch with family or friends I'm not getting g pay too say any of this I just love the mall and everything it has have a great day or days peter
Pitt Street Mall offers a variety of shops and a vibrant atmosphere, but it can feel overwhelmingly crowded, especially during peak times. Navigating through the throngs of people can be challenging, detracting from the overall experience. A three-star rating due to limited space for large crowds
Popular place as everyone in the world seem to be here and all at the same time too. Yes it's a bit crowded. The sanctioned Buskers are always good artists and the shops are your standard international chain stores within the usual Aussie shopping emporiums. Tourists might like this place.
It's a pedestrian mall full of bearded hipsters smoking like puffing billy, tuneless buskers, skateboarders & bicycle delivery people in training for the Tour de France. All in all a thoroughly unenjoyable place. Just hurry through & maybe it won't hurt.
Homeless bedding lining the streets outside luxury stores, everybody smoking their faces off, Gen Z buskers that have been told they are amazing their entire lives singing depressing music that belong at a funeral. How is Sydney a Global City exactly?
It's more than just a regular street, or shopping shops all along it. It is lively enough to host numerous artistic, musical, protest, and cultural events. It is home to high-end retailers as well as tech giants like Apple and Microsoft. I love ..
An immensly crowded place during lunch hours. Full of shops and full choice to eat in food court. Nothing much can be said as it's huge. Mall is good and spacious. Nice and clean. Escalators were working. Food courts are also good but too crowded.
the smokers sitting in the areas with the signs with the "no smoking" is such a huge turn off. why can't they police this a bit more...or just rid of the no-smoking sign if it doesn't mean it. terrible to hang out there with all that smoke....
Sydney's central shopping centre with a range of shops from affordable to high end. The food court has a diverse range of options too. It's a good place to go for a wander or a shop on a hot or rainy day, or on your lunch if you work close by.
Access to many department stores and boutique shops great place if you want to catch up with friends for lunch or a quick coffee there're many cafes and restaurants there's seating in the mall if you just want to sit and watch time go by
Nice space. It can be a little difficult to navigate at times with crowds, buskers and the various bits of odd street furniture getting in the way of free flowing foot traffic. Don't forget to look up on the evening to see lights etc.
Love this place. Ultra luxury and mostly able to find whatever you are looking for. Most brands are available and with some exceptions, most staff at majority of the stores are very friendly and go the extra mile to help.
I love Pitt Street Mall bcos it has some very good shops, atm's & food court. It is located in the heart of the city. It is always very busy there bcos its very popular. Outside the Mall, there r lots of very good shops.
Love coming here with the kids just like our parents used to bring us here as kids... it’s just a step above everything else that is on offer in the suburban shopping malls... great atmosphere in a world class location.
A great location for shopping and dining. Always has a busy vibrant feel to it. Only a short walk to the QVB light rail station. There’s a Westfield, Myer, Woolworths, Haighs chocolates, Rebel Sport and much more.
What’s not to like about Pitt street mall. Vibrant, busy, sprawling with tourists and shoppers, lots of buskers and live entertainment. Entrances to Myers and David Jones from the pedestrian access point as well.
The Christmas and boxing day rush was a little too much for me. Swamp of people that have no manners. I was run into almost 3 times. Food court was unbearably hot. Turn on the air conditioning for goodness sake.
The heart of Sydney's retail shopping and varoius buskers - from the professionals to the occasional battler willing to do some karaoke and make a few dollars. ... that's what makes the city. .. all are welcome.
One of my favourite places to visit in Sydney CBD because of the free public and phone charging station. Most of the shops are a bit expensive but I always like to check out the Typo and Cotton on.
Pitt Street Mall has always been there for me. From getting my records signed when there was a HMV on site to getting my shoes shined. Wanna get stuff? Then Pitt Street Mall has it all.
I thought that pitt street mall is a building..but the truth is there are a least 3 malls along pitt street and the area is called pitt street mall..it consist myers, westfield, mid city
Come and view the urban consumer in its natural mating environment. The food court at the basement through Myers has plentiful to choose from. Always great to be back here, for work.
Nice open plan . Could use some signage for location if things as even the best gps's get confused in the CBD but other than that it's good. However they need to vet the buskers .
Always nice place to visit. Lots of shops, nice atmosphere, variety of caffes to choose from. Food court, if you are there for lunch. Close to public transport too.
Another great mall in Sydney and a definite must stop location! Great for shopping for all prices, ages and styles with a really good food court and public spaces!
Be carefull, carparking fee would be extremly expensive and no validation at all.Shopping archade which has a noble atomosphere.Good to see high brands.
I enjoyed walking around here looking at the Christmas decorations in the stores and laneway. Also saw some interesting shop displays in the windows.
Great range of stores. Walking through a mall is always wonderful. I love the way they have outdoor seating for anyone. Very civilized.
Brilliant atmosphere, fantastic music. Just a perfect place to stop and enjoy a brew. We added the loaded fries with Irish curry sauce.
A place I like to sit and relax as a rock in the stream watching the ceaseless passing parade of oh humanity / especially Xmas crowds
The experience has been amazing. A landmark place and you can never get tired shopping here. So much to do and always so little time.
Nice and lively area with lots of shopping stores. Pity we had 2 rainy days which didn't allow us to take fully opportunity.
Lovely mall. Good mix of high end and upper middle class stores. Good mix of different cuisines on the top floor food court.
Be prepared! Xmas season is upon us, this place is packed and compounded by the crowds watching the street performances.
Always loved Pitt St Mall, for more than 30 years. Buskers are annoying. But the atmosphere there is always buzzing.
Fabulous selection of high end shops, heaps of hustle and bustle, plus periodic entertainment thrown into the mix!
Busy place with crazy buskers & cold-bitters all looking for a buck. Needs more seating& more greenery... …
Very central. It was a 22 minute walk from my hotel. It was easy to get to Myer and David Jones. Lots of shops
The space has become quite unpleasant. It’s seems to be a place of non-stop pointless vegan protest.
It was just fun to walk around the area. Beautifully designed street and great selection of stores.
Luxury places for shopping. Walking distance to opera house and harbour bridge around 10 - 15 mins
We love the mall around the pitt street too it is so beautifull clasic building make more elegance
Great range of stores, cafes & eateries. There is something for everyone. Recommended …
A key pedestrian public space in the heart of Sydney CBD with lots of places to do shopping
Very vibrant and vivid place which can be relax, watch musicians play and people watching
Great place to shop stop and have a coffee and relax listening to various street buskers
You'll be spoilt for choice here - great food options topside including a JB Hifi
A fresh coat of paint has done wonders for the Pitt Street Mall in Sydney's CBD.
Great walking meeting space. Needs trees. Needs more appropriate seating.
Always great entertainment and a great atmosphere …
full with stores, highly crowded, not too cheep as one could consider.
The living hub of Sydney particularly during Black Friday sales.
A vary large complex of food shops in the middle of the town
☯️Love the animal rights protests that go on there☮
Massive, lots of variety but expensive
I didn’t even get a photo with margo
Alright has a good variety of shops
Lego shop art work made from logo
Nice place for food and shopping
So many people different shops.
Nice mall with designer stores
